Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 487: Her Inside Information

Chapter 487: Her Inside Information

"Annie reports to you every two weeks; haven’t you been listening carefully?"

"I listen." Jasper Sinclair wouldn’t dare say he doesn’t listen.

"You’ve invested fifty million in VK. Aren’t you afraid you’ll lose every penny in the end?"

Nora Northwood’s delicate brows and eyes showed a serious expression.

The other party, however, said lightly, "A bit of pocket change spent to win your smile has fulfilled its original value."

After leaving the banquet, Jasper Sinclair was about to drive someone back to the villa when he received a phone call.

Nora Northwood saw through his reluctance to speak, feeling increasingly desolate inside that she had come to see through him; it seemed their roles had reversed.

To avoid mutual embarrassment, she took the initiative to say, "I’ll go back myself, you go ahead and take care of your business."

Jasper Sinclair was truly overwhelmed by her subtle sense of distance and was still pushing aside his duties, "It won’t take long; I’ll take you first."

There was always something held between them.

That evening, Nora Northwood still went back to the villa alone, without letting anyone take her.

She sat alone in the spacious living room, feeling increasingly depressed.

So, she made an impulsive purchase and picked up a new car; now she was a car owner too.

...

Jasper Sinclair arrived at the place where Rachel Woodward had asked him to meet, in a café in the business district.

She had arrived early and waited for a while.

She stirred the coffee in her porcelain cup, releasing a strong aroma.

"Cousin, you’re three minutes late."

Jasper Sinclair sat down opposite Rachel Woodward, his posture upright, catching the sidelong glances of several young women at the next table.

The café’s dim lighting intentionally created an ambiance; he didn’t respond but instead said, "You have twelve minutes left."

Rachel Woodward felt a chill run through her heart upon hearing this.

She expended great efforts to invite him here, not intending for just a brief meeting.

She had been eagerly awaiting the moment when this couple’s relationship finally broke down; how could she not seize this opportunity?

She adjusted her expression, red lips and white teeth, "First, let’s see what you might like to drink. I remember we came to this café a long time ago."

She deliberately brought up past events, hoping to stir Jasper Sinclair’s memories.

It proved that once again her efforts were in vain.

Jasper Sinclair’s gaze lingered on the menu for only a second before he looked back at her, "No need, let’s get straight to the point."

Rachel Woodward felt both ashamed and annoyed, thinking this man was as insensible as a piece of wood.

She didn’t know that the limited amount of emotion he had was all given to Nora Northwood.

After a moment of silence, she spoke, "Jenson Sinclair is with Nora Northwood’s brother."

Upon hearing this, Jasper Sinclair’s expression turned slightly cold, "Jenson Sinclair and you are on the same side."

They all belonged to the Sinclair Family’s second branch, making them his opponents.

"I don’t belong to any side, though if you need, I can consider aligning with you."

Rachel Woodward took the opportunity to express her thoughts, her gaze toward the man heated and intense with hidden anticipation.

A faint sneer appeared in Jasper Sinclair’s eyes, "And then sell my whereabouts to Jenson Sinclair?"

From their earlier interactions, Rachel Woodward knew this man had never been concerned about sentiments, but she didn’t expect that even in face-to-face situations, he would leave no room for her.

"Cousin, I think you have a slight misunderstanding about me."

Jasper Sinclair raised his arm and glanced at the Rolex on his wrist, "Time’s about up; I’ve received your news. My assistant will transfer some money to your account."
