Chapter 472: Accidents Keep Happening

Chapter 472: Accidents Keep Happening

At the same time.

In the corner of the main hall, Louis Hayes handed his private phone to Jasper Sinclair and said, "The phone from the old residence."

This was already the third call today; Peach Bell somehow had found out his private number and was calling him every now and then.

On any other day, Jasper would assume the young girl was simply bored and looking for something to do.

But on the day of the VK ribbon-cutting ceremony, it made him restless.

The Sinclair Residence, surrounded by the garden, was in complete chaos.

Peach Bell’s delicate face was blurred with tears, making it hard to discern her original appearance.

"Call an ambulance quickly," Raina Sinclair spoke with urgency, tightly clenching her thumbs.

"Our car is faster; maybe we should take Miss Bell to the hospital first," the butler reminded beside her.

"Her leg is injured, making movement difficult. Better wait for the doctor. Go calm down the old lady and make sure she doesn’t come downstairs."

Raina Sinclair’s beauty salon had a partnership with VK and she was invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Originally intending to attend, she was caught off guard when Peach Bell fell from the stairs on the second floor.

By the time the butler found her, she was lying weakly at the bottom of the stairs.

Considering the risk of fractures, nobody dared to act recklessly.

Luckily, she was still hanging on.

...

The door of the Tesla electric vehicle opened, revealing a slender, fair leg emerging from the green velvet hem, accompanied by the sound of high heels touching the ground as Nora Northwood stepped out slowly.

"President Northwood." The waiters, hired at a high price, stepped forward to greet her.

"Is Manager Sloan inside?" she asked.

"He’s currently entertaining the young master of the Lawrence Family."

Nora slightly nodded, inwardly acknowledging that the three-thousand-dollar-a-day waiters had proven worthwhile, being able to remember every participant in such a short time.

Megan Underwood got out from the other side of the vehicle, specifically choosing a black formal dress to avoid a "red and green" clash, with a nearly one-meter skirt trailing behind.

She gestured to another waiter, "Check the hem of the dress."

Without needing further explanation, the handsome waiter had already bent down to carefully adjust the hem for her.

Then, the three of them proceeded together to the first-floor lobby.

Lily Sloan spotted Nora among the crowd’s focal point and quickly approached, "Nora, the guests are almost all here; the event is expected to start in ten minutes, and the live broadcast equipment and reporters have been arranged."

After saying this, she gestured an OK sign.

Nora originally wanted to ask where Jasper Sinclair was, but it felt awkward; her hesitation was noticed by Yvonne Winslow, who promptly asked on her behalf.

"Is Mr. Sinclair attending the ceremony? Is he here yet?"

"He was just here; I’ll have someone look for him."

Immediately, the group dispersed, and Yvonne quietly pulled Nora aside to a less crowded area, "Nobody knows about you and Mr. Sinclair’s relationship status, so act naturally and don’t let anything slip."

If at this critical juncture, outsiders learn of their marital status, it could bring trouble to VK.

Nora parted her lips as if to speak but was interrupted by a steady male voice, "Nora."

She swallowed the words she was going to say with her saliva, adjusted her smile to perfection, and as their gazes met, she asked, "Jasper, when did you arrive?"

Upon hearing the name "Jasper," there was a subtle change on Jasper Sinclair’s face.
