Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 469: Resolute Determination to Divorce

Chapter 469: Resolute Determination to Divorce

Jasper Sinclair’s heart was suddenly wrenched as he recalled the letters left behind by Mr. Sinclair and Peach Bell’s background.

Unconsciously, Peach Bell had already stayed at the old residence for half a year.

His heart was filled with anxiety, caught in a dilemma.

Raina Sinclair arrived upon hearing the commotion, frowned at the scene before her, "Butler, take Miss Bell back to her room."

This little aunt wasn’t as easy to talk to as Jasper Sinclair; causing such a commotion in the middle of the night was unbearable for the Sinclair Family’s reputation.

Peach Bell was taken away, and the courtyard quieted down again.

"Jasper, you need not interfere in Peach Bell’s matters," Raina Sinclair’s words were not only directed at him but also at Nora Northwood.

"Understood, Aunt."

Afterwards, Raina Sinclair left, closing the room door securely.

...

Nora Northwood sat at the end of the bed, her long eyelashes slightly drooping, blocking the darkness in her eyes.

Jasper Sinclair approached, stopping right in front of her, feeling helpless and awkward.

He leaned forward, his shadow enveloping her, making Nora seem like a little girl.

"Nora."

"Jasper Sinclair, let this farce end already," Nora couldn’t hold it back eventually.

"I will resolve it, just give me a little more time."

"I give you time, but who can give me anything?" she exclaimed fiercely, her nose tingling.

That night.

Jasper Sinclair slept on the sofa.

He thought once August was over and Peach Bell was sent away from The Sinclair Residence, everything would be settled.

Little did he know, how absurd his thoughts were.

The next morning, Nora Northwood woke up around six o’clock; she washed up and changed clothes as usual, showing no abnormality.

Unlike her hysteria the previous night, she had completely calmed down and could even chat and laugh at the dining table.

Jasper Sinclair couldn’t fathom her thoughts but had a vague feeling that things were getting out of control.

After breakfast, she said, "You’re going to work, give me a ride, I’m heading to VK."

So, she got into Jasper Sinclair’s car again.

Throughout the ride, she was tapping away on her phone, seemingly busy with work.

Jasper Sinclair remained silent, unsure what to say under such circumstances.

Soon, the car stopped below VK.

Nora Northwood shut off her screen and unfastened her seatbelt, just as she was about to open the car door, her left hand was pulled.

She turned her head calmly to look at Jasper Sinclair, her eyes devoid of any ripples.

Jasper Sinclair had never seen her so calm, making him feel uneasy.

"Shall I pick you up tonight, okay?" He added, perhaps fearing she would refuse, "It’s also on the way."

"I might work late, let’s see."

Nora Northwood got out of the car, and the door slammed shut with a "bang," hitting the man’s heart like a blow.

Jasper Sinclair watched her back disappear into the revolving door until she vanished completely.

The vehicle remained parked by the roadside, not in a rush to leave.

After a while, he inexplicably asked, "What do you think of Mrs. Sinclair’s personality?"

The driver was taken aback, confirmed there was no one else in the car, then cautiously responded, "Mrs. Sinclair is kind to people, everyone in the Sinclair Family likes her."

"Kind" wasn’t the answer Jasper Sinclair wanted; now, Nora was not kind to him at all.

He held back his breath, and instructed the driver to drive.

A few days later, news of the VK studio’s ribbon-cutting ceremony was announced, scheduled for July 7th.

On this day last year, VK officially established its studio.
