Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 461: Treating Wounds

Chapter 461: Treating Wounds

The doctor was so startled that cold sweat covered his back, thinking he had been too rough. He quickly apologized, "Mrs. Sinclair, it might hurt a bit, please bear with it."

"Let me do it."

Jasper Sinclair spoke up, taking the cotton swab and disinfectant from the doctor’s hand.

He dabbed gently and started to clean Nora Northwood’s wound.

Nora felt both embarrassed and annoyed. It was just a minor abrasion, yet they made such a fuss by coming to the hospital, it would be laughable if others heard about it.

Her defiance was gradually soothed by Jasper Sinclair. To him, it was like a child having a tantrum; a few sweets could calm her down. However, if it dragged on too long, it became rather headache-inducing.

Knees, palms, forearms... every spot showing a hint of redness was thoroughly cleaned by Jasper Sinclair.

Even the doctor admired his meticulousness, feeling inadequate in comparison.

When bandaging, Jasper used a bit more force, causing Nora Northwood to yelp, "Jasper, can you be a bit gentler? It hurts!"

"When you were arguing, why didn’t you think it would hurt now?"

The man saw her tearful eyes and felt a pang of guilt, breathing gently on her wound.

The cool sensation swept over her, as if some kind of magic had been applied, and Nora really felt the pain ease.

Soon, the bandage was wrapped.

"Nora, how about a bow for you?"

Nora couldn’t believe that hidden beneath Jasper Sinclair’s serious exterior was a heart filled with girlish charm.

In that moment, she tossed all her emotions aside and, before she knew it, she nodded. She didn’t notice that her heartbeat quickened, reminiscent of when they first got together.

The summer light quietly crawled up their backs, adding a hint of warmth to the room.

The doctor untimely broke the hard-won silence, "The wound mustn’t get wet within the next three days, be careful..."

Jasper’s eyes darkened.

Afterward, Nora, unwilling to admit anything, said, "I’m going home, to my new home!"

"I’ll have the driver take you."

Jasper Sinclair had figured out her temperament, knowing that when she’s agitated, he had to go along with her quietly, not against her, otherwise her emotions could easily flare up.

Nora didn’t expect it would be so easy to achieve her goal.

Along the way, she lowered her head, playing with her fingers.

Returning to the small villa, she still couldn’t believe that Jasper would let her off so easily.

Of course, she had no intention of sitting in the car contemplating this matter, hastily opening the car door to bid farewell, "I’m going up, goodbye."

"I’ll accompany you."

As she got out of the car, the man on the other side got out as well and walked around to face her.

When they reached the door, Nora’s expression became cautious and careful, she said, "It’s fine to see me to here, Mr. Sinclair. Take care!"

"Solved quite a few problems for you, not inviting me in for a cup of tea?"

"The house is cold and empty, not even any purified water, so I won’t be keeping you."

Nora’s words were always infuriating.

On the way back, the atmosphere had hardly eased, Jasper didn’t want to upset her again, so he let it go.

"See you tomorrow then." He left those words behind and turned to leave.

Nora didn’t understand what he meant by that, nor did she dwell on it, opening the door, and at the moment she closed it, she shut her eyes.

The dramatic day ended here, throughout the whole day, she hadn’t had a drop of water.

Just as she said to Jasper Sinclair, there really wasn’t even any purified water... she hadn’t had time to buy a water filter.

After thinking it over, she ordered takeout.

After being so busy, she didn’t have the energy to go to a restaurant.
