Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 450: Divorce Agreement

Chapter 450: Divorce Agreement

After Nora Northwood left, the man on the bed opened his eyes.

The divorce agreement was kept in the YSL accordion bag. She took it out and placed it on the desk.

Then she found Jasper Sinclair’s private seal and stamped it on the new contract.

Just as she was about to leave the office, she sensed something was off. Turning back, she saw Jasper Sinclair leaning against the door frame, watching her.

Their eyes met, and Nora Northwood felt guilty, like a thief.

"Nora, is this your solution?"

The first ray of morning sunlight slanted through the glass window, illuminating Jasper Sinclair as if casting a golden glow over him. His gaze was deep and his tone extremely grim.

Suddenly, the spacious flat was plunged into a deathly silence.

After a while, Nora Northwood raised her hand, took off the ring from her ring finger, "I’ll return this to you as well, Mr. Sinclair. Thank you for taking care of me over the past year."

She walked a few steps forward and placed the ring on top of the divorce agreement on the desk.

Then, under Jasper Sinclair’s gaze, she completely departed from the building.

Someone greeted Nora Northwood, but she ignored them, shutting out all external sounds.

Jasper Sinclair contacted the driver by phone: "Madam is downstairs, take her to VK."

Nora Northwood didn’t know how she managed to return to VK. The tension in her body had been pulled too tight for too long, reaching an uncontrollable point before snapping with a pop.

Before she could vent all her negative emotions, the internal phone rang.

"President Northwood, someone from GR wants to meet you."

Nora Northwood made an effort to steady her breathing and replied with a simple "Okay."

Work was work, feelings were feelings, they couldn’t be mixed together. She quickly touched up her makeup before heading to the meeting room to see them.

"President Northwood, what do you think about collaborating with GR?"

This time, Nora Northwood already had her response prepared: "I apologize, but VK’s senior management unanimously believes that right now is not the best opportunity."

The result was unexpected and unsatisfactory to the other party.

"It seems I’m not influential enough to earn your trust, President Northwood."

"You’re joking, there will be plenty of collaboration opportunities in the future. There’s no need to rush."

Truth be told, Nora Northwood found it strange that GR was so persistent in pursuing her.

She thought they should look into the changes in the industry.

The collaboration couldn’t be finalized, and Mr. Morrison left angrily. Nora Northwood didn’t take this matter to heart, as it’s common in the industry.

The VK recruitment process was still ongoing.

In the afternoon, a local service delivered a parcel to the reception desk. The recipient was Nora Northwood, and it was sent to her office.

Nora Northwood opened it immediately without much thought, and a pile of shredded paper lay inside.

She poured it all out, something dropped onto the floor.

It was the diamond ring she had left with Jasper Sinclair, now lying quietly at her feet, exuding a cold gleam.

Contrary to her expectations, she wasn’t sad. Nora Northwood chuckled, thinking Jasper Sinclair’s move seemed like a child’s tantrum, unlike his usual style.

The shredded paper was thrown into the trashcan, and she placed the ring in the bottom drawer, covering it with a pile of documents.

After handling everything, she called Lily Sloan.

"Go to the Lawrence Family and let Elder Lawrence review this formula. Ask Andrea Miller to go with you. If you can see the young Lawrence, you can have Andrea discuss it with him."

When the work was done, Lily Sloan asked her slyly: "The time we went to the temple, was that person the young Lawrence?"

"Yes, it was him."

Distracted by her tangled emotions, Nora Northwood ignored the twinkle in Lily Sloan’s eyes.
