Nora Northwood’s voice was soft, laced with exhaustion, and the question she asked was impossible to answer.
She took a deep breath, the pain radiating from her heart made her spine bend, and she gritted her teeth, saying, "Don’t forget the promise you made me last night."
After a long pause, Jasper Sinclair finally responded, "Go back for now, wait for my message."
Coincidentally, the housekeeper returned after completing the hospital admission procedures and sensed the atmosphere was off.
