Chapter 381: Returning Home Early
Chapter 381: Returning Home Early
After landing, Nora Northwood turned off airplane mode.
The moment she connected to the network, her phone started ringing incessantly, and she wearily switched it to silent mode.
Uncle Kevin and the driver had already arrived at the pick-up point, watching as the lady emerged from the VIP channel, feeling something was different about her.
Perhaps... she was more graceful!
"Ma’am, would you like to rest at the manor for a while or head straight to the studio?"
Having been in transit for nearly twenty hours, Nora initially wanted to take a breather, but recalling Megan Underwood’s urgent matters, she decided against it.
"Let’s go to the studio."
"Sir said you caught a cold a few days ago and insisted on taking good care of your diet and daily needs. I’ve arranged for lunch to be delivered to the studio. Is that alright with you?"
"That’s fine."
During her week away, Nora had truly missed the local cuisine.
On the way, Megan Underwood sent a message every half hour, asking where she was.
As they entered the street of Brenner, Nora gradually understood Megan Underwood’s urgency.
This street had never seen so many luxury cars—modified Mercedes, pure white Alphards, extended Lexus models... everything was there.
In her thunderstruck amazement, the car entered the underground parking lot, stopping at a designated spot.
Uncle Kevin lightly covered his mouth, coughed twice, hinting that they had arrived at their destination.
Nora remained shocked, still in a daze, so Uncle Kevin could only glance at the driver in the front seat.
The driver, with some reluctance, spoke up, "Ma’am, we’re here."
No one knew what she was thinking about.
Nora went alone to the elevator, pressing the "3" button among the floor numbers.
It was evident that the shopping area was much livelier on a workday.
The hall of VK was already crowded, not with customers buying products, but with PR representatives from various brands.
Nora’s mind spun rapidly, guessing what kind of treatment she might face next.
In her dazed expression, Megan Underwood shouted, "The boss is back."
As soon as these words left her mouth, a dozen people around her simultaneously turned to look towards the entrance.
Of course, some people didn’t even know which direction the entrance was.
"Hello, how are you?"
Still in shock, Nora reflexively raised her hand to greet them.
As the saying goes, three women make a play, and for a moment, she felt this was even more spectacular than the high-society gatherings she had attended in the past.
The first to rush towards Nora was a short-haired woman, looking very crisp and sharp, holding a brand leaflet, "Hello, Ms. Northwood, my name is Liya. I believe you might still remember me; we met in France."
With just that last sentence, she outshone most of the competitors.
However, Nora didn’t have a particularly strong impression of this woman... after all, she had met many people in France, and she was a bit face-blind.
But she still politely extended her hand, "Hello, Liya."
Some people had only seen Nora’s pictures in digital media and had never met her in person. Now, seeing her, they found her kind and approachable.
At this moment, Yvonne Winslow approached to explain everyone’s intentions: "A few brands want to collaborate with us on aromas, waiting for you to return to make the decision."
While in Melbourne, Nora was already aware of these people’s intentions. Although she was reluctant to rely on Jasper Sinclair’s fame, she also didn’t want to let the opportunity slip away.
On the way back, she carefully considered picking one or two brands for collaboration.
