Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 378: Leaving France

Chapter 378: Leaving France

The topic concerning The Sinclair Matriarch was left unresolved.

The energy meeting promptly concluded at 4 PM, and Jasper Sinclair met Nora Northwood at the airport.

Nora was reluctantly bidding farewell to Bailey, "Thank you for keeping me company these past three days. If there’s a chance, I’d like to visit you again in France."

"Dear Nora, I’ll also miss you very much. When you return to the mainland, remember to show me the snow and wind there."

...

The plane took off and landed again. The group entered the territory of Mexico, but this time, the landing spot wasn’t an airport but an incomplete harbor.

Nora saw a yacht in the distance and asked Jasper Sinclair, "Are we going on the yacht?"

"To discuss a business deal, which should be concluded in about two hours. You can rest in the room, or if you’re bored, you can play on the deck."

His ambiguous gaze made Nora vaguely feel that this was not an ordinary business transaction.

Boarding the yacht brought another kind of splendor.

There weren’t many people on the yacht, with faces from various countries.

A woman with curly hair wearing an A-line short skirt was looking around near the gangway and finally saw the person she was waiting for.

She approached and respectfully greeted, "Director Sinclair, Madam, good evening, welcome to the super yacht."

"You can call her Bella; she’ll take over Bailey’s role and look after you for a short period," said Jasper Sinclair.

"Take Madam to the lounge."

Jasper deliberately sent Nora away, making it clear that he didn’t want her to know what he was about to do.

Nora followed Bella along the deck into the cabin, hearing a melodious tune she couldn’t identify from which instrument it came.

The first floor of the yacht was for business discussions.

The second floor was equipped with entertainment facilities, which Bella introduced to Nora one by one.

She asked, "What kind of status do most people on this yacht have?"

Bella, merely a junior executive assistant, would not dare to discuss the backgrounds of these people, even if she had the courage. She certainly wouldn’t offend the woman in front of her.

She only said, "They are businessmen who disdain appearing on any wealthy list."

The yacht’s lounge wasn’t much different from a presidential suite in a hotel.

If there had to be a difference, it was that it was carpeted, allowing Nora to safely discard her shoes.

"Madam, do you need dinner service?"

"No, I’d like to be alone for a while." Nora stated her desire bluntly, even if it didn’t sound very polite.

Bella clasped her hands in front of her abdomen, "I’ll be outside. You can call me anytime if you need anything." After saying this, she exited the room.

There was only Nora left here, and she went to the balcony.

The glass door was opened a crack, and the salty sea breeze greeted her, with a crescent moon reflecting over the bay.

There was a rocking chair here, and Nora sat in it.

She gazed at the tranquil sea, and Grandma Sinclair’s face flashed through her mind.

Did Grandma Sinclair come here when she was young?

Nora couldn’t know.

Just as she was about to drift into sleep, a cashmere blanket was draped over her, startling her awake.

Jasper Sinclair’s action of covering her with the blanket froze in mid-air for just a moment before settling, "Sorry, I’ve been working non-stop recently and haven’t taken good care of you."

"I understand, no need to apologize."

Suddenly, a blinding light appeared on the sea surface, with Jasper explaining to her, "It’s the patrol speedboat."
