Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 307: Annual Gala

Chapter 307: Annual Gala

In the past, attending larger banquets required an invitation sent by the organizer to enter the venue, so it’s reasonable that Nora Northwood would ask that question.

The next day at work, she handed the invitation to several others in the studio.

Soon, it was the day of The Sinclair Group’s annual banquet.

Skyscrapers intertwined.

To own a standalone tower in this indulgent city—it speaks volumes about the Sinclair Family’s financial power.

The main hall of the banquet was crowded with journalists, heavily barricaded, but fortunately, security managed the scene promptly, restoring order before Jasper Sinclair arrived.

The striking flashlights were no less dazzling than those at the international event Nora attended a while ago.

Moments later, Jasper Sinclair and Nora Northwood appeared at the scene arm in arm, instantly drawing the journalists’ focus.

The handsome couple filled the camera lenses.

Facing the cameras, Nora Northwood gave a serene smile, her dimples subtly visible, captivating the gathered journalists.

Today, she wore a royal blue velvet gown, her hair styled in an adorable bun at the back, looking like a runaway princess from a fairy tale.

Beside her, the man stood cool and composed.

Different styles clearly, yet their presence together was remarkably harmonious.

"President Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair."

A few industry elites came over, attempting to have a brief conversation.

Exchanging a few words with the business mogul was brag-worthy for years outside.

"Welcome to The Sinclair Group," Jasper Sinclair’s tone was bland, giving no hint of emotion.

On the left side of his chest, he wore a blue brooch, resonating with Nora’s attire, giving off a discreet couple’s vibe.

With the arrival of the main characters, the annual banquet officially commenced.

Jasper Sinclair made his way to the center of the venue, with everyone following to take their seats.

Symphonic music flowed from the speakers as the gala proceeded orderly under the host’s guidance.

Soon, it was Jasper Sinclair’s turn to take the stage.

He gently patted the back of Nora’s hand, "Wait for me a bit." Then, under the spotlight of countless eyes, he walked to the stage.

Nora remained seated, gazing at her husband being the center of attention, her eyes filled with tenderness.

"Sister-in-law, why don’t you go up and say a few words?" A familiar voice suddenly sounded by her ear.

Nora’s admiration for her husband was interrupted, and she glanced at Jenson Sinclair, who had appeared without her noticing.

"I’m not an employee of The Sinclair Group; going up rashly would be impolite."

Jenson Sinclair grabbed two glasses of champagne from a passing server, "A toast to you."

Looking at the champagne glass halted beside her hand, Nora felt a jolt, knowing the two cousins have always been at odds; how could she dare to drink the wine offered by Jenson Sinclair?

Her hesitation equaled to Jenson catching her off guard, "Looks like my cousin doesn’t hold enough sway."

Just as Nora was pondering what excuse was appropriate, another server passed by.

She picked up a glass of orange juice and gracefully said, "Sorry, due to health reasons, I shouldn’t drink alcohol lately; I’ll use juice instead. Hope cousin doesn’t mind." After speaking, she finished the drink in one go.

Jenson Sinclair couldn’t nitpick any further and had to let it go.

Coincidentally, Jasper Sinclair returned; his presence brought a significant chill to the surrounding atmosphere.

"Jenson Sinclair, you seem quite idle." Unlike Nora, Jasper didn’t need to consider appearances, and his first words were jaw-dropping.
