Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 291: First Encounter

Chapter 291: First Encounter

The filming was halted due to the accident.

When Nora Northwood came out of the sea, her face was pale, and her stiff body reactions made everyone on the scene terribly anxious.

"Get her to the hospital quickly!" the director still managed the situation.

The driver sent by Jasper Sinclair drove swiftly to the nearest hospital, speeding all the way.

In the back seat, Annie and Lily Sloan sat on either side of Nora, barely maintaining her balance, fearing any further accidents.

Before long, the GPS showed they were close to the hospital.

The pervasive smell of disinfectant strangely brought a bit of reassurance.

Annie, however, couldn’t feel optimistic. She contacted Jasper Sinclair and sent him the hospital’s location.

Jasper Sinclair arrived in a hurry, a film of sweat on his forehead, his usual composure completely gone.

"Where is Nora?" he stopped in front of Annie, an urgency in his voice like never before.

"In the ward receiving oxygen, the doctor said not to disturb her."

With no options, Jasper could only look at Nora through the small glass windows.

The person on the hospital bed was lying with eyes closed, half her face covered by an oxygen mask, looking lifeless.

Jasper’s heart wrenched inexplicably, his expression equally grave.

He tried to speak in a calm tone, "What did the doctor say?"

Annie answered him, "The seawater was too cold, Nora was in the water for a while and got a fright, nothing else."

"How could an accident happen just out of the blue?"

At this, the ice in the man’s brow furrowed even more.

Annie uncertainly said, "The situation at the scene was complex, some crew members also fell into the water, this matter is under investigation, the person in charge over there said they will give us results as soon as possible."

Half an hour later.

The doctor allowed people to enter, and Jasper was the first by Nora’s side, his trembling hand reaching out to her.

Nora was clearly conscious, yet she was weak, "Jasper, I’m fine."

The more she said so, the more it made people uneasy.

As they were comforting each other, an untimely voice piped up, "Miss Northwood, are you feeling better?"

It was Liam Jacobs who pulled Nora from the water.

By now, Nora had regained her senses.

She licked her lips and gratefully responded, "Feeling better, thank you for pulling me up."

The typical male possessiveness caused Jasper to rise from his chair.

He approached Liam face-to-face, and by the angle, blocked Nora’s body behind him.

Jasper identified himself, "Hello, I am Nora’s husband. Thank you for rescuing my wife from danger. You can leave a bank account number, and I will compensate you accordingly."

Liam’s face showed a flash of anger, "I rescued her because I didn’t want the filming to encounter any incidents. Sir, not everything can be measured by money."

Jasper was used to handling matters with money and power, so this statement surprised him.

"I only wanted to express my gratitude for saving her, with no other intentions."

Louis Hayes, who had been waiting at the door, took the opportunity to step forward and mediate, "Young man, forgive our abruptness. We truly appreciate you saving our lady. You can take this business card, and call the number if you encounter difficulties in the future."

Liam’s expression was unnatural, yet difficult to describe clearly.

He took the business card, said nothing more, and left the ward.
