Fairy, Don't Be Afraid, I Am Blind

Chapter 146 - 115: Who Is You Su?_2

Chapter 146 - 115: Who Is You Su?_2

This Profound Sky Sect is truly a place where dragons and tigers hide, deserving its reputation as a gathering place of heavenly talents.

"Stop at the point of practice, do not use prohibited means, violators will be severely punished!"

Mr. Liu explained briefly, first glancing at Shi Yan who was ready to go, then using the corner of his eye to gauge the calm and composed You Su. He couldn’t help but sigh internally, as if lamenting You Su’s luck.

He originally wanted to introduce this special opponent to You Su in advance, but You Su refused. Whether this blind man truly had the confidence to be so "arrogant" was unknown, but little did they know You Su just wanted fairness.

"Alright, let’s begin."

With Mr. Liu’s command, the eyes of everyone in the audience became intense, some hoping to see a joke, others hoping to witness the rise of a legend.

Not only these disciples were interested in this duel. Mr. Liu did not deliberately hide You Su’s feat of opening the gates of the Divine Mountain in less than half an incense stick of time. Even the hidden true disciples and elders among the clouds wanted to see what the sudden rise of this new disciple from Lotus Peak was truly capable of.

The Third Elder reclined on a plantain leaf flying through the air, supporting her head with one hand, holding a semi-translucent jade wine flask in the other. Draped in a beautiful cyan skirt exuding an elusive Cyan Qi, it accentuated her bare, jade-like shoulder. She took a swig of the wine, causing her curves to be revealed, a beauty beyond comparison.

Though she appeared nonchalant, her eyes occasionally glanced at the arena below the clouds. She took a look at the serious-looking Wangshu beside her, pursing her increasingly radiant lips moistened by the wine, and patted the empty space beside her, saying:

"Little Wangshu, sit and watch, isn’t flying in the sky tiring?"

Fairy Wangshu ignored her, just shook her head, her blue eyes focused intently on her junior brother.

The Third Elder rolled her charming eyes, "Do you distrust your junior brother so much?"

"I trust him, but I can’t sit still seeing him fight others..."

Everyone says you’re an ice fairy, yet you care this much for a junior brother you’ve only known for a few days?

The Third Elder secretly mumbled, suddenly furrowing her brows, sat up straight, and gathered her casual demeanor.

"Who does Third Elder think will win?"

A powerful voice came from behind the clouds, and soon two figures appeared: a robust middle-aged man and a graceful young man, both in brocaded crimson robes, riding on swords.

The middle-aged man smiled gently, and the young man was also courteous, bowing and saying:

"Changwen greets the Third Elder and Fairy Wangshu."

Fairy Wangshu ignored them, remaining focused on her junior brother, while the Third Elder did not turn her head, hiding the impatience in her eyes, her voice unusually cold:

"Does the Fifth Elder think an outer disciple can beat a true disciple? Such people are one in a thousand."

"Third Elder is right, I wonder which blind outer disciple dares challenge the might of Lotus Peak." The Fifth Elder, with a flowing crimson robe, replied with a smile.

The Third Elder clenched the wine flask tightly, sensing the mockery in the Fifth Elder’s words. As sword peaks, Red Rainbow Peak’s true disciples had never been challenged, her voice grew colder, unreserved:

"I had thought Fifth Elder would challenge openly."

The Fifth Elder glanced at the charming silhouette of the woman beside him, not getting angry, and laughed aloud:

"Third Elder, you misunderstand; Shi Yan wasn’t arranged by me. You’ve not taken a true disciple for over ten years; it’s no wonder you don’t know this kid. He’s a freak among outer disciples, joining the sect at seventeen, and over seven years, he’s challenged every true disciple but always lost without exception."

The Third Elder furrowed her dark brows slightly, she seemed to have heard rumors of this person, yet it was always in the form of jokes among disciples. If it’s a joke, then isn’t You Su all the more certain to win?

"He really doesn’t give up until he hits a wall," the Third Elder remarked.

"But after hitting many walls, they can be broken..." The Fifth Elder stood on his sword, hands behind his back.

"Does Fifth Elder think Shi Yan will win?"

The Fifth Elder looked at the field without directly answering, smiling lightly:

"I think Changwen will win."

The young man named Changwen did not act humbly but stood tall with confidence, his eyes sweeping across to the distant snow-white-robed Fairy Wangshu.

Fairy Wangshu, acting detached all along, turned her head upon hearing the Fifth Elder’s words, looking at him with her cold blue eyes, speaking clearly:

"My junior brother will win!"

Once she spoke, she flew directly down toward the arena.

She landed next to Mr. Liu, where the audience was thinnest. Disliking disturbances, she focused only on her junior brother, ignoring the buzz around her arrival.

Back in the field, a thick earth wall rose again, taking the full brunt of You Su’s fierce sword momentum.

You Su held Mo Song Sword in front of his chest with a frown. This young man, Shi Yan, was even more troublesome than he had imagined.

Though an outer disciple, Shi Yan’s techniques of Qi Transformation defense were endless, with a sharp perception of many moves. Even when a sword move could break his defense and topple him, he quickly regained his footing. This slight advantage was not enough to determine victory.

You Su tightened his grip on the Mo Song Sword’s hilt. He initially planned to end the battle quickly but didn’t expect to meet such a turtle-like opponent resistant to attacks.

Knowing he couldn’t delay further, You Su took a deep breath, channeling all his Profound Qi, determined to deliver a decisive blow!

Compared to his first battle with Wu Cheng, You Su’s understanding and use of his Sword Intent had vastly improved.

Gripping the sword with both hands, the surging Profound Qi from the heaven and earth responded to him, inflating his sleeves like a balloon, as invisible Sword Qi spiraled within.

Many eyes narrowed sharply, recognizing You Su’s sword momentum had abruptly heightened, the entirely ebony long sword in his hands seeming to roar like dragons and tigers.

In the sky above, the carefree Fifth Elder’s face paused, and the nearby disciple Changwen was also solemn, with a look of incredulity:

"He...he also has Sword Intent?"

The gloom of being overlooked by Little Wangshu in the Third Elder’s heart vanished. She seemed cheerful, swaying the wine flask to take a sip, her toes under the cyan skirt tapping joyfully.

Facing the sword, Shi Yan showed no fear as if unaware of evasion, or conceding, his muscles bulging as if about to burst through his long robe.

You Su sensed Shi Yan’s determination to take this sword and didn’t hesitate, letting Sword Intent pour like a storm, determined to shatter everything before the sword into thousand sores and hundred holes.

Mr. Liu had already prepared to intervene at the crucial moment to sever this Sword Intent.

In his eyes, You Su had demonstrated why among many talents he’d been the "lucky one" to be accepted into Lotus Peak. Just this near-perfect Sword Intent alone made him nearly invincible within his realm, Shi Yan’s defeat was a foregone conclusion.

Shi Yan, however, seemed oblivious to the unstoppable Sword Intent, planting his feet firmly and leaping towards the Mo Song Sword’s blade.

"Don’t come!"

In an instant, the sound of clothes tearing resonated, and a Hexagram Array suddenly appeared behind Shi Yan, with thick yellow light spreading to his muscular arms, intending to catch the sword barehanded!

On the martial stage, as sword met man, the world resounded, and a burst of tremendous sound waves sprayed out, blowing the hair of those in the front row into the air.

Mr. Liu gazed at Shi Yan lying amidst debris, battered and bruised, with a trace of reluctance in his eyes. This "old acquaintance" uttered his first words today, unexpectedly stopping his protection. For once he intervened, it would signify victory and defeat were decided.

You Su stood aside, sword force surging around him, puzzled why for just a duel, his opponent had to catch the sword.

Mr. Liu sighed softly, announcing, "I declare..."

"Wait!"

Amidst the debris, an angry voice arose.

The heap of rubble unexpectedly piled high, then rolled off Shi Yan’s broad back. Panting heavily, Shi Yan stood, blood lingering at the corner of his mouth, stubbornly stating:

"I haven’t lost yet, I can still fight!"
