Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 954: Preparing the Wedding

Chapter 954: Preparing the Wedding

The women became increasingly happy as they spoke, each expressing her thoughts. As the saying goes, "Three women make a drama"; now with eight women, the drama was even livelier. They were overjoyed at the thought of designing their own villas to their liking. Each of them wore a smile brimming with happiness as they talked and laughed, making their way out of the place. They didn’t want to stay a minute longer and thought it would be good for everyone to discuss and finalize the villa plans.

As for Bai Wanli and Bai Daqi, the women didn’t even consider them anymore. It was obvious what the outcome for the Bai Family would be; they were destined to end up penniless beyond a doubt. In light of this, the women couldn’t be bothered with what remained, except for Qian Duoduo who, before leaving, gave Bai Wanli and Bai Daqi a longer look, the glint of lethal intent flashing through her eyes.

Seeing the group of women ready to leave, Zhu Tao joined them. He had been uninterested in dealing with mere mortals like Bai Wanli and Bai Daqi from the start and knew that others would take care of them naturally. His only job was to ensure the women’s safety, nothing else.

Bai Wanli and Bai Daqi didn’t manage to get up from the ground until the women and Zhu Tao had left. Once they stood up, they looked at each other, their hearts wrenching painfully; never had they imagined that their once influential lives would meet such a downfall.

"Dad, did... did you see that? The look in Qian Duoduo’s eyes as she left..."

Bai Daqi looked at his father, at a loss for words, merely recalling the murderous intention in Qian Duoduo’s eyes when she left, which sent chills down his spine. He knew that Qian Duoduo wouldn’t let them off easily, but he hadn’t expected her to be deadly serious. He had thought, at most, she might break his legs but never take their lives; however, now he believed she genuinely wanted them dead.

"You good-for-nothing, now you see what fear feels like, what were you doing earlier?" he berated. "If you hadn’t provoked those women today, would we be in this situation? I told you not to cause trouble all the time, but you never listened. Now you’ve ruined our family entirely. I really don’t know why I ended up with such a beast for a son," Bai Wanli burst out furiously after hearing his son’s words, blaming him squarely for their plight. White Bailong Real Estate was gone in the blink of an eye, and even Wang Pu couldn’t help. After today, the banks would reclaim everything they owned, all thanks to his son’s reckless actions, which infuriated Bai Wanli even more.

Growing more furious, Bai Wanli, without a second word, slapped Bai Daqi across the face, causing him to stagger and nearly fall to the ground, clearly displaying his immense frustration and anger toward his son.

"Dad... Dad, hitting me now... now won’t change anything. Things... things have come to this," said Bai Daqi, stammering as blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. "Shouldn’t we run... run away while the bank... the bank hasn’t seized our assets yet? We might still be able to take some valuables and leave, otherwise... otherwise if we delay, we... we will truly be left with nothing."

Bai Daqi was very aware of his father’s raging anger and knew that everything had turned out this way because of him. His father hitting him was entirely justified, as he had effectively destroyed their entire household.

But then, Bai Daqi thought of escaping, adamant about not wanting to die in Tianhai, especially with the terrifying look Qian Duoduo had given upon leaving. He realized if they went home now, they might still be able to take some valuables with them. If they didn’t act soon, once the bank came knocking, they would end up absolutely destitute.

"Idiot, that’s... that’s the only sensible thing you’ve said; now go, let’s get in the car and head home," Bai Wanli suddenly snapped back to reality upon hearing his son’s words, realizing that arguing here wasted precious time. The priority was to quickly leave, go home, grab their valuables, and make a runaway plan—his son reminded him of the dozens of kilograms of gold saved precisely for such an emergency. If the bank took that as well, he’d be ruined. With that thought, Bai Wanli hurried his son to leave and quickly drive home.

Moreover, the most important thing was that he was afraid in his heart. He was afraid of the look in Qian Duoduo’s eyes when she left. He had lived for so many years, and if he couldn’t even see that, then half of his life had been lived in vain. Now, nothing was more important than saving his life. As long as he saved his life, everything else could be discussed. If worst came to worst, he could start over.

The two of them quickly left the place and drove back home. Without a word, they started loading the car with everything they could—gold bricks, cash, antiques—the more they could carry, the better. Afterwards, they pulled their family into the car and drove off, heading south towards Tianhai. They didn’t have a specific destination in mind; they only knew they needed to get away from Tianhai, the faster and farther, the better!

However, as good as their plan was, they did indeed leave Tianhai. But what happened afterward, they couldn’t understand even if they turned into ghosts...

A few hours later, the news suddenly broadcasted breaking news. Two luxury private cars had collided with a heavy truck on the highway, instantly killing all four people inside the luxury cars. Dozens of kilograms of gold, countless cash, and some precious antiques were scattered around the scene. Upon verification, all these people were from Tianhai, members of a family, including the male owner, the chairman of Bailong Real Estate, Bai Wanli...

A few days later, the long-planned wedding of Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er finally arrived. After these days of preparation, the wedding arrangements were now all set, just waiting for the ceremony to start.

The wedding venue was chosen at a golf course not far from Lin Feng’s home, because both families knew the scale of the event would be substantial. An ordinary hotel in Tianhai simply couldn’t accommodate so many tables, so they had to choose an open and spacious outdoor area, and the golf course fit the bill perfectly with its vast tens of thousands of square meters of lush lawns and lovely surrounding scenery—it was the best place for a wedding.

After days of intense preparation, the golf course had undergone a complete transformation. The once-green lawns were now entirely covered with red carpets, transforming it into a red sea. Moreover, many bamboo poles were erected around the wedding site with red "happiness" lanterns hanging high, making the site festive and bringing joy to everyone who saw it.

Over two hundred tables were arranged on either side, one half for the guests of Ding Wan’er and the other half for those invited by Lin Feng, with an aisle left in the middle specifically for the bride and groom to use during the ceremony. The tables were all uniform solid wood and, to add to the festive atmosphere, the tablecloths were also all bright red, already set with cigarettes, dry fruits, and candies for the guests. Everything was ready.

In the very north of the banquet area, a stage for the wedding rituals was specially set up, furnished according to ancient customs with spiritual tablets of heaven and earth, offerings, and two large red candles with dragons and phoenixes carved into them, firmly established on the candle holders. Two grand armchairs were placed on either side of the stage for the parents of both families to sit, and the stage was slightly elevated, about one meter above the ground so that every corner of the wedding venue had a clear view of everything happening on the stage.

Behind the stage, several resting rooms and changing rooms had been set up, for Ding Wan’er and the women to do their makeup and change clothes. Since the wedding venue was outdoors rather than indoors, many aspects had to be prepared in advance.

In the northwest corner of the wedding site, three huge tents were lined up that were all the kitchens of various hotels booked beforehand—kitchen utensils and all were ready. All sorts of ingredients were locked inside several refrigerated trucks parked nearby. Hundreds of chefs were ready to start cooking at any moment. For this wedding, these three hotels had virtually put forth their entire staff and even enlisted many famous chefs to help, as per Lin Yiwen’s request.

Around the site, many media journalists had taken places. On top of their interview vans, all sorts of cameras and equipment were set up, all ready to capture firsthand news from the wedding. Given the scale and grandeur, this wedding was bound to cause a sensation in Tianhai, being incredibly rare in both scope and level. The preliminary guest list they had gathered included notable figures from Tianhai, and given how grand the scene was now, it was imaginable that this wedding could become Tianhai’s number one wedding; these media people wouldn’t let this opportunity slip by.

In short, the scale of this wedding was immensely grand. Although the wedding had not yet started, the things already revealed were enough to be shocking. Such a grand wedding had a significant impact on Tianhai; even ordinary people knew about this wedding, and the talk of the streets was about how stunning it would be. This wedding was destined to create a sensation in Tianhai and attract everyone’s attention.

Similarly, those in Tianhai who received the invitation were extremely pleased. Being a well-known scholar in Tianhai, Ding Yi had a wide circle of friends and many disciples. With Ding Wan’er getting married, they would all certainly attend—they couldn’t miss such a grand ceremony. Everybody was overjoyed, and in the days before the wedding, they had all taken time out to buy gifts, showing how much they valued this wedding...
