Chapter 887: Go Shopping
Chapter 887: Go Shopping
The morning glow of dawn appeared, and Lin Feng, having been busy all night, had printed out the design plans. He then went to help his parents prepare breakfast. Shortly after, the family sat at the dining table and began to chat.
"Mom and Dad, these are the design plans. Take a look, and tell me if there’s anything you don’t like," Lin Feng said as he handed out six sets of plans to his parents, wanting them to take a look first and offer any suggestions.
"Son, I never imagined you could do this too. These designs are so beautiful; I like them all," Zhang Lan said as she looked at the three design plans in her hands. Each one had a different style, but they all shared one thing in common—they were truly beautiful. Although surprised that her son could handle such tasks, Zhang Lan had come to expect it, already used to her son being capable of doing anything. If he couldn’t, that would actually be strange.
"Yes, Son. Your mother and I share the same opinion. We like them very much. All these plans are good; you don’t need to discard any. Just take them to Wan’er and see which one she picks. Bring back the chosen plan, and I’ll take care of the rest," Lin Yiwen said with a smile, equally pleased with the designs his son had created. They were truly beautiful, and regardless of which one they used, the villa would look amazing. So, there was no need to find faults. His son could simply take them to Ding Wan’er.
"Alright then, that’s settled," Lin Feng said, seeing how much his parents liked the designs, and decided there was no need to discuss further. He would just take them to Ding Wan’er.
The three of them finished their meal quickly. Lin Yiwen took a day off from work because of the renovation, while Zhang Lan went to work alone. Seeing it was about time, Lin Feng also got up and headed to Ding Wan’er’s place. There, Ding Wan’er liked all six renovation proposals but struggled to decide. Eventually, she chose a Mediterranean style for its fresh, clean, and bright appeal. Lin Feng agreed and after dropping Ding Wan’er off at school, he drove back home and proceeded to work on the renovation with his father...
Meanwhile, Ding Wan’er returned to her school and the first thing she did was gather several vice-principals for a brief meeting. It was simple; Ding Wan’er was getting married and directly informed them, hoping they could take on more work as she would be very busy in the coming period. The vice-principals happily agreed to her request and encouraged her to focus on planning her wedding.
After the vice-principals left, Ding Wan’er sat behind her desk and pondered before deciding to call Sister Leng, just as Lin Feng had suggested the night before, hoping Sister Leng could accompany her on shopping trips and offer advice.
"Sister Leng, I’ve generally only focused on work before. This time I really need your help. Look at this list; I can’t handle it all by myself. You need to accompany me shopping," Ding Wan’er approached Sister Leng, who had just arrived, and held her hand as she spoke, expressing her earnest desire for company, dreading the thought of managing everything alone.
"Why don’t you let Lin Feng accompany you?" Sister Leng suggested after seeing the list in Ding Wan’er’s hand and immediately shook her head, not particularly fond of shopping herself and believing such a daunting task was better suited for Lin Feng.
"Sister Leng, you know Lin Feng is always so busy..." Ding Wan’er said, immediately realizing that Sister Leng did not intend to shop with her, which made her feel quite disappointed. She genuinely wanted someone to accompany her and offer advice. Although Lin Feng was an option, everyone knew how busy he was, and she did not want to disturb him, which is why she had approached Sister Leng as Lin Feng had advised.
"Wan’er, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but you know I’m almost always working too. Unless necessary, I avoid shopping, so it’s really something I’m not good at. How about this, let me give you a suggestion?" Sister Leng saw Ding Wan’er looking slightly dejected, patted her shoulder, explained her refusal, and seriously thought of a good idea.
"Oh? Sister Leng, what’s the good idea?" Ding Wan’er understood Sister Leng’s position, acknowledging that both of them were similar workaholics who were not adept at such tasks. Now curious, she wondered what good idea Sister Leng could suggest.
"It’s simple. Have you considered Yuegang? You should go there—it’s known as a shopping paradise. Moreover, Shen Yao is there, and with her help, things would definitely go smoothly for you. As for the school matters, you can leave them to me. Shopping isn’t my forte, but I can certainly handle overseeing things here. What do you think?"
Leng Mei straightforwardly expressed her idea, which was actually a very good one. Shen Yao was born and raised in Yuegang and was undoubtedly very familiar with these matters, so having Shen Yao accompany Wan’er shopping would solve everything—they could buy everything they needed in one trip to Yuegang; this approach would yield the best results.
"Yeah, I know what to do now, Sister Leng. I’ll leave the house matters to you; I’m going to ask Lin Feng right now." When Ding Wan’er heard Leng Mei’s suggestion, she immediately felt it was a fantastic idea. The thought of having Shen Yao help her shop in Yuegang was just perfect. Overjoyed, she spoke briefly to Leng Mei, then picked up her phone and dialed Lin Feng’s number.
"Wan’er, what’s up?" Lin Feng was at home discussing renovations with his father when he suddenly received Ding Wan’er’s call. He was puzzled—he had just dropped her off at school, so why was she calling him again? Was there something wrong?
"Lin Feng, Sister Leng gave me a great idea. She suggested I go shopping in Yuegang. Sister Leng isn’t much for shopping, but Shen Yao really is. If I have Shen Yao as my adviser in Yuegang, things will definitely go well; don’t you think?" Ding Wan’er immediately explained the situation to Lin Feng. She was eager to visit Yuegang and she liked Shen Yao very much—their relationship was quite good. Shen Yao would definitely help with this.
"That’s actually a good idea; I’ll contact Shen Yao right away." Lin Feng, hearing Ding Wan’er’s words, naturally agreed. Indeed, as Ding Wan’er had said, Yuegang was known as a shopping paradise. Allowing Wan’er to spend a few days there shopping was a great idea, so he readily agreed.
After hanging up, he immediately got in touch with Shen Yao. Upon hearing that Ding Wan’er was coming to Yuegang to shop, Shen Yao was overjoyed and decided to dispatch the Ocean Number to pick up Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er. Lin Feng thought it over briefly; he did not want to make such a fuss and declined Shen Yao’s kind offer, telling her it wasn’t worth dispatching the Ocean Number just for the two of them. He told her that he and Wan’er would definitely be in Yuegang that night, and they could coordinate then.
Shen Yao did not insist further and was very happy on the phone, hastily saying she would take good care of them when they arrived and would accompany them around.
After notifying Shen Yao, he hung up and relayed the news to Ding Wan’er and his father. His father also strongly approved of buying things in Yuegang. Firstly, the new house couldn’t possibly be renovated quickly; secondly, he wanted his son and Ding Wan’er to get out and about. Moreover, with Yuegang being renowned as a shopping paradise, they would surely find items to their liking, which was the most important thing.
Time quickly went by; Lin Feng and his father discussed some specific details, and afterwards, Lin Yiwen went out to look for top-tier renovation companies. Lin Feng, finding no further matters at hand, also returned to school to check around, though it would be a few days before he could return. Upon reaching school, Lin Feng suddenly felt sentimental—it seemed he wasn’t quite fit to be a teacher, considering he could only manage one third of his classes. However, it couldn’t be helped. Without interrupting Ding Wan’er’s work, he just went to the French department for a visit.
In the afternoon, having arranged everything necessary, Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er left school together and headed to the airport...
...
Max Dorrell had just woken up not long before, after drinking quite a lot with Young Master Wang the previous day, causing his head to ache tremendously. After a quick wash-up and realizing it was already eight or nine o’clock, he grabbed some breakfast and was preparing to go to the office when he suddenly received a phone call.
"Hello, Jack, what’s up?" Max Dorrell answered the call and immediately inquired. Jack wouldn’t call him unless it was something very important, and he needed to know what was happening.
"Boss, I have some really bad news. Yesterday, according to your instructions, I sent people to follow the Shen family members in Yuegang to find the whereabouts of Dark Demons, but just now, I got a call from my subordinate. Lin Feng and Ding Wan’er have arrived in Yuegang, and they were personally picked up by Shen Yao and Shen Tian at the airport. If I’m not mistaken, Lin Feng must have an unusual relationship with the Shen family. More importantly, my subordinate noticed that the relationship between Shen Yao and Lin Feng seemed similar to that of lovers, and suspects that Shen Yao might be one of Lin Feng’s women. What do you think about this..."
Jack had acted on his boss’s orders yesterday, arranging for people to keep an eye on the Shen family members to trace the whereabouts of the God of Night Assassins. However, he had not expected that early in the morning, he would receive his subordinate’s report saying Lin Feng had gone to Yuegang and that his relationship with the Shen family was definitely not ordinary. Hearing this news, Jack was startled, breaking out in a cold sweat. Others might not know the specifics, but he was very aware of how formidable Lin Feng was. How had Lin Feng come to be associated with the people of the Shen family? What should he do now?
