Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 536: Zeng Xiaolong is Here!

Chapter 536: Zeng Xiaolong is Here!

"It’s okay, I have a way, we’ll continue with the original plan and get Lin Feng drunk, then head to the restroom," Yuan Kun said, making his way to the restroom with determination to help Leng Hao.

Leng Hao didn’t say anything and followed Yuan Kun. The two of them entered the restroom and, under the direction of his senior brother, moved into a stall. Yuan Kun quickly pressed several acupoints on Leng Hao’s body.

Leng Hao felt a twinge of pain but knew it was his senior brother helping him. He didn’t resist at all, and soon, to his astonishment, he discovered that his drunkenness had vanished as if he had never drunk any alcohol. How... how did this happen?

"I just helped you force out some of the alcohol. Here, take this pill," Yuan Kun said calmly, "once you’ve taken it, you won’t get drunk." He then took out a pill from his pocket and handed it to Leng Hao.

"Thank you, Senior Brother," Leng Hao finally understood what had just happened. So, it was his senior brother helping him to expel the effects of the alcohol. With this pill in hand, what did he have to fear about not being able to outdrink Lin Feng! Thinking this, Leng Hao didn’t hesitate to chew and swallow the pill immediately, his confidence surged with the thought of getting Lin Feng drunk and embarrassing him in front of his sister.

"You don’t need to thank me. We are just trying to reveal Lin Feng’s true face for your sister’s sake," Yuan Kun said, shaking his head righteously, but inwardly he was hoping that Leng Hao would quickly get Lin Feng drunk so the real show could start.

"All right, you go back first. I need to use the toilet and I’ll be right back," Yuan Kun indicated Leng Hao to go ahead and continue the drinking contest with Lin Feng after he finished the pill.

"Okay, I’ll go back first, Senior Brother." Leng Hao was now incredibly excited, because the thought of definitely knocking Lin Feng down strengthened his spirits. As long as Lin Feng got drunk and made a fool of himself, the goal for the evening would be achieved. With this thought, Leng Hao’s step quickened, and he quickly left the restroom.

After Leng Hao left, Yuan Kun took out his mobile phone, thought for a moment, then sent a text message. Once he finished everything, he put his phone away, washed his hands, and looked at himself in the mirror. A cold smile appeared on his face, anticipating the dramatic events to come. The smile vanished as quickly as it appeared, and his friendly demeanor returned as he dried his hands and left the restroom.

"Brother Lin, sorry to keep you waiting, let’s keep drinking, cheers!"

"Brother Lin, when I visit Tianhai one day, you have to treat me to drinks, cheers!"

"Brother Lin, good things come in pairs, cheers!"

"Drinking is so much fun, come on, let’s have another toast to keep the momentum going, cheers!"

...

As soon as Leng Hao returned, he resumed the drinking contest with Lin Feng, with the sole purpose of knocking Lin Feng out. What Leng Hao didn’t expect was how effective the pill his senior brother had given him was. Drinking alcohol was like drinking water, without the slightest hint of intoxication. What kind of pill was this? It was miraculous! However, his amazement was short-lived and he unapologetically resumed the drink-for-drink challenge with Lin Feng.

Leng Mei noticed that when Leng Hao came back, he became even more intense in outdrinking Lin Feng, causing her to frown. She could tell that her brother was behaving abnormally and was intent on getting Lin Feng drunk. This realization made Leng Mei anxious to intervene, but just then Lin Feng suddenly took her hand and signaled her to not act rashly. Leng Mei held back again since Lin Feng did not want her to intervene, yet she couldn’t help feeling incredibly anxious, regretting bringing Lin Feng with her...

When Yuan Kun returned, he still carried himself with grace and poise, occasionally drinking with Leng Mei and occasionally serving her and Lin Feng food, managing to appear very composed.

Lin Feng was still accepting all comers, and whenever Leng Mei wanted to intervene, he immediately stopped her. He was very interested in finding out the reason behind Leng Hao’s abnormal behavior that evening.

One bottle, two bottles, three bottles, four bottles...

Unbeknownst to them, there were already about thirty empty liquor bottles piled up in the corner of the room! During the evening, Leng Hao had gone to the restroom twice, and Lin Feng once, simply because they had drunk too much and their stomachs could hold no more.

Lin Feng finally realized there was a problem. Leng Hao’s behavior that evening was definitely not normal. No one could drink so much on their own; after all, that was more than a dozen bottles of strong liquor. Normally, it would be impossible for anyone to have such an extraordinary alcohol tolerance. So, what was going on?

Lin Feng also remembered that after Leng Hao’s first trip to the restroom, he had already been quite drunk. How could he continue to drink so much upon returning? With this thought, Lin Feng carefully observed Leng Hao and noticed something off. Although Leng Hao’s face was flushed, it had hints of an unhealthy pale green, indicating that he must have taken some sort of super-effective hangover remedy; otherwise, his complexion wouldn’t look like that.

But who had given him the drug? This question arose again in Lin Feng’s mind. Suddenly, he recalled that Yuan Kun had accompanied Leng Hao to the restroom on that first occasion. Could it have been Yuan Kun?

No, there was something wrong with this Yuan Kun.

Yuan Kun’s behavior that day was very suspicious. As Leng Hao’s senior, it was impossible for him to sit so calmly and watch Leng Hao drink. Despite appearing normal on the surface, Lin Feng couldn’t shake the feeling that Yuan Kun was up to something. The more composed Yuan Kun acted, the more Lin Feng felt something was wrong. Such behavior from a stranger might be normal, but given Yuan Kun’s relationship with Leng Hao that day, his actions were inappropriate. As Leng Hao’s elder brother in the fraternity, he shouldn’t have reacted like this.

So, it was no surprise that Yuan Kun must have given Leng Hao some sort of hangover remedy during their first trip to the restroom. Otherwise, no normal person could possibly drink so much water, let alone alcohol!

Having come to this conclusion, Lin Feng finally understood that the real schemer that evening was Yuan Kun. Everything that had happened had been facilitated by Yuan Kun in the shadows. No wonder Leng Hao was behaving in such a manner; it all must have been orchestrated by Yuan Kun. Lin Feng was now very curious as to what Yuan Kun was planning, but without solid proof, it wasn’t a good time to confront him. The only option was to wait and see what Yuan Kun was up to.

Leng Mei watched Lin Feng and her brother drink bottle after bottle of white liquor as if it were water, each having consumed over a dozen bottles in astonishment. She knew her brother could drink, but even he couldn’t possibly consume that many bottles by himself. This was not something a normal person could do. What on earth was going on with her brother?

Multiple times she tried to stand, only to be pulled back down by Lin Feng. Leng Mei was now extremely anxious. If they continued to drink like this, both her brother and Lin Feng could be in danger. But with Lin Feng holding her back, she felt powerless and could only watch on with deep concern.

As Leng Hao and Lin Feng continued their drinking contest, someone suddenly burst through the door.

"Hey there, little Hao, you’re here drinking? And look, your wife is here too, how nice! I haven’t eaten yet either, let’s eat together! Little Hao, why don’t you call me brother-in-law, haha!"

A young man walked through the door, tall and thin as a rail with hair dyed purple-red. Despite wearing designer suits, he couldn’t hide the aura of decadence about him. He was quite good-looking but the sickly pallor of his face was a clear sign of an unhealthy lifestyle, one of excess and indulgence. Moreover, he had an air of arrogance, as if desperate for everyone to know he was a dangerous man.

This man was Zeng Xiaolong, the eldest son of the Zeng Family from Capital City. The Zeng Family, a peculiar clan with no significant officials, nonetheless wielded enormous influence. They held a dominant position in Capital City’s underworld, and the government seemed to turn a blind eye to it. This was not possible without deep connections.

But the most crucial point was the Zeng Family’s network. Over several decades, they had maintained excellent relations with every family in Capital City and had intermarried with many of them. A unique family, indeed, the Zeng Clan was one of the top families in the Capital, perhaps not as prominent as the Leng or Meng Families but not far behind. There even was a saying in Capital City, "Better to offend Yama than the Zeng Family," illustrating their notoriety.

"Zeng Xiaolong, shut your damn mouth. Have you forgotten how I dealt with you back then? Looking to get beat up again?" Upon seeing Zeng Xiaolong come in, Leng Hao slammed his cup onto the table, immediately infuriated and yelled at Zeng Xiaolong, bringing up past conflicts. If Zeng Xiaolong hadn’t been from the Zeng Family, Leng Hao would have killed the bastard long ago, not allowing him to continue his misdeeds.

A few years earlier, Zeng Xiaolong hadn’t been as arrogant as he was now, at least not outwardly. He had been studying abroad, and upon his return to Capital City, by chance, he saw Leng Mei and was instantly captivated by her aloof charm. After his advances were repeatedly rebuffed, he resorted to having his family visit the Lengs to ask for her hand in marriage.

At the time, Leng Mei was at her most beautiful and had no boyfriend, so the Lengs, rather than agreeing outright, said they would consider it. Indeed, even the Leng Family was somewhat tempted by the Zengs, given that their decades of maneuvering had tied many other families in Capital City to their fate. The power they wielded was not to be underestimated, and they were cautious about this sudden marriage proposal from Zeng Xiaolong, a man they hardly knew.
