Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 306: Off to Africa!

Chapter 306: Off to Africa!

"Okay, I’ll make the arrangements right away," Zhou Yang once again sensed from Lin Feng’s voice that he was in a very, very urgent need to go to Africa. Given that situation, it was still best to first take care of the matters Lin Feng mentioned. Once Lin Feng returned, then they could slowly figure out what had happened. Lin Feng’s sudden trip abroad was truly too abrupt, and without Lin Feng, he himself would never have been able to assume the position of Chief of Tianhai Police Bureau. Therefore, no matter what, he had to help him handle everything well, putting in his greatest effort to help Lin Feng.

With this in mind, Zhou Yang immediately hung up the phone and used his pager to summon his secretary, Xiao Li, into the office.

"Xiao Li, do you still have Lin Feng’s documents from last time?" As soon as Zhou Yang saw Xiao Li come in, he immediately asked.

"Yes, they’re all here. Director, what do you need me to do?" Xiao Li felt quite perplexed; today the Director seemed a bit off. Why did he start asking about Lin Feng’s matter so urgently the moment he entered the office? Normally, the Director didn’t speak like this. Could something have happened to Lin Feng?

"Lin Feng is about to head to Hong Kong, then transfer to Kenya in Africa. I need you to prepare a set of related credentials for him immediately and deliver them to the airport right away. Any questions?" Zhou Yang knew the police bureau had a set of the highest-level international police credentials, but he himself was still not clear on the approval procedures, so he asked Xiao Li.

"Director, if it’s that urgent, then we can only use the bureau’s spare set of international police credentials. However, that item requires reporting to the International Criminal Police Organization for the record," Xiao Li explained the situation clearly to Zhou Yang. But from the Director’s words, it really felt strange—why did Lin Feng need to go to Africa, and why so urgently? The implication was that the sooner, the better. In such a scenario, only the spare set of international police credentials could be used since there simply wasn’t enough time to process any other kind of passport.

"Okay, fill out Lin Feng’s information first. After that’s done, take my car and deliver it to the airport as fast as you can. Here’s Lin Feng’s phone number. Once you arrive, hand the credentials directly to him, and you can come back. The matter of reporting to the international police can be discussed slowly when you return." Zhou Yang decided to let Lin Feng use the set of international police credentials. With those credentials, Lin Feng would find it much more convenient to handle things abroad, and that was as much help as he could offer.

"Understood, I will handle it right now." Xiao Li left the Director’s office and quickly made his way to the secretarial office to process the related credentials for Lin Feng, his mind completely filled with surprise about this Lin Feng. Who exactly was Lin Feng for the Director to value him so highly? Processing credentials for the trip to Yuegang last time was already quite something, but this was even more extreme, using the bureau’s only set of international police credentials for him. Everyone in the bureau knew the Director as a stern and upright official. They had never seen the Director do something like this for anyone before. It was clear that Lin Feng was no ordinary person!

...

Hearing the dial tone on the phone, Lin Feng knew that Zhou Yang must have gone to arrange the related matters. He now needed to quickly head to the airport too. With this thought, he swiftly walked out of the department, completely ignoring Wang Xiaomao and Liu Lei.

What... What? Brother Lin is going to Africa! Upon hearing that Lin Feng was heading to Africa, Wang Xiaomao simply couldn’t believe his ears. What was up with Brother Lin today? Out of nowhere, he had stormed into the department, knocked Zhao Jian unconscious with a kick, and then made a phone call about flying to Kenya in Africa. The turn of events was too drastic. What on earth had happened that required Brother Lin to rush off to Africa? Moreover, it seemed that he was in a great hurry. This was all just too bizarre...

Liu Lei, watching Lin Feng disappear through the doorway, also found it unfathomable. Going to Africa? What would he do there? Everyone knew that Africa was a place with hardly anything to offer. Why did he abruptly need to go to Africa? This situation truly defied all logic. And it looked like Lin Feng was going to the airport right away. What could have happened that was so urgent?

The call he had made was with someone quite important, although not much detail was shared. In Tianhai, the only Director Zhou who could handle passport affairs was the Police Chief Zhou Yang, who had just taken office before the New Year. From the tone Lin Feng had used on the call with Zhou Yang, it seemed like their relationship was not just a simple one. He had seen on TV that the Police Chief was a man of integrity. For Lin Feng to have such a good relationship with Director Zhou, it seemed he should try to get closer to Lin Feng in the future...

While Wang Xiaomao and Liu Lei were still lost in wild thoughts, Lin Feng was already driving towards Tianhai Airport.

After much thought, Lin Feng decided to give Shen Yao a call, asking her to help arrange a flight ticket to Africa. There really was no time to waste now; he needed to get to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, as fast as possible, to find his senior sister. In Yuegang, Shen Yao was the only one who could help him.

"Hello, Feng, I’m so happy you called me," Shen Yao hadn’t heard Lin Feng’s voice for several days. She had just finished class in the morning and was preparing to head home when she received Lin Feng’s call. She was genuinely delighted. Truly, there was not a moment when she wasn’t thinking about Lin Feng.

"Yaoyao, help me with something, book me a ticket to Africa as soon as possible!" Lin Feng stated his purpose directly. When with Shen Yao, he had no need to hold back anything.

"What? You’re going to Africa? What are you going to do there?" Shen Yao was utterly astonished to hear Lin Feng mention Africa. She couldn’t imagine why Lin Feng would suddenly want to go to Africa. What could he possibly be doing there? It was genuinely strange, and his urgency indicated he was in a rush to get to Africa, but why?

"I can’t explain too much now, I’m going to save someone. My senior sister is in danger over there." Lin Feng knew Shen Yao would definitely find it strange that he suddenly needed to go to Africa, so he explained his reasons straightaway. This would prevent her from overthinking, and besides, there was no need to keep his senior sister’s situation a secret from Shen Yao.

"Alright, I’ll get on it now. When will you be in Yuegang?" Once Shen Yao heard that Lin Feng was on a rescue mission, she stopped questioning him. Plus, hearing that it was to save his senior sister made it all the more critical to handle the matter efficiently. She needed to find a way to get Lin Feng to Africa as quickly as possible. As for why Lin Feng would have a senior sister, Shen Yao wasn’t surprised at all. It would be strange if someone as extraordinary as Lin Feng didn’t have a master and fellow disciples. She had simply never asked him outright, trusting that if Lin Feng thought she needed to know, he would tell her.

"I’m on my way to the airport now, and if there are no delays, I should make it to Yuegang by around three o’clock in the afternoon," Lin Feng said as he checked the time. He should be able to catch the nearest flight to Yuegang and reach Yuegang International Airport by three o’clock.

"Okay, Feng, that’s settled then. I’ll quickly arrange the flight for you. Don’t worry about it," said Shen Yao. Hearing the urgency in Lin Feng’s voice to get to Yuegang, she knew his senior sister must be in grave danger. Otherwise, Lin Feng wouldn’t be like this. He had never been this way in her memory. Since this was the case, she needed to do everything possible to help Lin Feng get on the earliest flight to Africa.

"Great, I’ll see you at Yuegang International Airport then. Oh, and prepare a phone and a satellite phone for me. I’ll need them. I have to go now; there are a few more calls I need to make to arrange things." After making sure the flight was arranged, Lin Feng felt relieved. He needed to think about his trip abroad, as he didn’t know when he’d be back. He had to inform Ding Wan’er, Leng Mei, and his parents; otherwise, his sudden disappearance would be hard to explain.

"Okay, we’ll talk more when you get to Yuegang. I’m going to take care of the flight now," Shen Yao also understood that Lin Feng might be away for a while, and that many people, especially Lin Feng’s parents, needed to be informed.

"Goodbye, we’ll talk later." Lin Feng hung up and dialed Ding Wan’er’s number.

"I’m going abroad for a few days. Just letting you know," Lin Feng said. He didn’t want to disclose too much to Ding Wan’er, just enough to inform her he would be out of the country, thus avoiding unnecessary complications.

"When are you leaving, and for how long?" Ding Wan’er was already surprised to receive a call from Lin Feng, as he had never called her before. His sudden call today was even more baffling for her. Upon hearing what he had to say, she was even more puzzled. Why had Lin Feng suddenly decided to go abroad? She hadn’t heard him mention this at all recently. What was going on?

"I’m heading to the airport now, and I’m not sure how long I’ll be away. You’ll need to drive home tonight," Lin Feng said directly, implying that no one would be able to pick up and drop off Ding Wan’er at work during his absence. And since the car had been fixed last year and had been left with Ding Wan’er, she would have to take care of herself.

"Alright, I understand. Anything else?" Ding Wan’er, realizing Lin Feng was rushing to the airport, knew something serious must have happened, for Lin Feng was never this stressed about anything. Since he wasn’t telling her the details, it meant he couldn’t share more at the moment. She would wait until he was ready to inform her, rather than asking irrelevant questions now.

"There’s nothing else," Lin Feng thought for a moment before answering Ding Wan’er’s question.

"Okay, take care on your way," Ding Wan’er said before hanging up. Then her mind suddenly shifted to another possibility. Could there be trouble on Shen Yao’s end that required Lin Feng’s attention? Other than Shen Yao, Lin Feng didn’t seem to have any other overseas connections. But that seemed unlikely; with Shen Yao’s background, how could there be a problem that only Lin Feng could solve? That was simply impossible!
