Chapter 1581 - 1572: Idiot!
"This... Teacher Lin, we... we agree to let you in, but as for outside this..."
After weighing his options, Zhou He said cautiously to Lin Feng. He had no choice but to agree because of the support Lin Feng had from the students. To prevent any incidents, he could only allow Lin Feng inside. As for the embassy’s stance, he no longer considered it. In such a situation, no one could balance things.
Lin Feng nodded at Zhou He’s words, not making things difficult for him, and turned to the students in the square, loudly saying, "You all go back to school. I’ll handle things here."
The words were simple, but it depended on who said them. Among the students, everyone knew what kind of person Lin Feng was, so they obediently followed his instructions and returned to school. They did not doubt Lin Feng’s words. If anyone else had said it, they wouldn’t have believed it, but since Lin said it, they absolutely trusted that Lin Feng wouldn’t let the culprit go unpunished, not for any other reason, just because it was Lin Feng. It was that simple!
Watching the students slowly disperse from the square, Zhou He breathed a sigh of relief. The pressure from those students was immense. Fortunately, Lin Feng’s prestige among them was beyond imagination; otherwise, getting them to leave the square would not have been easy. This was already the best possible outcome, and he was truly relieved.
At this moment, Lin Feng gave Ding Wan’er a look and used his Divine Sense to arrange the tasks for her afterwards. With Wan’er overseeing things outside, he had no worries.
"Mr. Lin, please."
Zhou He courteously led the way for Lin Feng, who didn’t stand on ceremony and walked straight towards the detention room, leaving Zhou He bewildered. He wondered how Lin Feng knew that Li Jingpu was in the detention room. What he didn’t know was that Lin Feng had already scanned the entire police station using his Divine Sense, finding no trace of the person he sought on the upper floors. The only notable area was the detention room on the first floor, so Lin headed there directly.
In no time, they were about to reach the detention room. Suddenly, Zhou He hesitated and said to Lin Feng, "Mr. Lin, it’s not easy for us either. Please, try not to take any lives, or else we really won’t be able to explain ourselves."
In truth, as he said this, he was very anxious inside. He was all too aware of what kind of person Lin Feng was. If Lin wanted to kill someone, no one here could stop him, and even if he did, it wouldn’t matter much to him. But it wasn’t the same for them. If Lin committed murder here, they would surely be the scapegoats, and he truly didn’t want any irreversible incidents to occur.
Lin Feng glanced at Zhou He and merely nodded without saying a word.
Seeing Lin Feng nod in agreement, Zhou He finally breathed a sigh of relief. Based on his understanding of Lin Feng, this response meant there was nothing to worry about; at least there was still room to reconcile the situation. He felt much more at ease.
In a blink of an eye, the group entered the detention room’s doorway. The room was neither big nor small, about forty to fifty square meters. Inside the two corners were two simple holding cells made of reinforced steel, roughly more than ten square meters each. At that moment, Li Jingpu was held in one cell, while Song Park Joon and two embassy officials sat on three chairs not far outside of it. Upon seeing the group enter, Song Park Joon and the others promptly stood up from their chairs.
"How can you let others in? Our people have diplomatic immunity. No outsiders can contact us. Don’t the police here know this? Get out, all of you, quickly! We don’t want to see anyone. We have already filed a formal protest. The Tianhai City Police Bureau must take responsibility for this whole affair!"
Seeing Lin Feng, Song Park Joon was filled with rage. The situation had escalated significantly, and he had communicated with higher-ups to prevent further deterioration. So when taking shelter in the detention room, he had already coordinated with the police, declaring that no one was allowed to enter the room. Yet, an outsider appeared, and if that person was a reporter or something, reporting on the situation, it would spiral out of control. How could he not be furious?
"Is this our place or theirs?"
Seeing the other side so arrogant, Lin Feng’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, and he asked bluntly. Watching this person be so cocky in a police station was really off-putting, suggesting these people were accustomed to flaunting their power. Others might think highly of them, but in his eyes, these people were nothing but clownish nobodies.
"This... of course, this is our place." Zhou He was momentarily at a loss for words upon hearing Lin Feng’s question. He didn’t have a good impression of these people either, but since they were from the embassy, there wasn’t much he could do. He, as the deputy director, still had no leverage over them.
"Our place and we let them block us like this?" Lin Feng’s tone now carried a hint of anger. An H Country embassy official coming to a Huaxia police station to bark out orders was utterly ridiculous.
"This... the situation is special, very special. Mr. Lin, please, calm down and don’t act rashly. We don’t want things to be this way, either..." Zhou He was startled upon hearing Lin Feng’s words, cold sweat immediately breaking out on his face. He was really panicking now. Judging by Lin Feng’s tone, he was already angry. Zhou He definitely did not want Lin Feng to kill someone in the police station, as the consequences would be dire. Therefore, his sole objective now was to persuade Lin Feng, to ensure he wouldn’t lose his temper here!
