Chapter 1403 1401: Taken Away
Chapter 1403 1401: Taken Away
"Lin Fan..."
"Lin Fan..."
"Lin Fan!"
The Divine Phoenix awoke in terror from the nightmare.
In the dream, she saw Lin Fan being torn apart bit by bit. But strangely, although Lin Fan turned into something like mincemeat, bloodied and blurry, she could still make out Lin Fan's outline.
Just as she was about to rescue Lin Fan, several fierce beasts suddenly leapt out from nowhere, ignoring her presence, and lunged directly at Lin Fan.
No matter how much she shouted or made noise, even using a stick to drive them away, those beasts ignored her as if they couldn't see her. Instantly, they tore Lin Fan's mincemeat-like body into pieces, each carrying a piece in their mouths, quickly running away.
The Divine Phoenix couldn't keep up with them, she could only sit on the ground and scream heartbreakingly.
However.
Fortunately, it was all just a dream.
The Divine Phoenix opened her eyes, gazing at the blood-red sky, the color somewhat similar to Lin Fan's blood, thick and crimson.
It was a dream...
She exhaled slowly, letting out a gentle sigh.
Just as she was about to close her eyes and rest a bit more.
Suddenly!
She abruptly realized something was wrong, the sky of Mystic Iron Mountain wasn't this blood-red color!
This place... is not Mystic Iron Mountain!
The Divine Phoenix was startled, jolting awake, immediately flipping up in alarm, looking around only to see a completely unfamiliar scene.
Guarding by her side was not Lin Fan, but Zhu Qilue and Zhu Ruoling.
"You're awake, that's great."
"Finally, you can walk on your own, I'm exhausted. I was already injured, yet I had to carry one and drag another, it's tiring me to death."
"Are you okay? I heard you kept calling... Lin Fan's name just now..."
"What could possibly be wrong? Look, her little cheeks are all flushed, maybe she had some pleasant dream, maybe she's even blaming you for waking her up."
Zhu Ruoling and Zhu Qilue spoke one after another, like a well-rehearsed duet, not noticing the furious expression on the Divine Phoenix's face.
Rumble!
The Divine Phoenix stomped her foot fiercely, immediately causing a whirlwind of flying sand and dust all around!
The black wings on her back suddenly unfolded, flapping violently, sending a fierce wind towards Zhu Qilue and Zhu Ruoling, almost making them take off into the sky.
"Ah!"
With a long howl from the Divine Phoenix, an unbelievably violent blast wave surged out from her body, pushing several hundreds of meters, like an explosive shockwave from a bomb, extremely terrifying.
"What's wrong with her?" Zhu Qilue muttered, holding his head, murmuring incessantly.
"Sister Divine Phoenix must be looking to trouble you," Zhu Ruoling said expressionlessly, looking at the penetrating eyes of the Divine Phoenix.
"Sister? Since when are you so familiar with her? Wait... she wants to trouble me?!"
Zhu Qilue was taken aback when he realized the oddity in those words, it was already too late.
He suddenly felt an overwhelming oppressive force hitting him directly.
If he wasn't injured, he could easily sense this power and evade it in an instant.
But now, gravely injured, he could hardly move. Bringing Zhu Ruoling and the Divine Phoenix out from the Fire Clan almost cost him his life.
He really couldn't walk anymore, so he found a secluded spot to stop.
At present.
They had already escaped the sight of others, fleeing from the Fire Clan. Yet strangely, there were no pursuers along the way, not knowing what Zhu Sui did to hold back the Scarlet Cloud Army.
Although they escaped, it didn't mean they were safe.
Not only could the Scarlet Cloud Army pursue them at any time, but the wilderness of the Five Elements Realm might also harbor many ferocious beasts, which could devour them in an instant, leaving no trace.
Moreover, they didn't even know where to go now, so they had to stop momentarily for some rest.
But even before they could rest properly, the Divine Phoenix suddenly wanted to attack him.
Truly ungrateful!
He risked his life to rescue her, and now she wants to kill him. What on earth is going on with this injustice?!
"What are you doing!"
Zhu Qilue just managed to shout a sentence.
Instantly!
The Divine Phoenix appeared in front of him, eyes glaring furiously, with a vicious look, snarling, and hopping mad.
"Why?"
"Why did you rescue me!"
"Where is Lin Fan? Where is Lin Fan?! I'm asking where Lin Fan is?!"
"I want to go back to find Lin Fan, no one is going to stop me!"
The Divine Phoenix's face was distorted, almost losing rationality. She barely remembered that before losing consciousness, she was still digging out a huge stone, and Lin Fan was buried behind it.
But somehow, it went black before her eyes, and when she awoke, she found herself here.
No doubt, this guy thought he was clever enough, thinking rescuing her would be enough!
But without Lin Fan, she'd rather die!
If Lin Fan was dead, she would definitely not continue to live dishonorably!
Even if saved, she would unwaveringly go to be with Lin Fan!
After a few roars and growls, the Divine Phoenix turned and headed back without looking back.
Zhu Qilue didn't try to stop her, how could he, injured as he was, stop an angry woman?
He only murmured: "Go ahead, no one's going to stop you. You think you can save Lin Fan if you go back? It's laughable, you're just going back to end up as Gong Wenya's appetizer."
"This is the Five Elements Realm, not your Sumeru Continent. No one's going to pamper your bad temper, and no one will treat you as somebody significant."
"You're just an ant, thinking you can move a mountain? If Lin Fan really is a prodigy, he sure will be able to escape, just like I don't believe Gong Wenya will die in a dungeon. You return, he escapes, it just reverses roles, how amusing."
He said with sarcasm, even though the words came out sounding despicable and quite unpleasant, giving off a mocking tone.
But despite the crudeness, there was some truth in them.
Zhu Qilue's words did make some sense. He firmly believed that Lin Fan was the prodigy that could save the Zhu family and the Fire Clan, so he believed Lin Fan wouldn't die so easily.
To be crushed to death by a rock, that doesn't count as a prodigy!
The person Zhu Qilue took a liking to must be as extraordinary as it gets, certainly not someone who would die in such a pitiful manner under a stone.
Zhu Ruoling initially wanted Zhu Qilue to say less, but after hearing these words, she thought they indeed made a bit of sense.
Looking at the Divine Phoenix again, she saw that the latter had also stopped in her tracks, although she didn't turn around, it seemed like she was hesitating.
"Sister Divine Phoenix, my brother is right, Lin Fan will surely be okay, you might not believe in yourself, but you should believe in him," Zhu Ruoling chimed in encouragingly.
The Divine Phoenix took a deep breath, coldly turning around.
"If Lin Fan dies, I'll be the first to kill you."
"Alright."
Zhu Qilue rolled his eyes, reluctantly shaking his head.
The Divine Phoenix returned and sat at a side angrily, asking coldly: "So what do we do next, where do we go? We can't stay in this place forever."
She glanced around, realizing it was just a small cave, no more than two meters deep, no more than two meters wide, so cramped that they could only half-crouch, barely able to stand, and could easily roll out when turning over.
Such a small place could temporarily shelter them from wind and rain, but trying to hide here indefinitely was clearly unrealistic.
However.
The Divine Phoenix's question stumped Zhu Qilue and Zhu Ruoling. Although both were people of the Five Elements Realm, they too had nowhere to go, and didn't know what to do next.
Except for Lin Fan, they couldn't think of anyone else who could help them.
A long sigh sounded within the cave, the atmosphere instantly turned gloomy, with no sound remaining.
