Evil Emperor: Vampyre Bloodline makes me OP

Chapter 63: Jack’s Plan

Chapter 63: Jack’s Plan

Jensen looked at the sleeping slaves as he considered ways to relieve them of the effects of the drugs, but he kept coming up short.

If he injected mana directly into their bodies, the mana-disrupting potion in them would disrupt the mana.

This was the same reason Heinz had just waited for the effect to wear off on its own and hadn’t used a mana replenishing potion to remove the effect.

’What about blood energy?’ Jensen thought. ’Since the potion is in the blood... if I pump blood energy into their blood, I should be able to remove the effect.’

Blood energy began to gather in his hand as he walked up to the first unawakened slave and pumped the blood energy directly into his body.

The body began to slowly bloat... Jensen grabbed the body and threw it up into the air just in time for the explosion to occur above him.

Everyone in the immediate vicinity was covered with blood, guts, and pieces of organs as red mist rained down.

Chunks of flesh slapped against the ground around Jensen, but he used his telekinesis to block the drops preventing his body from being covered in the nastiness.

He understood immediately what had happened.

The quality of his blood energy was too high for the unawakened.

These was the same reason Talia could not use a Grade 3 healing potion on Elda when a Grade 1 would not work.

The body could only take so much energy before reaching its limit so while a Grade 1 potion would be useful to an unawakened human, a Grade 3 would be fatal.

’Let’s see,’ he thought.

He began to reduce the quantity of energy he was emitting bringing it down to the bare minimum then he slowly injected it into the next victim.

This time, he was careful with the injection of energy.

He followed a similar pattern to regular blood cultivation, but instead of using it on his body but someone else’s.

Within a few minutes, he had cleared the entire drug from his blood.

He observed the effects of this new sub-skill and realized that the person was slowly stirring awake.

He moved to the next person, and he kept going until he was done.

When he finally finished, he programmed his thrall to follow Talia’s orders.

Then he picked up Elda and made his way back to the main camp.

He left Talia, Jim, Roden, and the thrall behind so they would find their way back tomorrow after taking care of everything there.

Once he was back in the camp, he laid Elda down in one of the new tents... He turned around and was about to walk out when he heard her speak.

"Ple... ase... do... n’t... le... ave... me... eeee." She begged through the pain.

Jensen looked at her for a few seconds... contemplating.

"I have somewhere to be," he said. "When you are done with your transformation, help Talia with their mission here."

Jensen did not know her backstory but from her begging and her reaction to him leaving, he could tell she had some... how do I put it...

’Abandonment issues.’

"My trip should not be too long... just a week or two max."

"But..." Elda tried to say something.

Jensen cut her off. "I am not leaving you... Just do what I said then you can spend as much time as you want following me around when I get back."

Elda nodded her head in agreement.

Jensen turned around and walked out of the tent. He went to the bike tent, grabbed one and began his journey back to Oakland Town.

Jack sat on a stool, surveying the other mercenaries as they had their breakfast.

He looked down at his food and agreed that one thing you could not complain about their employers was that they did indeed keep their word on treating them well.

But that did not mean he forgave them for humiliating him.

’Especially that bitch called Talia.’

The moment she snapped at him, humiliating him in front of his colleagues, everything changed.

Even now, as one of the strongest people sitting in the tent they had converted to a cafeteria, no one seemed to want to get too close or socialise with him.

Because they feared enraging the boss after he had tried to challenge her.

He began scanning the group again until his eyes finally settled on his target.

The old man was thin and unassuming in his late 50s.

From the way he moved and acter he had most likely awakened to the Body Path on speed branch.

And from the dagger Jack had occasionally seen with him, he was certain that he was an assassin.

Just like Jack, he was a loner but by choice and he had just the right skills to help with his plan.

Jack stood up, carried his tray and walked toward him.

Without asking for permission, he sat down next to him and smiled.

"Hello... My name is Jack and it is nice to finally speak to you." He paused. "What is your name?"

"Wolfe." The old man did not look up from his food as he answered him. "What do you want?"

"I just wanted to get to know that I love your style and..." Jack began but Wolfe cut him off.

"Get straight to the point or leave."

Jack stayed silent for a second.

He was already getting offended by the amount of disregard he was facing in this camp, but he reeled his anger in.

’I will deal with him when we are done.’ He promised himself before he got closer to Wolfe and lowered his voice to a whisper so only Wolfe could hear him.

"I see you are an assassin... You are most definitely in need of money." He leaned closer and gestured at his clothes.

"I am sure you have seen that boy who keeps an eye on us... He wears a spatial ring, and I am certain we will make a score if we manage to take it."

Wolfe was about to speak but Jack ignored him and continued.

"Do not worry I have a simple plan, and it will definitely work... I will lure him away from the rest of the group and you strike from behind when he is not on guard. Since he is just a Level 1, we can easily defeat him."

Throughout the entire conversation, Jack made sure not to mention killing.

While he needed Wolfe’s help to carry out his mission, he was not dumb enough to say murder directly.

If Wolfe betrayed him, he could just claim he wanted to steal because the punishment for trying to steal was not as severe as trying to kill.

Wolfe looked at Jack with a strange gaze.

"How do you plan to get away from the Level 3 Guard when you are done?" he asked.

"We run deeper into the mountain and as long as we are careful, especially with your skills, we should be able to get away unnoticed."

Wolfe stared at Jack in silence for a few seconds as he processed what he had just heard.

Any other time, he would have rolled with it... especially with how desperate he currently was but not now.

These people all seem to have an aerial type of bloodline.

Bloodlines typically provided advantages that gave an edge against others path and aerial type typically possessed enhanced senses.

Eagles had incredible eyesight and bats had crazy hearing, maybe even echolocation.

From the wing shapes he had seen, they had many similarities to bats. What said they would not have the same advantages?

’A Level 3 with echolocation,’ Wolfe thought. ’Good luck escaping from him.’

Without saying another word, Wolfe grabbed his tray and changed his location immediately.

’Now that I think about it... that might have been how the guard found me spying.’

It was late in the evening when Jensen finally arrived back at Oakland Town.

Just as he entered the gate, an unassuming man carefully approached him.

"Young Master Morvath," the man said. "Lady Kairi said to wait for you here... She asked me to inform you that Lord Daisaku has passed away last night."
