"Oh, Yichen, don’t be so harsh with your words~" Luna said, her eyeballs turning as she continued, "I invited Qi Hui as a guest, and your Uncle Qi is here too, he’s currently in the study playing chess with your dad."

"Ha." Leng Yichen let out a cold laugh, "They’ve really reached a certain level."

Leng Yichen was mocking the Qi father and daughter. On the day of the banquet, Qi Hui made such a scene in public, Old Qi was furious and took Qi Hui home right then and there. Normally, they wouldn’t have any dealings with the Leng Family for the rest of their lives, yet the Qi Family actually appeared at the Leng Family during the New Year, and Old Qi was casually playing chess with Leng Liewei?

"Mr. Leng, Yiran..." Qi Hui bit her lips and said with difficulty, "The incident at the banquet was my fault, and I wanted to find a chance to apologize to you."

Apologize? Bai Yiran raised her eyebrows. Could such a matter be resolved with an apology? "Old Qi and Qi Hui are my invited guests; don’t show a sour face to them!" Leng Liewei came down the stairs with his hands behind his back. Old Qi was one of his few friends, and unless absolutely necessary, Leng Liewei really didn’t want to lose this friend. So, when Luna suggested inviting the Qi family for the New Year, he agreed without hesitation.

Old Qi followed behind Leng Liewei, feeling uneasy. He really didn’t want to come, nor did he want to continue his relationship with someone as cold as Leng Liewei. Bai Yiran hesitated a bit, not believing that Luna would be kind enough to give her something.

"Yiran, you should go. Your stepmom really has something to give you."
