Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 886 - 885 - Farewell Banquet

Chapter 886 - 885 - Farewell Banquet

Lind saw Romana follow Fey back up to the teleportation weaving. The dry dock had been left as is but moved to the very limit of the sky he could put it.

The main advantage was no one could see it unless they looked far up and had the ability to see through Annabelle's illusions. As that was a very small list, it was basically no one.

It served 2 purposes.

One was a secret place to send promising members or close friends to comprehend the Laws for the elements. Secondary elements could be helped as much as primary elements. Demons, humans, aether children and so forth could all use the spheres.

Protean had actually been imbued into the core of the drydock as well. His spirit was now growing and understanding at a pace that was impossible before.

Haro was unsure what would happen but transferring weapon spirit to other mediums was not unheard of to save them. As Lind had created both forms, the spirit was completely compatible.

Theoretically, he could transfer Protean into a skyship but he did not want to limit the spirit that much.

The other main function was its normal residents. Elementals happily entered and left at their leisure until they solidified.

Then they used the spheres to grasp the more complex aspects of their own existence. The other race that Romana had not asked him about were the Celestials.

Lind had not been sitting quietly just building his clan but actively using old maps from the temple to directly explore known Fiend powers. The Starbreaker Empire had actually been lucky being near a Sacred Path entrance.

They were able to retain and build their foundation.

While others had survived, the thin Qi meant their cultivation supply dwindled severely.

It had taken close to 400 years to visit all of the spots. They had found some protected groves of trees due to the Sacred Paths as well and invited those that wished to trade with them to do so.

At each spot, they had found a handful of Celestials. All very young, malnourished and generally mistreated by the Fiends. He rescued them all. They also exterminated the Fiend locations without mercy.

While they could have more Celestials, he had learned they were just as likely to kill the child if it was discovered to not be a Fiend. He was curious how the Fiends ascending from the Heaven Realm Lands would be affected but only time would tell.

Thus far, they had no reports on such things but even 1000 years was a drop in the bucket to the million previous years.

He also began to suspect that Fiend children could become Celestials again if they could be prevented from consuming souls.

It was not the same feeling from the father of Kin as the current Celestials, but he knew it was possible.

Sadly, all attempts to spare the children resulted in the Fiends killing them remotely. They used the thrall technique on their own children!

Several dragon clans had happily taken up the locations as they had more resources than the Endless Plains.

"Father, do you think they will send more emissaries?" Hei's question was entirely valid but it did not matter. The only swift way to reach them anymore was the teleportation weaving.

A teleportation array was not able to connect unless Lind modified the existing weaving. He would not do so but left the method behind in several jade slips if the elders decided to do so.

It was odd to have clan elders again but equally so that they were all currently his children! They had all raced to Immortality like it was as easy as breathing! Not a single one had issues or restrictions!

He now had grandchildren too whom he spoiled rotten with affection but did not interfere in their cultivation training.

His mother was currently the most powerful grade 7 alchemist he knew of but her foundation had been rock solid thanks to all the resources and materials she had access to since he had started the Moebius Sect all those millennia ago.

Hei then summoned a communication jade stone and smirked as he looked at him. A feeling of dread washed over him that was confirmed a few moments later.

"Mom said the banquet will be a week-long event and you will attend at all times or there will be a penalty." Lind flinched. Normally, a playful penalty would be welcome but he knew damned well that no matter how bored he got, he had to stay or the threat would be penalties involving paperwork

He just knew it!

He sighed and nodded.

"I suppose I should get cleaned up. You too or your moms will have both our heads." He enjoyed seeing his son pale before flying off like a fire was under his hind quarters. Lind cleaned up the work area before he vanished from where he stood.

One advantage Immortals had was that unless it was a great distance, they did not really need external teleportation help once they mapped out the space around them.

An Immortal already had a good sense of the Laws of Space but Lind had made it even easier as he applied a coordinate system with the very center being the drydock tower.

All that he had to do then was set up certain rooms that no one could live in and any Immortal in the Clan could appear safely in that room. Each room was equipped with a weaving that would connect to an adjacent room if it was occupied for any reason.

He had tested them fully enjoyed the convenience. He had tried to go much farther but there was a severe limit on the distance he could reach. It was not simply the edge of his sense but almost like his Qi became drained exponentially the farther he tried to go.

He appeared in the Spatial Closet as he liked to call them and was greeted by a smiling Firella. Her lavender skin was touched up and shone with new life as her white streaked azure hair was done up beautifully.

She was wearing a black and blue cheongsam that accentuated her beauty even more and was made of fine spider silk. It was from the crimson eyed tarantulas if he was not mistaken.

He also felt her smile was predatory as her Sliver Tier aura flared at him.

"I was going to my quarters, I swear!" His mother-in-law simply smiled wider and stepped back to let him slip by as he began to head towards his rooms. A cold sweat was down his back as he saw his own mother waiting there!

She had on the traditional Frey Clan colors but her emblem was the flaming crane. Her dress was in a similar style to Firella's. Both women had identical smiles that made him shiver in fear.

He was not that bad about going to functions! He knows he wasn't!

He felt like he was being herded to his rooms now but thankfully none of his wives were waiting in ambush but the 2 women took up guard posts outside his door!

He quickly stripped off his filthy clothes and conjured up a steaming bath to clean himself. He noticed a few scented oils and soaps were conveniently laid out that were not there before!

The completeness of their methods left little doubt there was more to the banquet than he was being told. He was not going away forever. He had to go the final Divine Inheritance far to the north of them.

He then wanted to map out some areas marked on the old maps that might be important for the whole realm. One in particular was odd as he had 2 maps that disagreed on how it should look over there.

One had a mountain and one did not. Their age was roughly the same so he was confused as to how they could disagree on such a large landmark when all the others matched up perfectly.

Once his bath was done, he was about to summon his simple gray robes but froze. A feeling of death had just washed over him from the door!

He quickly scanned the room and grimaced. A very fine set of crimson robes lined with gold and a massive black disc on the back with an emerald dragon a lot like him in the middle of it.

They were easily peak mid grade 7 and were inscribed wonderfully with protection and Qi gathering arrays. There was even a fine pair of slippers that went with them. He sighed and gave in as he put them on.

It was one thing he had refused. He was now just a Clan Head, so no servants dressing him…ever!

He finally conjured a mirror and saw a very handsome man with emerald hair down to his mid back area wearing very fine robes. His skin had become paler as he was not as outdoors as much but only he could tell that.

His vertically slit emerald eyes were softened as he did not want to scare anyone.

"Are you all happy now?" He asked the open air but several auras shook as he knew they were giggling! He opened the door to find much warmer smiles on his mother and mother-in-law.

"You look so handsome as always, Lind." His mother then pecked his cheek but he was not fooled for a moment. If he had tried to come out in his normal robes, only death would have greeted him.

"You are a worthy warrior of our family. Now, come! It is time to party!" Firella was much more candid as always. She was her daughter's mother without a doubt.

"Do I at least get to know why I am dressed up like a monkey on display?" As an Emperor had accepted it as part of his role but a Clan Head would only normally dress up for weddings or important meetings. The banquet was his family's idea but surely it need not be so formal for a week!

Both women stared at him as if he was particularly slow.

"Lind, you are the founder, leader, and most important figure in this age. You are setting out on a journey to cement your status as a True Lord and possibly find important resources for us all. How do you think such a send off should go?" The more his mother talked the more he just wanted to leave!

He loved his family but that was not all who would be there! There would be some of their trading partners, Romana, and spirits knew who else they snuck in! He just wanted to have a nice few days with his family and go.

Was that really so much to ask?!
