Chapter 812 - 811 - Wolf Goddess
Chapter 812 - 811 - Wolf Goddess
Lind woke up in a rather comfy place. He felt warm and fuzzy, but he was disturbed to feel his bed move!
He slowly looked around and found he was relaxing on top of a giant wolf with silver fur. It was not metallic, just the color. He could tell by her scent she was a peak Moon Tier but something was odd.
Her foundation was perfect! It was the first aether beast foundation he had found perfect since he arrived!
He gently stretched his senses and found no Laws in the air around him but the fact remained the aether beast under him had a perfect foundation.
He then felt a weight on his left arm and found Hope drooling onto him!
Why was she sleeping?! She was in the World Realm and should not need to sleep that much anymore at all!
Still, it was adorable. He glanced around and found they were actually in a structure, not a cave. It was still rundown, but not entirely bad either. The cracks were superficial in the stone while the wood debris showed furniture had been there at one time.
He saw Gel curled up in a corner while Orion was in the lotus position still tied up. He hoped the poor man had been allowed to move around!
His eyes narrowed as he saw something impossible.
They were no longer Nightfall Realms but Sky Realms! How was such a thing possible? Nothing he knew of or understood could do that!
[You are awake Lord Dragon?] A gentle voice came to his mind and he saw steel gray eyes looking at him but that was all. He closed his eyes as he still felt weak.
[Awake, but not recovered. I am grateful for the kindness but I have questions. May I ask?] Surprise came from the wolf but she nodded at him.
He was floored by what he was told. Still, it slowly came back to him in that final confrontation with the Immortal Fiend, he had truly controlled his harmony Law for the first time.
He had simply wanted to erase their ravaging from the world but clearly it was a much broader concept than he realized.
[I have never heard of such a thing but then again this entire situation is off the charts of any known path.] He sighed before carefully moving Hope aside. She curled up even more into the fur and looked even more adorable.
His body felt heavy but it was in no pain at all. His sliver was not drained of Laws at all which he found weird considering how weak he felt. What was missing? Then he felt stupid as his Qi reserves were practically non-existent.
He had been injured badly and fallen from the sky. No matter if he was Immortal or not, he had not been able to defend himself at all so he likely took a lot of damage.
It was followed by the strange set of events he wished he fully understood.
Just what in blazes had he done?!
According to his new friend, Laws temporarily returned, Heaven came in full power briefly, and it all led to some kind of seal on the crystal he had inadvertently created.
He wanted to go back but if the Immortals had any sense, they had that area under lock and key by then. It had been weeks since it had all happened after all.
That was bad. It meant he had been severely injured, mentally depleted, and Qi deprived all at once. He had not been in peak condition when he did all that too.
He highly suspected Heaven had come for that moment to save his little life or at least to make sure he succeeded. Things might be that desperate in the Celestial Fields.
If he could overcome whatever tried to consume all of reality wholesale even a little, it would buy a massive amount of time. He hoped.
Regardless, he took stock of his current situation.
There were a LOT of wolves outside what seemed to be an old fortress. It had a simple stable and just enough living space for maybe a dozen people.
He knew wolves built packs but that was excessive.
He also picked up enough from their actions to know what they called his current host.
Wolf Goddess.
His senses told him they were serious and they were not happy at all that 2 demons, a child of unknown origin, and a being they found irritating were currently in her quarters.
He found the last part odd. He should smell like a dragon but then he recalled how battered he likely had been at the time. It would have been a miracle if they could pick anything out of the mess of blood on him.
He flicked out his aura and the entire pack trembled.
[Apologies, but I did not want them to get the wrong idea about bringing me back.] His host bowed but he felt it was odd. Dragons were feared for certain and that was what the pack currently felt, but he only got respect from the Wolf Goddess.
[They were restless but it is good to remind them of the order of things. You are strange, Lord Dragon.] He signed.
"Lind, I am called Lind Frey." He switched to his voice as he took a bow. It went against convention but she had saved him from certain danger, so he was grateful.
Her eyes widened but then both demons respectively awoke. He was about to speak to them when he was bowled over.
"LIND!" Why did all small kids do that?! Still he smiled as he patted Hope's head as she snuggled into him. A giggle came from the wolf before her body shifted in silver light to reveal a stunning beauty.
Her gorgeous silver robes covered her voluptuous form. The human shape a beast took was still based on their original form so it was not random but Lind often found it distracting how beautiful aether beasts could become as humans.
He wondered if he would be considered horribly ugly by other dragons all of a sudden but neither Ethry nor Lanbao had ever mentioned anything to him.
Still, they were biased.
She had darker hair but it was still a variation of silver. Her eyes were steel but gentle as her pale skin actually went well with the colors. She bowed low which made him blush as he realized her robe was a tad too open in the front!
"Ahem, please rise." Gel looked at him a little coldly but it was not his fault! He was happily married!
He had more than enough wives too. His draconic lust did not even stir, it was just too much that caught him off guard!
Full throated laughter came from the Wolf Goddess as his scent likely told her the entire tragedy of emotions right there!
"Forgive me, I forget about human expectations and most beasts would not be bothered by a human form anyway." That part was true. Aside from Lind, Ethry did not understand human aesthetics at all. Lanbao had some to an extent but only when families came together.
She had told him it was cute the way husbands and wives greeted each other. He had never been sure if people were like cats and dogs were to humans but did not want to pry under that particular rock at the time.
A sad look passed over his face that he would never get that chance but he smiled as he could likely guess.
"While I have a name I know you understand, Lord Frey, the humans call me Yue." He nodded at that. At night, her coat of silver would definitely evoke an image of moonlight.
"A pleasure to meet you. I am sure Hope has talked a lot but I will be more clear. I am an ascender…" He held nothing back as it was no doubt pointless. He saw that little head bob up and down in confirmation as she puffed out her chest.
He could only imagine how she had phrased it.
Yue seemed to consider his words for a time before slowly nodding.
"I already knew she spoke the truth but your more grounded explanation answers many questions save one. How did you reconnect the ascension pools?" Lind frowned as he was not sure how to answer that.
"It would be more accurate to say I reconnected one, just barely, and even then I think i am the only one alive that could survive the journey. It is not pleasant." He described it and what the area was like.
Yue frowned deeply at that.
"So, I could not send my back down even if I wanted to. They would not survive the journey either from what I gather. No one here would, not even me in my new state." Lind nodded. A 6 elemental was the only being that could and with a sliver similar to his own.
In other words, Lind was the only person alive that could safely traverse the various areas of the Celestial Fields from what he could gather.
[Goddess, a human comes.] Lind snapped up at that. He quickly summoned an elixir but then froze. It was changed!
The once strained liquid now seemed hardly bothered! He pushed it aside and down the crimson liquid. Qi stormed into his dantian and body. As soon as he had enough he put out a feeler and frowned.
A human was indeed coming but they were not coming directly. What was more, they had a jade slip in their hands they seemed to be consulting as they looked around.
He concentrated and heard a few words that made him freeze.
[Emerald hair or scales. Should also have reptilian eyes. No name is annoying.]
Him! They were looking for him!
