Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 801 - 800 - True Qi

Chapter 801 - 800 - True Qi

There was a small army of demons with a peak Sun Tier Fiend currently trying to find the source of the commotion reported a few days ago.  Lind actually laughed as they lost to the riled up beasts on more than one occasion and had to pull back!

He had projected his roar to the north so that was where they were focused while he was in the south.

The little Celestial girl had not spoken a word but she was now sitting by his fire happily gorging herself on food.  Lind had been practicing with his own QI and began to realize a few things.

He could manipulate Celestial Qi, but only in weaving could he truly use it.  Also, unlike natural Qi that was suffering from Law deprivation, Celestial Qi had no such issue at all.  It was at that moment that he recalled his theory that demons might have originally been created.

If a Celestial had refined natural Qi until it was stable, or mimicked naturally occurring treasures in humans, demons may have been intentional or an accident depending on how one looked at it.

So he tried to get her to use some of his Heaven grade 1 elixirs but she refused outright.  He drank them in front of her to show they were harmless but she did not budge on it.  Pills were the same but he did not bother eating them.

He engraved a few weavings with her version of Qi that made her smile but still no more talking.

He did project the spectacularly hilarious failures of the patrols which seemed to entertain her as well.  The village she had lived in noticed she was gone due to all the kids saying she had been out that night of dangerous beasts.

Not a single search party was sent though, and the adults quickly burned her home to the ground.  He showed it to her and while she cried a bit, there was no other reaction.

The next few days things settled but a permanent regiment was set up to keep an eye on things but Lind appreciated the attention to detail.  It showed they took threats seriously and made them very predictable.

Compared to the dismissive attitude in the Heaven Realm, the current Fiends were actually much closer to a human lifestyle but he knew their long game was still there.

He instead tried to figure out how to help the girl in front of him.

"I can heal you, if you allow me."  He was trying to explain again but the moment he brought up the subject she zipped away from him as if he was a direct threat.  "Sigh, could you at least tell me why you do not want to be healed?"

Her face scrunched up as she looked up at him.  The fact she was blind did not seem to impose on her at all.

"I don't want to die."  She finally spoke but it confused him until he recalled the corpses and put a palm to his head.

"I am an idiot.  I am not a Fiend or a Celestial.  I am a dragon.  Do you know about dragons?"  She shook her head and he sighed once more.

He then conjured his original 6 elements with the harmony at the center.  The dance of Qi was surprisingly clear compared to the Qi in the air.  Lind narrowed his eyes at that but let it dance around the girl.

She smiled for something other than food for the first time as she let her tiny hands feel the dance around her.

"I am what is called a 6 elemental.  I ascended from the Heaven Realm lands below.  I have what is called a harmony.  I am an elixir master, weaver, and Forger for professions.  All of that means, I can heal you in ways I would heal anyone alive."  She seemed to pull back a bit but not as much as before.

"Does it still hurt?"  She was talking!

"It can feel odd at the best of times.  If you are just sore or bleeding, it can itch as the skin closes up but your injuries are severe.  It will hurt but less than the original injuries."  He did not lie to her.  "I can let you sleep through the worst of it, if you wish."

She shook her head hard at that part.  Trust did not exist yet at all it seemed.

"Let's do something simple.  Your eyes."  Her head snapped up at that.  He actually had to make a paste as an elixir would do too much.  It was actually a well known one but he modified it slightly.

He carefully infused Celestial Qi into it of all 6 elements.  He wanted to name them something other than anti-fire and so forth but the spirit of the Repository had warned him against speaking about True Qi and other subjects.

"Stinky."  Her voice was much closer but he continued to crush the herbs into a simple bandage strip.  He smiled and finished his work.

"It is not the best smell but most medicine is that way."  He then carefully soaked the bandages in the paste before holding them up.  "I am going to apply them.  Once we start, it will feel like a burning sensation.  You cannot remove them or it will start over."

She slowly nodded as he applied the bandages and tied them off on her small head.  She made no further sound but the twist of her face was apparent.

"I am here, right with you."  He took her hand and she seemed to want to get free at first but then she clung to him.  He observed the progress and was happy to see his additions were making the process compatible for her.

As he suspected, despite being able to eat and drink normally, products made by a cultivator still needed the correct elements to work properly.

Most of the day passed before the damage was repaired.  He carefully examined her eyes before he was sure.  He looked out of the cave opening and the sun was nowhere near as bright.

"I am going to remove the bandages now.  Don't open your eyes yet.  Just wait."  He cut the bandage and then conjured water to clear her face.  He examined her one more time but then smiled.

"Very slowly, open your eyes but if it hurts, you can turn away from the fire."  She opened her eyes and winced before turning to the darkened interior.  She then blinked a lot until she could slowly turn around in wonder.

Tears flowed as she looked at the fire, meat, and cup of water.  She looked at the burnt orange sky and the green of the leaves contrasting with the dark barks of each tree.

She ran to the edge of the cave and looked up at the wide expanse of sky and began to laugh.

"I can see!  I can see!  Mommy and Daddy, I can see again!"  She collapsed to her knees but Lind let her revel in her new situation.

It was then he felt a shift in the world.  Qi elements that were not Fiend at all barely stood out to him.  He generated his own and was stunned how the Qi from him shifted slightly before flying into her body.

He observed in shock as 6 Soul Cores formed in her dantian!  She was in the peak of the Body Refining Realm?!  He had not sensed that at all!

He was then further shocked as his harmony began to react.  The emerald facet of his sliver glowed like a sun as he allowed it to mingle with the Celestial Qi.

A shimmering flame lit up her dantian with a burnt gold but then vanished into each core.  It was stunning as the True Qi cores lit up at that moment.

The cracking of bones was heard and she cried out but he could only watch.  It was not the way he would have wanted to heal her but it got the job done a bit better than he could.

Once it was over, she was covered in impurities unlike any child he had ever seen.  It was easily the same amount as an adult!  Her bones were now corrected, Her once heavily scarred body was now pristine.

He also carefully checked her meridians and dantian but they were not only intact but incredibly strong.

He then turned his head at 45 degrees as he saw something odd.

Her dantian was working too damn well from how it should be but there were strange rings.  He thought they were like his Weaving Circles but they did not feel the same at all.

"One, two, three…looks like 5 in total.  Two of those circles are glowing too."  He did the math in his head and made a guess.  "Heaven Realm.  She will top out at Heaven Realm."

He made a deduction based on what he had learned but there had been no mention of the rings.

"Mister?"  A little voice spoke up as she awakened.  Lind smiled as he held out his hand but she was staring at him.  "Pretty hair."  He laughed as she grabbed the end of some of his hair.

He let her explore for a bit before setting her down.

"You healed yourself a bit.  You are now a Soul Realm, congratulations."  She was confused but he began to teach her.

He could only try to explain it all to her as he knew far too little about Celestial Qi let alone an actual Celestial.

The lessons distracted him from waiting for the Starbreaker Empire to relax.  He enjoyed teaching the little girl but then realized he still did not know her name!

"As I said before, I am Lind Frey, what is your name?"  She looked up and actually smiled at him.  It was not just the joy of recovery or enjoying food.  She actually looked at him!

"Hope!"  She shouted her name and he nodded.

"Pleasure to meet you, now get some rest.  You have had a long day!"  She nodded and curled up with a smile.  Long days ahead awaited them both.
