Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 613 - 612 - Path to Heaven or Hell

Chapter 613 - 612 - Path to Heaven or Hell

Lind found the empty caskets far more eerie than when full but the feeling of souls angered him more.  Yet, he pushed it all aside as he gently used weaving before breathing out.  The Sky Realm blinked and wobbled then resumed his monitoring of his fellows as they controlled the puppets.

Lili and he moved back before slowly flying up again.  He followed the path of the man from before and found a ledge with an ancient teleportation array.  He had felt no space fluctuation so he knew it was extremely high end.

"What are we going to do?"  Lili was afraid because she had not felt the being behind the presence.  Lind wondered if he should use the Wizard of Oz to explain but dismissed the silly notion.

"It was only a Sun Tier, not an Immortal.  He was using a platform to float and likely increase his aura."  Lind did not see any such platform so it had teleported with him.  He found the array astounding.

He also felt shocked once more as it was both formation and weaving in one!

Celestial Qi also flowed in it and he felt like a child looking at a corporate accounting book.  The math was something simple but the scale of it was far more complex than a child could grasp easily.

Still, he had a piece of it and knew he and Annabelle had a lot of experiments in the future.  The flash of his wife was soothing and painful.  He pushed his emotions away and calculated the destination.

"I think Orwellia is older than the other empires, or at least the foundation of it is."  Lind knew the array reached straight up.  Based on how far they had come down and back they were under the first large land mass locked above.

"Surely you are not thinking of using this?"  Lind smirked and pointed with his hand.

"You are free to go back to the wagon but we both know that is just as much of a dead end.  This way, we have a shot but back there, there is none."  She slowly nodded as they stood in the center of the array.

Lind flicked the activation section and the array barely flickered before the scene shifted around them.

He was shocked!

Instead of the deep dark of night, he actually saw a clear blue sky with an actual sun!  He saw lush forests and a citadel of pure white glistening in the distance.

"Shouldn't the illusion array fail like the rest?"  Lind shook his head as he long knew there was a vast difference between fooling the senses and the soul.  His brand protected them from soul effects but anything else was fair game.

"I am not sure it is an illusion exactly.  I think that is an artificial sun instead."  Lind's skin was far more sensitive to atmospheric changes and he could tell real wind from false where even Annabelle could not fool him.

Lili was shocked but even more she understood the implication.  That was not a grade 6 anything anyhow. Only grade 7 had such power!

Lind noted traces of Qi heading towards the citadel but quickly led Lili away.  They once more re-enacted their camouflage and not a moment later a Moon Tier finally appeared!

The first true Heaven Realm but Lind noticed Lili's reaction of knowing the woman who appeared.  She was in fine silks and gold trimmed it all.  Her manicured hands were clearly never known to hold a weapon but Lind was not fooled.

A cultivator did not need a weapon to be deadly.

She was also a peak Moon Tier and Lind felt a threat from her unlike anyone he had yet met in the Heaven Realm.  It seemed Orwellian nobility took their cultivation very seriously.

He could still detect the old elemental flaws but in a direct fight it would be hard to say who would win.  He had an advantage in capacity but her quality would shatter most of his Arts.  His harmony was a different matter but if all of the Moon Tiers were like her, that would not be enough.

Her sea green eyes looked fiercely at the array and her cherry red lips formed a deep frown.  The braided hair was chestnut instead of black like most of the natives there.

"Strange, I felt it activate but Archon already returned.  What is going on?"  She swept the area but did not find them.  Still, she then did a very complete inspection for any tracks.  If Lind could not fly like a dragon, they would have been in deep trouble.

He was about to breathe a sigh of relief as she went to leave when a damned familiar feeling came to him.

"Rommie, why did you leave my party so suddenly?"  A male Fiend appeared!  He was not a puppet and he was peak Sun Tier!  Lind had felt such strength before!

"I beg pardon, your Imperial Majesty, but I am on duty to monitor the array.  There was an unexpected fluctuation."  The Fiend was massively muscled but not to the detriment of his movements.  Speed and power in one package and the density of his Qi was crushing Lind.

Lili had passed out but he held her.

If he followed, they would be exposed!

The ash gray skin was complemented by the pure white hair tied into a braid over his left shoulder.  His fine silks were violet and crimson.  The marking on his back was unfamiliar but Lind felt more shock that another Fiend ruled.

Why did Shi not mention it?!

Did she not know?

"That foolish woman is likely getting desperate now that the intruder took Dar.  Honestly, they were fools but there is nothing I can do to help the poor souls.  Suzen's Folly keeps me trapped here."  Lind's mind grasped something critical.

Xing did not know about the Fiend in Orwellia?!  How?!  She could see everywhere!

He then looked at the false sun and the fine scenery before he realized her vision might not be complete here.  The power behind the formations was on par or maybe higher than the Law Binding.

If, as he suspected, it far predated it, then the Law Binding might not be able to enforce its will on those areas.  To allay suspicion, the male Fiend could have set up a false Imperial family and then history unfolded for the last million years.

The aura of the Fiend swept the area.  If not for his previous experience in the Barren Realm, Lind would have been caught unprepared.  His artifacts all had such methods to defend against Fiend detection at the very least.

Thus, despite buckets of sweat coming from his body and his mind barely holding on, the camouflage held.

"There is nothing here my dear.  Come back to the party.  I so rarely get to impregnate you."  The final line nearly broke Lind the human woman giggled happily as she followed the Fiend across the sky.

Lind suddenly realized the final revelation.  He was no longer restricted from flying!  He could feel it!

"A pocket dimension, or a partial one.  It is outside the Law Binding!"  So long as it existed before, the Law Binding could not affect an Immortal level creation.  Still, it meant the issue of Orwellia ran much deeper.

The last line also told him where all the puppet Fiends had come from.  If they had no souls, the Law Binding would not trigger!

He picked up Lili and floated carefully deeper into the wilderness.  Whatever else, he felt the truth of the forest around him.  It was not an illusion at all but the sky was.  There was no sun no matter how much one wanted there to be.

He dared not carve out an alcove or use a cave.  Any idiot would search for such places if they suspected intruders.  Thus, he looked for trees.

The massive pines and oaks were there but he finally found the one he wanted.  It was a tree with branches in all directions and full of knots.

Many beasts had made nests and he carefully found a place to call his own.  The other beasts tried to challenge him, but a single flare of his dragon aura shut them up.

The last few days had been tiring for Lind and Lili had received a lot of shock too.  They needed to recuperate and hide.

He carefully manipulated the leaves and smaller branches to obscure them before arranging a few formation plates to keep the camouflage artifact going as well as make them lighter than air so the branch would not sway unnaturally.

After that, he began to recover his Qi and let the world drift away.

Timat had been trapped for a million years.  He had not been unprepared when Suzen activated his betrayal but the limited movement had been maddening.

He returned with his current favorite, Rommie, to the party.  It was always a party every day.  He smiled at their joy and watched as they ate crap.

That was not a metaphor.  They were literally eating crap.  They enjoyed it to the full believe it was sweet dumplings, roasted aether beast meat, or some other delicacy but he held Rommie back.

He also had a few chosen others that actually enjoyed real food as the current batch of lazy nobles gorged themselves on crap.

He took the 5 or 6 women away to have his fun.  He never broke them anymore as he needed constant replenishment on the puppets.  They wore out so fast.

He was just about to seal his door when his instinct flared.  For just a moment he felt something dangerous.  He felt a presence not known to the Heaven Realm in more than a billion years.

A dragon.  Timat knew dragons and he knew their aura very well.  Where did the dragon aura come from?  The closest thing was that pathetic flood dragon but she was likely dead long ago.

He sent a few mental commands and then smiled wide as the nude bodies were already waiting for him.  He wondered if he should restore their memories or not, but screams were not what he wanted at the moment.

Instead, he simply reveled in carnal pleasure!
