Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 561 - 560 - Power of Truth

Chapter 561 - 560 - Power of Truth

Lind had been in the Heaven Realm for just over a week.  While he had to figure out how to control his new strength and stabilize his foundation after its explosive increase, he had felt just tired.

The expectation had been to find where he was, get to his wives and begin establishing the Moebius Sect one last time.  He already knew ascending to the Celestial Fields was not going to happen, or at least had issues.

He also wanted a place to consolidate power to protect his family from the machinations of the Alliance.

Instead, he was in some isolated place in the Heaven Realm and stuck with people that were just…broken.

He had shown his ability to weave in the hopes to weaken the morality of the soldiers but their overall response took all the energy out of him.

"P-p–please don't take our souls!  We did not mean to disobey or disappoint you!"  He had simply spoken coldly and leaned over them.  It broke them all.

Just what did the Soulmancers do?

He thought they simply used souls to fuel their weavings but the reaction he was seeing was insanely overblown.

The some 25 soldiers were all crying and weeping as if he was going to reap all their souls on a whim!

No weaver, no matter how complex their weaving ability, would just take souls because they could.  The brands made it easier but the soul still had to be used or it would simply disperse after a short time.

It was a bad way to die, but they would still enter samsara like any natural death.  Only when used as a weaving would the soul be lost forever.

Their fear was unreasonable but there were just too many gaps in his knowledge.  He turned to Glenda who stayed in her natural form.

[I do not understand either, but I have seen the black cloaks they call the Soulmancers.  They are cruel, cold, and merciless.  Yet, they do not reap souls, they do punish them, however."  Lind's eyes narrowed.

That was not a weaver ability.  His eyes glowed emerald as he pierced their defenses and finally saw the weaving brand in its entirety.

Now that he had a clear view of the complete weaving, his anger spiked.

His Moon Tier aura flared that made the Sky Realms and Star Tier sweat in terror as they wondered if they would be at least allowed to die when the Soulmancer was done with them.

Lind's veins bulged and emerald scales began to spread over his body.  His height increased until a 7 meter tall sinuous dragon stood on its hind claws as it looked coldly down at the humans.

Glenda felt her blood boil and shiver at once.  The heart feather clearly celebrated in her senses, so she knew it was freely given.  A roc and a dragon mating was not entirely unheard of but the feeling of pure love wa rare with any beasts.

"RRROOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!"  A Divine Progenitor!  Glenda felt a visceral reaction as all her instinctual anger melted away.  Progenitors were respected and very damned rare.  Even her grandfather, that lost a mate to dragons, would have been respectful to Lind Frey.

The rest of the Hinterlands had a reaction like a god had descended.  Anything below the Star Tier felt filled with awe as the roar contained an intent.

It was the rage of justice, of the desire to bring low those that had betrayed Heaven and Earth.  Their Qi flowed like thunder in their veins and they bowed towards Lind in all directions.

Star Tiers were solemn as they felt the power and a wisp of a dragon for the first time in living memory.  Their race memories told them dragons were dangerous but the drakes across the lands roared in joy.

Certain races of snakes surfaced and embraced the sounds of Lind's roar into their bloodline that sang.

There were a few tigers and turtles that looked grim but were too weak to resist it.

There was another Moon Tier beast that simply looked up before nodding and settling back down in his cavern.  The young were too impatient in his mind.  His golden mane flowed like silk but little else could be revealed in that movement aside from his massive size.

Lind finally stopped roaring.  He felt his mind and heart finally clear.

He turned back into a human and was naked once more.  A very tired sigh came from him but he did not care at the moment.

"First, I need a set of robes.  I am completely out of them."  Glenda smirked as she tossed some robes from her own storage ring.  They were her father's but he had been a large man in human shape so Lind looked like he was swimming in the fine cream colored robes.

After some quick adjustment, Lind saw all the soldiers were passed out but alive.  There was some bleeding from their ears but nothing else.

He raised his hand and sigils flew and connected until a glowing field of Qi gathered them up.

"The other humans will be just as afraid of you."  Glenda seemed to know where he was going but Lind was tired of being surprised and listening to propaganda.  He had to figure out the truth of where he was and it started with the truth of himself.

"I am also a Forger."  Shock flared on Glenda's face.  All 3 derivative professions in 1 person?!  How?!

Lind flew up and drew the humans with him.  They returned to the Two Rivers camp but the over 500 there went from joy to shock and fear.

Wails were heard but Lind only looked tired.

He carefully set down the soldiers before a smelting pot appeared.  Sigils blazed as he quickly melted ore and brought out some crushed crystal powder.

The once fear filled crowd was now shocked as they recalled the last week of Lind healing them with elixirs he made in front of them as he now Forged as well!

"I am from a Mortal Realm.  I was born human but was a 6 elemental.  I have 6 primary elements."  As he spoke, all 6 elements flared for all to see.

Even damaged, the humans could feel the truth and Glenda was just barely holding in her shock.

"I had a fortuitous encounter and learned I am an elixir master.  What you call a Lifemancer."  The bright glow of molten metal floated out as elements began to fuse with it and clumps were separated into fine bracelets.

The dark metal shone with profound power as 2 badges suddenly appeared.

None but Glenda recognized them and she quickly bowed low in deep respect to Lind.

"I am a low grade 6 master officially in Forging and elixir mastery.  I am also, unofficially, a low grade 6 weaver.  What you call a Soulmancer.  There is, however, one large difference between us."

Lind let his emerald flames fly as they infused into the sigils and all grasped it instantly.

He only used his own soul!

"I am reluctant to say I can help, but at the very least, I would like to.  Are you willing to let me help?"  As he finished, 25 bracers were floating around him as they glowed with profound Qi!

Before anyone could answer the bracers were dropped in a pile next to Sheena who looked up at him thoughtfully.

"Those are simple Qi binding restraints.  They will not harm them but will prevent them from using their cultivation.  Their bodies will retain their resilience but not their raw strength.  I would like them not to be harmed at the moment."  He quietly floated and waited.

The humans had fear still trying to rise, but it was a tiny girl that moved first.  She waved and then pulled Old Wan to step up.

"Thank you for all you have done so far!  You can serve me!"  Glenda nearly stumbled but Lind's shoulders began to shake as laughter began to ring out as Benny smiled up sweetly while Old Wan smirked at her.

The tension broke as if a spell had been cast.

Lind landed and Sheena came up and knelt to him at first but then simply bowed which made him smile.  Gail helped apply the bracers to their prisoners before Lind resumed talking to others.

Glenda observed and felt something odd.  It was not enlightenment but a feeling.  She felt like she was seeing something her grandfather hoped for.

No matter what they tried, the Law Binding was immutable but its effects had become clear as time passed.

No ascension for anyone.  No Immortal could ascend nor could the lower realms appear anymore.

Manifestations had stopped too, but that was harder to gauge since that was far more rare in the Heaven Realm.

Still, she looked at the crowd and believed their million years of imprisonment might be having a change.  Even if they were still trapped, she hoped Lind Frey could break the shackles binding them all.

She floated down and stood to the side as she saw him smile and she no longer wondered what her ancestor saw in the dragon.  His smile and gentle look was balanced by fierce and powerful actions.

She wondered what the future would bring to them all!
