Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 524 - 523 - Whirlwind Creation

Chapter 524 - 523 - Whirlwind Creation

Lind felt a vein throb at his temple.

Romana had left him with a mess but a mess with no way to deny it without hurting his plans!  He swore she loved causing chaos.

While he appreciated she had found a powerful figure holding Fiend artifacts, he absolutely felt she could have prevented the meeting she broke up and quietly let the Path of Heaven Guild elect a new leader.

She instead let all the discontented guild masters gather up while warning the sect masters and kingdom envoys that had been on their way!  He then suddenly got credit for revealing a possible danger to the realm once more and all the once annoyed masters were practically bowing at his door!

ROMANA!

The sects and other powers were grateful to be left out of it as well and were much the same as the guilds.  All roadblocks were gone in a single move but it was trickery and he did not like it!

"It was a good move, you should learn from her more."  Kexin was smiling as she enjoyed his discomfort.  With Lysanna gone, she was his de facto administrator and she was very good at it.

He also suspected Lysanna would have enjoyed his discomfort at the moment.  The thought of how all his wives and family would react left him with a flash of melancholy.  It was not long but he already missed them.

"Perhaps, but it could have been handled better as a guild was essentially crushed for it as well.  I want those experts taken care of if they are willing."  Kexin then dropped a jade slip on his desk.  He looked at it and then up at her as if she was a bully.

"I was unaware that mind reading was in your repertoire."  Kexin just shrugged as she left his office.

Not only had she picked up the loose experts but she put them to work on the new city and competition forum.  It was already only a few months but what had been a ruin of a city with little to no traffic had become a bustling metropolis.

The massive structure at the center left no doubt why the city existed but it was only partially built.  The outer wall simply kept nosy people out but the interior was barebones only.

The majority of effort was still on the city.  They had made inns, taverns, and anything else that could hold a large number of people and supplies at the same time!  After that they followed the plan to make various special courtyards and mansions to assign to various powers.

No one had anything reserved save Moebius Sect and that was only because he was outvoted!

As the hosts, it was incumbent they have a display of their sect in the city at least.  That was how that massive compound had been explained to Lind, anyway.  The fact it was in the shape of a sinuous dragon making a circle was kind of obvious to him also!

Lind tried to prevent any other 'additions' like that but it was like a small storm of construction so it was hard to catch it all.  He had made explicit instructions after that but then modified the Moebius Sect compound to accommodate beasts better if they wished to attend.

It was something that made Kexin smirk but he did not care.  The beasts of the sect also thanked him.  There would be facilities in the competition arena of course but it had been a bit of a headache to try and make it so for the other areas of the city.

Star Tiers could be much smaller as a human shape but other beasts, while intelligent, could not always be so easy to plan for.  Having a place to relax for them was excellent and the compound had its own facilities for food and drink as well.

It was one of the rules, however, that hunting was off limits in the city boundaries.

The fact they had to be clear on that made some beasts grumble but understood going to the city for the contest meant they could not indulge like a combat contest would let them.

Still, he suspected many would come that normally fought each other.  It would be a headache for the new Warders, yet that was why some beasts joined them.

"Master Frey, we have set up forges–"  A head worker stopped by to drop off another progress report.  Lind was reviewing it and signed off on the next step.

There was no time to hear a report for every update from the new construction or Lind would do nothing else for the next decade.

As the current worker left, Lind sensed more on the way.  He felt like he was buried in reports lately but he knew it was coming.

Before he knew it, the day was coming to an end with the sun already gone from the sky!

Lind looked a little disheveled and had no time to cultivate or even try to read any of the materials he planned to.

Running a sect was daunting but manageable by dividing up the responsibilities with Elders, but the competition was a massive project that there simply were not enough hands to go around.

The sect still had to be run and many of the Star Tiers had left that could have helped him.  Lind almost felt like the spirits of Heaven and Earth were amusing themselves with irony.

In order to get the agreement from the Heaven Realm, he had to make a big splash with all those Star Tiers ascending at once in a unified fashion.  Thus, the competition only really became possible with that act first.

Yet now that he got it going, he needed those same Star Tiers back to help him!

He rubbed his head as he closed up the books and sealed the jade slips he had to for the day but then Kexin came back.  She looked a little tired as well to show how busy the sect was as well.

"I am afraid I have one more thing for you, Sect Master."  The use of his title made Lind sigh. He sat back down but then a young man came behind Kexin and bowed to him.  Unlike the other people today, the current young man made Lind sit upright.

He had the orange and gold flame of Starfire House on him!

"Lord Frey, I have been assigned to relay this to you."  A dark ring was placed on the desk and Lind quickly bound it to him.  The instant he did, a wide smile came to him.

"You have done well and are far ahead of schedule.  Please, take a rest within our walls and I will reward you appropriately."  The man smiled and Kexin led him away.

Lind began to shake as laughter began to escape him and echo around his office.

He was free!  He no longer had to take care of the reports as he had a much more important job!

Making the prizes.

The next day, Lind was nowhere near his office.  He had divided things up between Kexin and a few other elders so not all of it fell onto a single person.  Kexin still made the ultimate decisions, but she could reach him if needed.

He was now in his personal courtyard in front of a rather strange apparatus.

When he was out traveling he had the simple smelting pots, mixing cauldron, and materials as needed.  He could not make anything permanent but at home he had his full setup.

Sigils were embedded into everything as a massive forge and cauldron were combined together by linkages or pipes that let materials flow where he needed them too.  Jade vials were set up at various points to accept elixirs or to store molten materials as he needed.

It should not work in any way shape or form, but the weavings made it possible.

It was the first true experiment he did combining his skills before the Nautilus.

Rather than having to break down the process for each profession with different tools, he made such that a single arrangement could allow him to do all 3 production professions as he desired without resetting equipment.

"Let's start with the newbie competition rewards."  Lind brought out the dark ring that was chock full of materials from Lady Estelle.  Most of it was simply Qi stones of various grades but the rest was materials to make the highest quality of grade 3, peak grade 5, and low Heaven grade 6.

The sun crested the horizon when emerald light filled his courtyard as metals were melted at the same time as essence was gathered from herbs and Qi stones.  Elemental crystals were crushed into powder that weaving sigils absorbed to gather power.

If any expert of any field was there at that moment, they would have felt like an ant at the storm of Qi.  There was no chaos, only supreme order carrying out multiple tasks at the same time.

Vials filled with elixirs very quickly then stored in several storage treasures he then sealed up.

A set of armor followed by 2 swords, shields, and daggers were quick to join them.  Lind hardly took the morning to finish the first round of creation.

He did not even seem winded as he smiled to push his limits!  He then continued through each level of competition but did not stop there.

He then began to build the framework for something quite familiar.

Lady Estelle had been confused by some of his requests as while it was not difficult it made no sense to combine most of them until he used weavings to stitch it together.

If anyone from the barren realm had been there, they would instantly recognize it but compared to before, they were simpler.

They were the pieces to put together a new ship!  Several of them.

Aside from the true goals he outlined for the competition, Lind wanted to introduce what he promised to the higher powers.  He had shown the Babylon Guild his Composite Ships.  He was currently the only person alive that could make them but he was currently testing complexity to see if several cultivators could work together to achieve the same result.

The whirlwind of creation did not stop for weeks but Kexin took the completed storage treasures in awe at his speed.  Even the other elders who had been wondering what Moebius Sect would be putting up were floored as the lists continued to grow.

The reason being they saw the creator listed with the item, it was all their Sect Master!

The man was a monster!
