Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 415 - 414 - Limit of Weaving

Chapter 415 - 414 - Limit of Weaving

Fey fidgeted as she looked at Lind.  She knew him the best next to his wives and right then, she felt the devastation flowing off of him despite his stoic face.  He had struggled and survived so much in over 2 centuries, but to learn he would be forced to stop one way or the other was a blow.

Aon actually looked with some pity at Lind.

As an aether child, he listened to many rumors over the years and he had heard of an impossible human 6 elemental that had received the gift of aether because he saved his brethren's lives.

He had sneered at such stories but they kept coming and more kept happening.  Elixirs and Forging suddenly saw a massive improvement and Rakathi Wastes were suddenly open once more.

The same name kept coming up and it was the man in front of him.

Still, all he felt was pity.

The weak willed cannot survive and those that were stopped by obstructions could not be trusted to rise in the future.  They would all become mediocre and never do anything with themselves even at the Sky Realm.

It was only 1 in 100,000 that could keep rising up if they were lucky.  Of that group, only 1 in 1,000,000 could reach the Heaven Realm.  So many trials and tribulations awaited cultivators that a will of iron was all that could see them through.

"I refuse."  The words were quietly spoken but the dark green eyes shook Aon to his core!  The room suddenly seemed too small as Lind's aura began to rise.  The feeling of loss had been burned but that was not all.

Lind looked at the Sky Core of Daphne and that silvery line was now his enemy.  He would not give up!  He would not yield!

His dantian throbbed with power as his eyes turned into vertical slits.  They glowed with the power of his talents as he stripped away the layers of that binding to see the truth.

If it existed, it could be broken.  That basic truth could not be avoided by anyone, not even the Divine Realm!

Gods could burn, the Heavens would fall, and worlds would die.  Nothing was eternal and nothing could stop him from rising!

His Eyes finally saw very fine sigils making up the silvery line and he studied unlike anything before in his life.  He had faced ghosts wanting to replace him, cannibalistic Immortals, Fiends, and even his future!

He would not be dictated to like a child nor would he yield the future he wished to grasp.

Far above the village, clouds began to gather and far below the surface a large pair of golden eyes looked up out of a heavily wrinkled face.  The massive aether beast almost smiled.

"Break the curse boy, break it for them all!"  The ancient Star Tier had watched over the fledgling weavers but none had been able to overcome the bottleneck.  She could not do it for them but now one had come that might.

Back in the hut, Lind's mind was working faster than it ever had before.  A limit!  There was a bottleneck to weaving!  It was not imposed on anyone, but something else!  He had never faced anything like it in elixir mastery nor Forging but he had suspicions.

The many pieces of weaving he had been able to grasp led him to one conclusion.  There was a limit from Heaven imposed on that profession and only if it could be overcome would one advance!

The sigils were sublime and profound yet so fine that millions could fit on Lind's finger tip.  Compared to even the Immortal weaving in Delenn's alley, all other sigils were garbage!

"I will be stopped by weaving itself?"  Shock flooded Daphne and Aon as they slowly nodded.  The oppressive feeling from Lind finally faded as a new look came over him.  "I wish to learn and I will breakthrough.  I will not stop at tier 3!"

Daphne smiled forlornly at him and Aon could only shake his head in anger.  How many hot shots had claimed the same?  Even Duan once boasted of breaking the curse of weaving, but the restriction had appeared as he mastered just like all the rest.

His anger was in part due to that restriction forming.

The silvery line appeared when a weaver reached grade 3.  They could continue to the peak but they would be stopped at the peak of grade 4.  None of them could make low grade 5 weavings.

Lind listened to the warnings but did not deviate.  He simply summoned all 6 elements as his harmony flared around his body.

"I was told it was impossible many times before.  I will not stop."  It was hard to argue with Lind on that point.  The firm will in his eyes glowed and only Fey relaxed.  She knew her Big Brother.  Even if it took a thousand years, he would find a way.

"Then we need to find you a teacher.  It is a little difficult since you can use all 6 elements."  Daphne was stumped as usually the closet in elements would teach a person but Lind smiled and raised his hands to the whole village.

"Let everyone teach me.  I will study it all!"  Aon looked at Lind like he was an idiot but Daphne pondered his words.  It might work!

"Very well!  Let's begin with little Shelly! She is a grade 1 expert but at the Soul Realm so she can start you with fire, darkness, and air."  Lind nodded but then turned to Fey.

"My companion will be staying with me but she needs an area to train, would that be possible?"  Aon smiled wide that time.

"Absolutely!  I have some brats that would love a good beating!"  Daphne hit him over the head before she blushed in embarrassment.

"He means we have those that would love to learn, if you are willing?"  Fey looked nervous but she saw Lind nod and she accepted.

Lind was firm.  He would not give up.  Simply because someone believed it impossible, did not make it so!  He was living proof and he would do it again!

In the dead of night inside the Tidao Syndicate headquarters, Lady Xin hummed in satisfaction as she looked at her companion in the bed next to her.  Gao now had streaks of dark hair and his wrinkles had receded.

His vigor had also improved which she had no complaint with.

She sat with her breasts exposed for anyone to see if they entered the chambers but she was long past any inhibition against nudity.  A desiccated corpse lay on the floor across the room but she knew Gao simply ignored it at that point.

He had only taken her up on her offer once, but others had noticed of the older generation and he told them to do what they liked but he would monitor closely the 'resources' consumed.

Lady Xin truly appreciated Gao.  Many men and women lost their heads when offered an extension on their lives, but he only took it once and that was enough.

Such iron will was attractive so she continued to enjoy his company while the others had to pay for her service as in the case of the corpse.  She had returned after finishing her meal and jumped Gao immediately.

A side effect of her technique was extreme emotional arousal.  It could be anger, hatred, or anything but at the current moment, it was desire.  Lady Xin had not known she wanted Old Gao that much!

"Sigh, all good things must come to an end."  She kissed his temple as she quickly liquified the corpse to nothing.  She did not want to dirty up his quarters unnecessarily.

As she put on her robes, a bright turquoise necklace glowed.  Her eyes narrowed at that and quickly moved to the main room.  No servants were present at her request as Gao seemed embarrassed at his high skill being known.

Lady Xin smirked as the first night the female servants had stared at Gao hungrily.  Good partners were so rare!

Lady Xin finished wrapping her dark lace robe around her and assumed a lotus position.  To anyone outside her body, it would seem like she was cultivating, but it would also cover any Qi fluctuations as well.

She closed her eyes and a deeper darkness filled her mind.

[You ignore us?]

A dangerously dark tone came from the message but Lady Xin simply smiled and relayed all she had done at the Tidao Syndicate.

Rather than disgust, approval came through.

[You have done well.  Do not get too close to that human or he will die, do you understand?]

Xin frowned at that.  Did they think she was so easy to woo?  Her indignation was also met with approval.

[We have added several names to the list but they are not a priority.  Kill them as you find them.  The former Maiden is the current priority.  She must die.  Do not absorb her soul, destroy it!]

Lady Xin pouted but quickly confirmed.

[Also, do not draw the attention of Lind Frey.  He must remain ignorant.]

The last words stunned her.  Her masters were afraid of a mere Tier 2 Sky Realm?  His potential might be great but that was all it was.  She knew better than most how difficult it was to advance in the Sky Realm to the Heaven Realm.

After all, she was over 3 million years old.
