Chapter 376 - 375 - Changes in the Isles
Chapter 376 - 375 - Changes in the Isles
"Su, I got him!" Mythra danced in her office as she reviewed a jade slip. It was a much more luxurious office compared to others she had, but since she was adopted by Lady Estelle, much had changed for her.
Her wife glanced up from her own desk and frowned at the childish antics of her partner but then smiled at the joy.
"So he is still in the lower world?" Mythra nodded her crimson and green head quickly as she hopped over and shared the information. The isolation wards were plenty powerful enough but Mythra liked making Su blush.
"He succeeded in Ascending like we thought! That weird storm was him!" While Lind had been battling the tribulation in the lower world, the Floating Isles had been cut off. It had completely severed the ascension pools to Indelia as well as any connection by communication jade stones.
The reason was because the Qi was seemingly going crazy in the Floating Isles. It was highly agitated and then streaks of emerald light shot upward giving off a show no one could ever remember seeing in the Isles.
Those that had lived in the lower world, however, were reminded of an event nearly 2 centuries ago. A strange excitation of the Heavens and similar bolts of emerald light appearing across the 3 continents.
Starfire House, having recorded the event before, immediately put Mythra and Su to look into it as the cause was likely the same. The affairs of the lower world were normally nothing to the Floating Isles, but things had changed.
Rumors had begun to spread once connections were restored that a supreme power had fallen! It ancestors and related allies the Floating Isles were irate but they were quite weak in the Isles.
Their grumbling was as far as it went.
What did not go by anyone, however, was the mention of a 6 elemental successfully reaching the Sky Realm. Not even a few months passed before the Sky Realms felt a massive flux of Qi in the lower world.
How many were ascending?!
Mythra had been using old contacts but her prey was now able to seemingly fly with abandon and no trace, but he popped up in the places she expected. She was behind him until the Lotus Empire.
He had been to the Divine Sword Sect, Cimmeria, Petra, and even the Saint Kingdom. The latter he had destroyed by tribulation but she had triple confirmed not a single life was lost. She could not make sense of it until she recalled the wild story of Ethry's Ascension.
She had also used her tribulation to run wild in the Dread Desert. The similarity did not go by her either. Lind had a Divine dragon bloodline! The Heavens made his will manifest even while challenging him!
Now that she had confirmed his path, she knew it was indeed him that made the Floating Isles a mess. Formation masters and many refiners were trying to learn what happened but there was nothing wrong with anything on their end.
It was all the Heavens welcoming a 6 elemental to the world. The streams of emerald light also were a certain number from what she could tell. Based on the count, Lind had once more let his loved ones know he was all right.
Mythra was sad they had not been on the receiving end this time but maybe it was not conscious? Or maybe since he was not believed to be dead, he was not as fervent to relay his existence to his friends?
Whatever the case, the shock of the disruption had shifted many powers of all levels to now focus on Lind Frey and his Moebius Sect. Envoys were waiting for the first to come up the ascension pools, but she knew many were waiting to ensnare the man that seemed to be blazing the trail for them all.
His status as a low Heaven grade 5 master in elixirs and Forging was also a salivating target. Having 2 such professions in one person to such a degree spoke of a monstrous genius many powers would want to snatch up.
The city known simply as Port had become overflowing with powerful experts of the 5th or 7th tier of the Sky Realm. The 8th and 9th tiers were all busy trying to advance to the Heaven Realm or were in seclusion.
They had better things to do but were keeping an ear to the ground if there was a conflict over Lind Frey.
"What will Mother-in-Law want us to do?" Mythra smirked at her beloved's nervous glance around the room. Lady Estelle had been ecstatic when they wed but she insisted that Su call her 'Mom' but Su was always a stickler for the rules.
"I already did it. I sent a message a long time ago to a likely target. Even if Lind does not go there, he will now go to him! I would like to sell tickets to that fight!" Su looked confused for a moment before her face cleared. She even smirked!
"I think I can arrange something, give me a moment." Su pulled out a jade communication stone and Mythra noted it was modified from a lower grade stone. It had been clearly paired with a lower world stone.
"If you are about to tell me I cannot go with my husband, I will crush this rock to dust!" A fierce voice came from the stone but Mythra immediately smiled wide.
"Not at all Junior Callisto, I simply wished to be able to watch." There was a long pause after Su's words but then laughter came through, rich and throaty laughter.
"We have held back moving on all this time, but now, we can finally do what we wish! We will contact Mother and she will be happy to set it up, I am sure." The connection broke as Su and Mythra swiftly lowered the ward and reached out to Lady Estelle.
This event would need a lot of coordination very quickly!

Lind was relaxing in a glade of the wilds in the Lotus Empire. He was in something of a rush but he also wanted to bask in the moment of being home. Once he took care of the last few things in his life down here, he would be moving to the Floating Isles.
He debated on his next few moves as well as one would happen without question but should he put it off until after the other?
Lind looked north and wondered what he should do. He had skipped passed it as he truly wanted to be sure to catch Astrella at home and not have to track her down. She would not appreciate him interrupting a mission no matter the reason.
He was about to take a nap when his instincts seemed to go on alert.
It was not exactly an enemy but his human and draconic instincts agreed he had been targeted. It was from fairly far away, yet somehow they had found him.
He slowly stood up and summoned a staff from his ring. The staff was one of the few creations of low Heaven grade 5 that could withstand his Qi. The others would work for a short time but then burn out.
He was far stronger than he imagined or his creations needed a lot of work. Probably a mix of both.
He was about to take off when he used air and earth to instantly shove off to the east. The glade he had been relaxing in was then destroyed by a massive impact. Lind took up a battle stance but then he felt something familiar.
Out of the plume of dust and plants came laughter.
"HA HA HA! I found you! I knew I would find you around here!" A voice he had not heard in quite some time made Lind nearly roll his eyes. It would seem the decision was made for him.
A demon emerged with dark lavender skin and a wide smile. His fine battle robes were not even messed up by his full force landing. Lind had not seen Ryu in some time but he had assumed he would have moved on long ago.
His potential was always high, yet he was just barely at the peak of tier 1. Lind was about to speak when he used his staff to deflect sword intent of lethal potential. Now, he truly rolled his eyes as he looked up to find a nearly crazed smile on Callisto.
If ever there were 2 people that should never meet, it was these 2. They were just fuel to each other's fire for battle. The normally cool headed King of Darkmoor would release his full battle maniac side around her.
They were notoriously happy with each other, which Lind was glad about, but their one wish since knowing him was to fight him. They wanted an even playing field and apparently, they had held back their cultivation to achieve their dream.
They also somehow seemed to know he was nearby.
"We cannot possibly fight here. We would level the entire Lotus Empire." Lind was not exaggerating. A battle between Sky Realms could easily destroy a country the size of the Lotus Empire.
Ryu waved off the concern as he tossed a jade slip to Lind. He caught it and sunk his senses into it. He frowned deeply at the contents but smirked as he glanced at Callisto.
"You negotiated to sneak attack me while he gets to deliver the message from Mythra and Su?" The Queen consort nodded emphatically.
Lind was about to try to calm them both down when a Gold Tier aura flared in the distance. It was followed by a piercing voice.
"MOTHER AND FATHER! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THE PALACE WITHOUT EVEN A MESSAGE! YOU WILL BOTH COME BACK THIS INSTANT!" Lind then saw a shocking scene as both Callisto and Ryu both flinched and then seemed to hide!
They actually hid behind Lind of all people!
"How did she find us?!" Ryu's crimson eyes, once so firm and full of life, were now trembling in frustration. Callisto's silver eyes seemed to reflect the same! They were afraid of their own child?!
"What is–" Before Lind could ask, a massive floating platform came into view. Its speed was about the same as a Sky Realm. Lind noted the fine arrays and well refined metals incorporated with what looked like grendel wood.
It was a rare wood found only in the deepest reaches of the wilds in Darkmoor but the requirements to let it flourish were very difficult. It required almost no sunlight, and a high intensity of Qi of demonic shadow Qi while a sliver of light Qi still got into it.
It was a massive amount but an excellent material for boats or flying artifacts.
A gorgeous demoness with dark lavender skin and piercing silver eyes was livid. She had hair that was so dark blue it was nearly black. Her battle leathers were peak grade 4 as well.
The massive broadsword on her back was black with serrated edges. It was a vicious weapon but the woman seemed more than capable of using it. Lind also was impressed by her power. She likely could fight Diamond Tiers without issue.
"You there! Tell those 2 idiots to stop cowering and get back to work!" Lind tried to suppress his smile but he could not help it! He had been bothered for centuries by Ryu telling him to catch up so they could fight.
Hell, there was even a time Callisto stormed into Moebius Sect and offered to seal her cultivation to fight him. Ethry had chased them away on more than one occasion!
Now, he found their weakness! His laughter garnered dark looks from the 2 rulers of Darkmoor Kingdom.
"I am not joking! Move, or I will make you move!" Lind tried to comply but found grips as strong as steel holding onto his robes. He now glared at them as if they were children.
"Fine, you want to be difficult, then you will get your wish to face me!" Lind's aura skyrocketed as his flesh turned to emerald scales and his eyes became vertical slits. Before anyone could react, the 2 demons were tossed into the air!
"And behave! You have a fine daughter!" Lind bowed before 2 more auras flashed. He sighed before he turned to find both of them coming back at him. Before they could come too close, he vanished.
He reappeared next to the girl on the artifact. She nearly jumped but he then smiled up at them as he turned back into a human. His look clearly said, 'Your move.'
Both rulers were incensed but now it was their daughter's turn to smirk. She said nothing and only pointed. The 2 supposed adults sulked and landed on the artifact before it swiftly turned and set out for Darkmoor Palace.
Lind chose to stay with them to make it easier and would see if he could resolve this wish of his old friends.
