Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 374 - 373 - Unfettered

Chapter 374 - 373 - Unfettered

Lind felt power rippling in his larger body.  He was a mix of dragon and human at the moment but it was not as much of a strain as before.  He suspected that would change in the Floating Isles with higher quality Qi all around him, but he relished the current moment.

He had not expected to reach the peak of Tier 1 so quickly, but it was a welcome surprise.  The final rejuvenation bolt of lightning did far more for his soul compared to his body.  His body was just fine all on its own!

The injuries were repaired before the naked eye as new scales grew to replace the ones shattered in his shoulders and arms from the lightning dragon tribulation.

When he opened his vertically slit eyes, he was stunned at how much detail he could now pick out at an amazing distance.  He could almost see Nadia's boat but it was hundreds of kilometers away!

His Heaven Eyes had improved as well as he could pick out profound patterns that were only fuzzy to him before.  He wished to test them against peak grade 5 items quickly but his Heaven Touch was truly stunning.

With a simple wave of his hands, he collected massive amounts of Qi as if it was his to play with!

"How am I flying?"  Lind spoke the question but froze as his voice was very guttural and even he could barely understand it.  A clawed hand came to his throat but he would guess he could not speak in his current form normally.

Delenn had told him that only Immortals could convey intent to the sounds they made so he would have to think on this issue for later.

He could not be unable to communicate in battle!

Ethry might understand him but that was for later.

His soul rejoiced as the wind whipped his long mane of emerald hair.  He had flown before but after being scolded by senior dragon soul, he could still feel the restraint in it.  His soul defied the restrictions but the chains were still heavy.

Now, there were no more chains!  His soul could fly without issue and not even drain his Qi!  Was that how Ethry felt?

Still, he could not maintain his new form forever.  That was draining Qi rather quickly and despite the high quality of his Sky Core, he was only tier 1.

Suddenly, he was concerned about his storage ring but was stunned to find it had expanded to accommodate his new finger size!  How had it done that?  He had never heard of a storage treasure that could also change its external size.

It proved the ring was far more than it appeared to Lind's mind.

He was about to release his body transformation when his eyes narrowed.

"It seems they have not had enough."  Lind looked at the rising humans from the ruins of the city.  He was happy to see no one was dead.  The tribulation had indeed accommodated him as he ascended.

He removed their foundation but he then realized the Sky Realms flying up to meet him had no weapons or artifacts.  Some of their robes were also torn in strange ways before he realized there was not an ounce of Qi that was not generated by their dantians.

Their items and formations were all destroyed as well?

He quickly scanned the crowd but found none of them in such straits.  Why were the Sky Realms singled out?

Lind then realized it.  He had faced a progenitor ascension into the Sky Realm.  Any grade 5 or peak grade 4 items on similar cultivators resonated with the elements as he was a 6 elemental.

While the Moebius Sect produced weapons, armor, and artifacts more inline with Lind's elemental theories, the majority of Sky Realms did not have those.  The old items could not withstand being so close to such a tribulation.

It had not been his intention but it made him smile.

The humans approaching froze as the smile on the half dragon man looked like a predator spying its favorite prey.

Lind waited for them to get closer before he crossed his arms and seemed to float in mid-air as if leaning against a bar.  It looked odd to most but the arrogance was clear.

"Lind Frey, monster revealed at last!  How dare you endanger our citizens!"  An older man was shouting as his pale face turned nearly purple as he screamed.  There were other men and women nodding with him but it did not seem to faze Lind at all.

He counted about 20 Sky Realms which was not bad at all but there were only a few more Sky Realms in the entirety of the Saint Kingdom.

He flared his aura and all of them flinched.  Some were close to peak tier 1, but Lind felt like a giant aether beast of myth and legend of the higher realms.  His reptilian eyes were cold but he made no move to harm them.

His scaly body glistened under the sun before it suddenly vanished!

None of them could trace his movements before one of them glanced down.  Lind had seemingly appeared among the weeping mortals who quailed in his presence.  An emerald glow flared as he began to shrink until the familiar human reappeared.

Dirty blonde hair was much longer now and thicker, but his sculpted muscles were clear before a crimson robe covered him once more.  His dark green eyes seemed profound as he looked at the people around him.

"I apologize for disturbing your lives.  I had no intention to face my tribulation in this place but my life has been targeted and implicated my friends.  It threatened innocent lives in Petra across the Fortune Way."  Lind spoke calmly but all the Sky Realms flinched at each of his words as they knew the truth.

"They also, quite frankly, do not treat you well enough."  Those words made the mortals perk up.  A mighty cultivator apologized to them and then addressed a grievance many of them had.

Those without any potential to cultivate were little better than slaves in the Saint Kingdom.  They were fodder or playthings and they assumed there was no other way.

Lind moved towards them with a warm smile before he started to distribute grade 1 elixirs and some food.  Nothing else he had was safe but the Sky Realms could only stare as the perpetrator of all the destruction started to win over his victims!

"Arrogance!  How dare you try to buy loyalty!"  Another man screamed who was in tatters of a blue robes but Lind ignored them as he kept moving from one group to the next.  His speed was insane!

Before they even thought to descend, Lind had gathered a rather large group of people.

"Leave our people alone!  You have no power here!"  Lind continued to ignore their shouts while he healed some children that had broken limbs from years ago.  He asked for nothing as he fed and cared for them.

"You think we will just let you do what you want?!"  A woman with violet hair summoned a flaming lance and darkness blade, but Lind merely glanced at them before he waved his hands and the 2 Arts dispersed into the air.

"If you truly give a damn about your people, help me."  Lind then turned back to the growing crowd and organized them.  Lind did not ignore his role in making these people homeless.

Cultivators started to show up, but Lind did not ignore them.  He only gave less as they had their storage items and other accessories intact.  Even a peak Diamond Tier seemed to have kept all they owned intact.

Some were timid with their superiors looming over them but Lind did not discriminate.

He had destroyed the city, so he was responsible for all of them, even the now bereft Sky Realms.  He disdained them, but they were no longer a threat to him.  He felt it in his heart.

As he worked, more Sky Realms began to arrive.  Darkmoor, Heavenly Maidens, Divine Sword Sect, and even a few itinerant cultivators were stunned to see the capital of the Saint Kingdom reduced to ash.

They saw the Sky Realms of the Saint Kingdom were paupers as Lind Frey, the most wanted man in the world, was caring for lower realms.  He was also a Sky Realm!

The Maidens were frustrated but Lind then looked up and his aura flared.

Peak tier 1!

"I did this, I was hunted and chose my vengeance as this.  If you have a problem, I am happy to face the consequences but for now, help me with these people."  The Maidens and Divine Swords nodded and descended to the consternation of the Saint Kingdom Sky Realms.

Darkmoor demons smiled wide but then a hard stare from Lind made them shiver and they descended as well.  There were slaves that were now freed but did not know what to do.  A few were true criminals that were easy to identify by their actions and were punished.

It took a month to corral all the residents before Lind addressed them.

"I am Lind Frey.  I chose to respond to the bounties on my head in this way.  I have destroyed the foundation of the Saint Kingdom.  As of today, it is dead."  The destitute Sky Realms were angry but they had lost all spirit as they saw their competitors siding with Lind Frey.

The other continents had finally sent representatives but as soon as Lind Frey spoke, they obeyed.  The Moebius Sect sent a single Sky Realm and Tessa had wept to see him again.

He had imprinted many jade slips for the sect and promised to return before he left for the Floating Isles.

"I must take responsibility and if you are willing, I believe I can take you to a place that will accept you.  Or, you can stay here if you wish and I will personally supply resources to secure a future for yourselves."  His statement made many nod in agreement.  While the full story of the bounties placed on him made his response barely acceptable, his accepting responsibility cemented his status.

It took a year to sort out those that wished to go out on their own, but the vast majority of the mortals wanted to follow him.

All were stunned as Lind began to carve sigils into the very air before a massive weaving was made.  Tessa stood next to him as space distorted before all of them vanished from the ruins of the former Saint Kingdom capital.

The Sky Realms had long since left to find any personal caches that were far away from the city.  The Saint Kingdom was gone.  The massive amount of resources had been burnt to ash and no one could rebuild it without something to stand on.

Lind did not leave things to chance and imposed the Stardust Emporium to stop war from breaking out.  As they had such power, they kept the peace and Lind compensated with elixirs and Forged items.

What had been a supreme power became a patchwork of other powers but there was little bloodshed.  The vast devastation of the capital made even the bandits keep a low profile as they had no wish to draw Lind Frey's eye.

The world was disturbed from its slumber as not long after, the Dread Desert was full of Ascension Tribulations of terrifying power!

The Moebius Sect had 6 elemental Sky Realms!
