Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 358 - 357 - Moebius Sect Reborn

Chapter 358 - 357 - Moebius Sect Reborn

Dust fell from his ceiling for quite a while as entire shelves collapsed in his office, but the tower still stood at the heart of the Moebius Sect.  Where once he had a long view in all directions if he wished, there was now a towering range of mountains on one side with a dark low land on the other.

It had worked!

"All Elders, move as planned to repair and heal any that need it.  No charge and no issue ignored.  Kexin, do a rundown on our resources as we discussed."  The last line was code but all the crystals were still lit up as the formation powered down.

"Heads of each Hall, report any critical issues of repairs but make do otherwise.  We will have a meeting in 2 days."  His jade stone was sending his voice to all his Elders and hall heads to get them moving.  It was not all it could do.

He touched one of the formations and the Moebius strip appeared in the air above his tower.  The formations still worked!

"Moebius Sect.  We have taken a drastic step to save the sect from further issues.  Our old location was a disaster waiting to happen with current issues.  We are now on the Rith Continent.  If anyone is injured, help is on the way.  If anything is damaged, the same help is coming.  Never fear, we are now in our new home and we will keep rising!"  Lind felt a bit cheesy saying some of the words, but he had many lessons that sometimes a leader had to project confidence.

It was a strange relationship a leader had with his followers that when they panic, a stable leader could calm them better than any tangible results.  His long history also helped.  Lind then felt the strength go out of his legs as arms caught him.

"Papa worked hard."  Lind smiled as Tal led him to a couch that was fairly clear now after their massive teleportation.  It was something that was easily possible in the Divine Realm according to Dierdra but only done to secure resources unclaimed that needed massive defense very quickly.

Rather than slowly build up a branch or fortress, the power would lay down a swap formation.  It required a lot of resources but they were relatively easy to find in the Divine Realm lands.

Lind had many of such resources but had practically exhausted them to pull off the swap.  Most of what he had left were elixirs, Forged items, and a few little tricks after that.  He already had plans in place that were being enacted but one was being done where the Conclave once stood.

The Sapphire Auction House would own the land and control it for the Stardust Emporium as a hub of trade.  He had no doubt the actions would be sped up massively but Lind had secured the land for them first.

It also allowed him to justify sending forces across the oceans to start building the duplicate array.  As senior dragon soul had warned, the teleportation swap was not something easily done in a mortal realm for more reasons than resources, the fragility of the realm would easily appear as space was torn apart.

It required Lind to add a few arrays of protection on his end and he was glad he did.

"Everything is safe in the Demonic Heart!"  Kexin came running in but nearly stumbled over the mess of the office.  Lind smiled at her exertion but felt exhaustion catching up to him.

"Good, keep an eye on it and expand it as you like.  We now have access to natural demonic treasures too so we will begin to harvest some later."  Kexin nodded but seemed to be pouting that she could not cross the room.

"Elder Wyndam may faint when he sees this."  Lind could only smile at her words as sleep claimed him for after a long struggle.  The work was only beginning but he would give a lot to be a fly on some walls at that moment.

"How is that possible?!"  At the moment Lind was peacefully resting, those words were starting several conversations in many halls of power.

Darkmoor Kingdom was both amused and took it seriously.  They made plans to strengthen their ties to Moebius Sect further but their teleportation arrays were all broken at the moment.  It was clear it had moved to Rith but its exact spot was unknown even to them.

The Divine Sword Sect, for a strange twist of events, was in the same mental space as Darkmoor Kingdom.  Unlike them, however, they had contact with their counterparts in the tower and shops they still occupied in the sect.

They were one of the few powers to quickly know that Moebius Sect was now located on the western slopes of the Demon's Teeth.  A very good location as well as it led directly to the lowlands of the former Demon Empire.

The other power to know was, of course, Starfire House that lit a fierce wave of men, women, and resources to quickly build up the new port they were building in Rith.  The flow of goods was going to be far more important than they had planned!

The newly created powers of Rakathi also seemed to know the Moebius Sect would be heading to Rith but all that changed was the destination of their next round of potential disciples.  There was still a very high birth rate of 6 elementals in those lands but now they could travel freely!

The 2 powers left completely in the dark had drastically different reactions.

"How can it just vanish into thin air?!  What about those vaunted spies of yours?!"

"ME?!  What about you?!  You claimed to have Moebius Sect soon under control!  How is that plan going?!"

"It has to be an illusion!  That aether child witch could do it!"

The council gathering was chaotic.  Voices enhanced by Qi or artifact tried to be heard over others but it only added to the clear breakdown in Hogath Citadel.  The treaty sword remained stuck in the dome as no one dared touch it.

Sword intent, possibly sword aura, was pulsating on it so it was suicide to touch it.

"The guild master was right, they are just puffed up fools here."  A quiet, slim girl whispered to her companion.  They both had dark blue cloaks covering their features but a symbol was clear on their back.

They were from the Marina Adventure Guild.

"Guild Master Nadia has a very high opinion of Lind Frey.  She is threatening to retire to follow him."  The other cloaked being was male but just as slim as the girl.  If anyone thought they were weak would be in for a severe amount of pain.

They were simply known as 'The Twins' in the circles that dealt with the guild, but others knew them as Bloody Wrath.  They were infamous but respected as they always produced results.  They were acting as bodyguards but the fool they were guarding was one of the people shouting.

"Don't tempt fate little brother."  The girl made some kind of sign against evil spirits but the boy turned his hood to her.

"I am not tempting fate, but you are.  I am the older brother, not the younger."  A giggle came from the girl as her slim hand appeared.  It was tightly corded muscle but it moved with an elegance that mesmerized all that caught sight of it.

"I know you are older, I said 'little.'"  The hand patted his head before he brushed it off.  The same tightly corded kind of arm but a feeling of violence came from the sight that the same observers shudder.

"Enough!  We need to keep doing our job."  They looked back at the chaos and sighed as they saw their employer currently fighting someone twice their size.  No weapons were drawn but that is what they were paid for.  They saw their counterparts, he looked just as frustrated as they felt while moving into the crowd.

Lady Chyou felt herself age just listening to the reports.  Unlike the chaos in the lower mortal realm, her austere office was the picture of calm.  There were several Vice-Sect Masters reporting via jade stone projection.

The Sarth Headquarters was their main lower world branch while Lady Chyou led the Floating Isle's branch.  For all their power, she could see the slap to the face their sect master made them all take at that moment.

The future potential of Lind Frey hinged on his progress but he just showed them that he was to be measured by more than normal means.

"You are certain it was a Territorial Swap Formation?"  She asked the question once more but the Vice-Sect Master in the Heaven Realm could only nod slowly via projection once more.

"Your description and analysis leave no other alternative.  It is a very advanced and resource intensive endeavor for us, but to do it in a mortal realm reveals without doubt the benefits he achieved in the Divine Inheritance."  The reminder of that only shook them all more.

"I think that was the point."  A voice spoke out but it was not from a projection.  A woman with blue skin and vertically slit golden eyes stepped forward and bowed to Lady Chyou.  She waved her wrinkled hand for her to continue.

"Seniors, I am Tyr.  Of all the elders of the lower world, I have the most contact with Master Frey.  I am also the master of 2 of his wives."  The room seemed to become tense at that admission as losing 3 wonderful candidates due to the order of their sect master had hurt.

"Lind Frey is not a man to anger easily.  He can become frustrated, but true anger is rare.  I have only seen a similar action once before, when he destroyed an entire backwater kingdom while saving the populace."  Some nodded as they recalled that detail but Lady Chyou frowned.  Where was Tyr going?

"Are you implying we made him angry?"  The higher Vice-Sect Master seemed to become cold but Tyr did not seem bothered.

"On the contrary, I think it was the Fiends that made him angry.  We simply pushed him while he was down.  He was demonstrating to any agents watching what level of knowledge he can not only use but teach quickly.  The latter should be more terrifying for everyone."  A sudden realization passed through them all.

They had overlooked that fact!

A massive formation could not be hidden entirely, but functions could be inferred based on other powers using them.  Profound defenses or attack formations could be recognized but something on the level of that formation would be instantly noted as standing out.

The amount of time was barely a few months since the war ended and Lind Frey had implemented a massive formation that took hundreds of people to get it to work!  His ability to teach was one facet all knew but underestimated.

The former Kingdom of Altair had made that mistake and now so had they!

"He is telling us, I will use the knowledge if you make me.  Do not make me."  Tyr then bowed and returned to her position at the outer wall of the office.  Lady Chyou looked at her ancient hands and wondered at the foolishness of youth, but she could not fault the tactic.

In one move, Lind Frey had demonstrated now only his level of knowledge but also his resolve.  It also showed the resolve of his followers.

She looked imploringly at the Heaven Realm Vice-Sect Master and was pleased to see worry on her face.

"Please inform the Sect Master.  We will abide by her decision."  Lady Chyou's words were seemingly clear but demanding the Sect Master be informed was a warning.

Lind Frey was a monster and we can be his friend, or his enemy.  Choose wisely!
