Chapter 331 - 330 - Future Plans
Chapter 331 - 330 - Future Plans
The meeting had a rough start but the 4 brides of Lind Frey finally relented as they stepped back. The representative of the Blood Sect looked centuries older but he eventually recovered.
"Now that we have revealed all our information, I believe we can all agree that Rakathi held some very interesting things. A roc and a stone dral should never have existed in a mortal realm but the oases that formed were equally alien to it." An elderly peak Sky Realm woman rose from the Heavenly Maidens.
Lady Chyou was the current head of the Heavenly Maidens Sect in the Floating Isles. She had blazed a path in the mortal realm but had suffered a grave injury that halted her progress at the Sky Realm.
Even so, her body was full of power and any fool that thought she was weakened would only find death at her hands. Her bright white hair nearly blended perfectly with her robes while a large golden symbol of her sect was on the center of her chest.
The demons showed respect to her as did the aether beasts.
"From what was requested of us, it is not a one off event. The conditions inside the storm created a Qi rich environment that allowed far higher order beasts to emerge despite the harsh conditions over most of the land." A lithe beastman stood up to speak. Unlike the previous member, he had very refined human features. It was difficult to place his species but the slitted eyes showed him to be a reptile with how cold they were.
If he was warm blooded, the eyes would be a bit more emotive. There was also his habit of flicking his tongue which leaned towards a snake.
He was known only as Shale.
His skin was rosy which belied the name but the golden eyes seemed to suck all the light out of a room if he was angry. His hair also shined so it was likely made of scales and a weapon.
His robes were not as skin tight as some beasts either, which reptiles preferred loose clothing to restrictive kinds.
Chyou nodded as the discoveries were ongoing even weeks after the storms dispersed, but that was not the reason for the meeting.
"Are we going to discuss what that boy has done or not?" A demoness that had blood red hair stood up. She was not seductive but her curves were impossible to ignore. Her very breath seemed to entrance all who looked at her. The body length hair seemed to hide in her blood red robes.
Weapons were impossible to see but Sanguisa was well known for her vicious attacks. It was said her robe was once white but had been dyed by the blood of her vanquished foes. She was Sliver Tier Heaven Realm.
The reason Chyou was there was due to the fact so many Sliver Tiers had been voicing their desire to attend. While the Maidens could send their own, the Sect Mistress spoke of the seriousness of their position regarding Lind Frey.
Sanquisa's pale violet eyes nearly blended with her lavender skin. They seemed warm but Chyou knew there was no soul behind that mask of beauty. The demoness was not sadistic but she never killed anyone without drawing a lot of blood from them.
"If you mean about Lord Skinwalker's Inheritance, then we have confirmed it is gone, but that does not mean Lind Frey inherited the legacy from it." That was why they were having the meeting. It was why many Sky Realms had often tried to brave the storm from supreme powers.
They all had records of the Divine Inheritance that had suddenly appeared millions of years ago. It was a benevolent one in that failed attempts were only driven off without any harm aside from some memory loss of their attempt.
Even trying again was allowed, but it was now gone.
It had not become a Ruin and there were tools to confirm it had moved on to become a new world. That was not all, the area had been clearly tidied up by Divine Realm cultivators.
Their aura was still there despite the storm's power.
"Skinwalker was a legend. If Lind Frey has truly inherited his legacy, as could be evidenced by the 2 World Realm beasts with him, this is not a small matter!" Shale was quite impassioned but the calculating look in his eyes was not missed by anyone.
The clear advantage certain bloodlines could take using the transformation technique early was clear. Aether beasts could begin formal cultivation training far earlier.
They could increase their power considerably and if the technique awoke intelligence earlier, it was terrifying how much power aether beasts could gather everywhere in the mortal realm.
"The stone dral is but a child. It refuses to answer any questions without Lind Frey's permission. If we were to guess, she is barely 40 years old, if that. The roc, on the other hand, seems to have a century at least under her belt. She, however, states that she knows nothing of Lord Skinwalker save he somehow allowed her to be with Lind Frey." A new voice spoke up from the beasts.
It was a half woman, half snake but Shale seemed disgusted by her.
"As always, your matron is quick to organize information, Ashosia." Chyou narrowed her gaze at the woman that looked like a lamia. A quick look in her memory pointed to what she actually was. An Illusion Python.
They were a rather reclusive species of the Voracious Jungle Isle. It was a place only the brave or stupid went to. The brave if they wished to challenge themselves and the stupid to become food for the beasts there.
Shale was right, the matron of the Illusion Pythons was often known to have information far above many others. Many information brokers worked for her and likely did not even know it!
"The point that you all keep dancing around is that not only has Lind Frey possibly inherited a Divine Legacy but he has also brought 6 elementals up to the Diamond Tier. Surely you have all seen how his sect has worked so far?" Sanguisa brought up a point they had indeed all overlooked.
The Moebius Sect had risen to power on par with the other supreme powers in less than a century. In part that was due to the respect Lind Frey had earned by revealing a horrible threat to all.
The rest, however, was due to the alliances he built over a century as Sect Master. He had invited cultivation powers to give him potential elixir masters, Forgers, and 6 elementals to teach them to the best of his ability.
Some returned to their powers to plant more seeds and the end result was a power that rose far higher than any believed possible with only Iron Tiers as its elders and Sect Master.
That had now changed.
While Lind had left his vice sect master in charge, he was still the sect master. He could not bring all his Iron Tier to not only Gold Tier, but eventually to Diamond Tier. If it proceeded like before, the 6 elementals would explode in power once again.
It was the strange oddity that once they overcame their advancement issues, the power contained in the 6 elementals was always far more than their counterparts in the same realm. It put them at the doorstep of the Floating Isles!
The final issue the demoness pointed out was the legacy of Lord Skinwalker. If Lind Frey had that in his hands, the aether beast powers of the Floating Isles would happily welcome the man anywhere. They would offer anything to garner his favor.
It came to the fact that the current world they had lived in for billions of years was about to be disrupted in one way or the other.
"Until he proves he can progress others, the legacy is more pressing." Lady Chyou's words made everyone slowly nod. The theory of what Lind Frey could do with 6 elementals was still dependent on the ability of others to comprehend his lessons.
The vast majority of cultivators were proof that was not always possible. If everyone could advance without issue, the Floating Isles would be bursting due to overpopulation.
"My sect currently is caring for him and his companions but we also have access to those that understand him better than anyone else can." Lady Chyou pointed to the 4 women seated in her section.
The previous display of power made all of them look with respect to them. If Lind Frey was able to marry such powerful women, then he must be far more capable than some had evaluated him.
"Seniors, while we can understand some of your concerns, we must ask. What exactly do you expect from Lind?" Cyntilla's voice cut across the room. She kept her tone respectful as there were many Heaven Realms present looking at them now.
The momentum from before had been caused by the strangely weak willed beastman but now they were juniors addressing seniors.
Her question gave pause to even Sanguisa. What exactly did they want from Lind Frey?
It was possible to bring a Diamond Tier up to the Floating Isles. He could still spread his knowledge but direct teaching would be difficult. His status as an elixir master and Forger were as respected up there as down in the lower world.
The demoness was about to speak when an unknown aura descended. The most powerful being in the Floating Isles could only be a Sliver Tier Heaven Realm. The current aura was at the very peak of that tier.
"I find it disheartening that you all try to have a meeting about Lind Frey without me." A woman's voice suddenly came from the center of the meeting room. The various seats surrounded a large open area where cultivators could stand to speak.
In that spot, the space was torn open and a very old woman came through. She was only a Sky Realm but the young man with her was the source of the aura. While most would deride an upstart junior from breaking into a meeting, the individual was rather special.
The 4 brides bowed low with smiles on their faces.
"At least you 4 are respectful, what, did the rest of you forget how to welcome me?" Lady Estelle was brash as always. There were many organizations that held auctions but Starfire House had risen due to its deep foundation in the lower world.
The flow of resources, information, and generally getting the jump on opportunities made them become a power very few would dream of crossing. They did not have an island to themselves but it spoke of their power that they could carve out a massive place from an already established one.
"I see you still slave away for that old crow, Starpiercer." Sanquisa took a stab at the young man next to Estelle but he made no response. He was human, but a rare one. He had the physique that Free Locus Physique. It was the name given to those born naturally with the ability to manipulate space.
Darkness and Earth were always their elements but like aether children, they had innate skills no one could replicate. Imagine being able to teleport at the Soul Realm without consequence and the frightening power of the Free Locus Physique was clear.
Estelle had protected Starpiercer when he was very young but rumor had it he put off elevating to the Heaven Realm lands to keep being with Estelle.
"You seem to be needing more makeup these days, Mistress of Blood. Losing our looks, are we?" Estelle's face was cold but it was only matched by Sanquisa's. "Anyway, I think you all are idiots. All the details and plans you are trying to make, you missed the most important thing my daughter brought to my attention. His badges."
Three jade slips were teleported directly to Lady Chyou, Shale, and Sanquisa without any issue. It only took a moment before all 3 leaders had their auras flare in shock.
"So tell me, just what were you going to do to a low Heaven Grade 5 elixir master and Forger again?" Cackling laughter came from Estelle as if she had just said the greatest joke in the world.
Grade 5 would have already been in high demand in the Floating Isles but a Heave grade master was unheard of. Any doubts Lind Frey had not been in the Divine Inheritance were lifted but at the same time, none of them even dreamed of trying to control him.
The moment they tried to monopolize him, their superiors from above would send Slivers to retrieve Lind Frey from them. The guilds above were far more powerful like a supreme sect. Any future plans had just been dashed by Lady Estelle's revelations and they also knew she had an excellent relationship with him.
Things were going to change, the whole of the cultivation world was about to change. They could all feel it and could only wait for Lind Frey to wake up.
