Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 276 - 275 - Support of Tur

Chapter 276 - 275 - Support of Tur

Steaming tea greeted the slim form of Princess Lysanna.  She had pale blue hair with amber eyes.  Her skin was the color of a pleasant rose to Lind.  She was a Stone Tier but soon to be Iron Tier.

Her cultivation had been in the Soul Realm when he arrived but her and her little brother, Wyndan, had become his first real connection when he founded the sect.  The realm spirit had gifted him some formations that Annabelle absorbed and implemented to create a supreme Qi gathering and protection for his sect.

He had invited the royal family to benefit from it and Wyndan had broken through as a 6 elemental.  Lind had helped the young boy at first but now the prince was creating true 6 elemental Arts.

His mind was stunning to Lind.

Lind studied existing Arts and learned how to improve them for all elements but true 6 elemental Arts had not been explored by  him.  Wyndan did explore and create them.  He had helpers, of course, but the boy was a gift from the Heavens.

Princess Lysanna had been visiting the sect since its founding to benefit for her cultivation and lately to bother Lind.  She seemed to enjoy bothering him!

"Master Frey!  Ah, um, hello Alchemist Mira."  Lysanna had been irreverent but became respectful when she saw Mira.  Lind rolled his eyes but Ethry stared at the Princess which made her nervous.

"Big Sister Ethry, hello too!"  Ethry nodded but then sat in Lind's lap.  He ruffled her hair which made both girls blush.  Mira laughed but made no comment.

"Welcome, Lysanna.  Is there an issue I need to address?"  Princess Lysanna insisted Lind use only her first name for the last 50 years.  It was still a bit strange to think the young girl in front of him was barely 88 years old.

A sharp look from his mother made him sweat as he carefully buried any thoughts about a woman's age.

"Ah, no, Master Frey.  My father wanted you to know your shipment arrived and is on the way now."  Lind perked up.  He had quietly gathered herbs, cores, and ores for when he was healed but now he needed catalysts for his current work.

His badges were still at the peak of grade 4 for elixirs and high grade 3 for Forging.  His mother had certified he could experiment 5 years ago and he had Tur help gather his materials quietly.

It helped that many of the elixir masters and Forgers were catching up to him so the requests were not odd.  Still, he appreciated their discretion.

"Good!  Please join us."  Lind made a cup of tea for Lysanna and she smiled wide as she sat next to Mira.  Lind felt Ethry frown but he patted her head and she was happy enough.

She may have matured a bit, but she was still very young.

They chatted for quite a while before Mira dragged Ethry away.  Her pouting face made Lind laugh as he waved at her.  His mother was somewhat strict with Ethry on some things like time spent with him.

Princess Lysanna seemed to quietly drink tea after their party was reduced to just them.  Lind then summoned a new scroll and laid it out on the table.

"Your brother has created a new Stone Tier Art."  Lysanna smiled at last and looked at the new Art inscribed on the scroll.  She loved her brother dearly and Lind's sect had guided him into the Sand Tier only a few years ago.

"He is so smart!"  She spoiled him but Lind agreed with her words.  The Arts he created were genius.  Lind had created storms according to the Relic where he broke through but Wyndam created real Arts.

The Sundering Sands was a good example.  Wyndam had taken the sand storm Lind explained and created a devastating area of attack Art.  It created stinging winds with bolts of lightning smashing into targets.

Lind had to create negative ions and some other beneficial conditions to replicate it, but the Art eliminated such steps.

He appreciated the Arts more as they cut down conjuring time by at least 60 to 70%.  Still, Lind's application of science was far more powerful than any Art he had studied until Wyndam created his first 6 elemental Art.

The Arts had somewhat similar effects but compared to them, they generated at least 2 to 4 times the power of other Arts.

"How is he doing?"  Lind slightly changed the topic but he knew Lysanna was a massively overprotective sister.  Her smile lit up as she practically hopped in her seat.

"He has become so powerful now!  He even has some ideas about harmonies he will be bringing you next month after studying how the Arts change from one person to another."  Lind smirked behind his hand at her bragging.  Wyndam had mentioned something similar in their last meeting, but the prince was the kind of person that liked data to point to.

For instance, Wyndam's harmony was a somber orange in color and he was the baseline for all 6 elemental Arts.  Sometimes a crimson harmony had better results with destructive Arts but a similar color harmony could have better results in defensive Arts.

Both of them even thought the colors of harmony may be indicative of something fundamental beyond the balance of the 6 elements each person comes to.  Lind was more interested in that aspect than Wyndam, but it could help his Arts creation so he was not ignoring it.

"I thank you once again for trusting him so much.  Father is so proud and mother is…he he…her last tea party the noble houses were actually sick of hearing about my brother so much!"  Lind giggled at that.

Tur was a cultivation kingdom, but before his arrival, it had what Earth would call traditional problems.  Nobles tried to vye for power, sometimes even trying to usurp the royal family, but cultivation issues usually stopped that cold.

The political game of one upmanship was much stronger in the lower powered kingdoms like that.  No one really had anything tangible, they simply liked to brag about their latest success.

When Lind was awarded the land for his sect, he made a point to connect to the King and his family.  When he learned Wyndam was a 6 elemental, he immediately extended an invitation to the boy.

Before, the prince was very reserved and seemed to have no interest in the things his fellow nobles were.  He did not go hunting, he did not go trolling for women, and he did not engage in the minor political games of his generation.  At the sect, however, he smiled, laughed, and dove into research almost as much as Lind.

It was about the same time that Lysanna came around much more as well and the 2 siblings seemed to become much closer openly than before.

"I am glad you are all doing so well.  Your support over the last 90 years has been important to me."  Lind was being serious.  While the supreme powers backed him subtly and overtly, but the locals would not have been receptive without the help of the royal family.

Lind had his mission hall set up with a large swath of local missions for points to be used in the sect.  The trust built up in the last 90 years was largely thanks to the king and his court authorizing the interactions in the early days.

Lind made sure to raise the quality of life in the villages and towns outside the capital of Tur also.  The complete lack of bandits helped but Lind never assumed it would stay that way forever so protections had been added to main roads and many local roads.

"We hardly had to do much.  Your reputation was already well earned."  Lind waved off the compliment as he glanced out the large window.  He could see a few towers from his office that held the main foundation for running elixir masters and Forgers.

Lessons, materials, and areas to practice were inside those towers.  Unlike Lind's office, those towers were made of a pale red stone from local quarries.  Those quarries were now transformed into centers of public enjoyment.

Some were made into deep lakes to foster fish and plants while others were turned into unique forests or herb gardens as well.  Plants that would not normally thrive in Tur lands could be nurtured in the darkness of the excavated caverns in the quarries.

The same went for the lakes.

While the Moebius Sect regulated those areas for safety, they were open to the public that wanted to harvest resources for cultivation.  In the 60 years since they were converted, Tur had begun to generally rise in power on average.

The King of Tur was now a Diamond Tier, with a slim possibility of Sky Realm in his future, while even the villages had Stone Tier cultivators in larger numbers than any time in Tur's history.

Seeing the return on the King's investment made others generally keep out of Lind's sect since he did not withhold anything under his control.  That openness had often been called a weakness but Lind did not let all of it out.  He simply returned in kind what was given to him.

"You have yet to state what brought you to my office today, Lysanna."  Lind finally got around to a topic he was a little worried about.  She rarely came to visit just to visit.  Sometimes she was worse than Shoti in teasing him.

When his wives were all here, they all seemed to enjoy making him blush!

"Ah, I actually wanted to let you know that my father has finally decided my future."  Lind frowned.  While he understood royals and nobles did not have freedom in that area, he truly disliked people being told who to marry.  Cultivation sometimes freed them from that constraint, but only if they were a true prodigy that clearly would not be staying in their homeland.

"I did not see you as one that would accept it with a smile."  Wyndam and Lysanna were very alike in that.  They asserted their opinions strongly now and rarely accepted being told they should act their roles as Prince and Princess rather than work in the sect.

Lysanna smiled a bit but shrugged.

"I know my duty to the kingdom.  I also knew it was coming despite the changes you wrought over the last 90 years.  Even so, I am glad for all of it."  Lind was glad to see her light hearted spirit was fine.  If she was truly fine with whatever it was, he had no issue.

"So, what part of your future brought you to me?"  Lind was sipping his tea as he wondered if the current visit would become much more rare soon.  He would be sad about that.  While she was aggravating, she did not treat him like a being beyond reproach as so many did these days.

"Oh, right.  Well, I came to see when you want to get married."  Hot tea burned Lind's nose as he inhaled at the wrong time and he almost choked as a cloth was summoned to stop it from becoming a mess.

His skin glinted emerald for a moment to show how out of sorts he had become.

"E-excuse me?!  What did you just say?!"  Lind was not sure how he felt beyond confused and shocked.

"I want to know when we will get married.  Elder sister Cyntilla was my first visit today before you but she said I should tell you myself.  Elder sisters Shoti and Qing also said you are quite slow.  Elder sister Annabelle did say you would object but to not let you use them as an excuse."  Lysanna was calmly drinking her tea and was a picture of elegance while Lind looked like he had just been through some rain due to the tea being all over him.

Lind clamped a strong restraint against his desire to roar while he summoned a jade communication stone.

"Cyntilla, get to my office right now!"  Lind then sent out a jet of emerald light to his desk which made a panel slide open to reveal a large projection stone appear.  It flickered to life to show a screen.

[State request]

"Connect me to my wives in the Floating Isles, now!  No excuses!"  Lysanna was still smiling but a thrill went through her body to see Lind like that.  His dark green eyes then looked coldly at her.  "Also, summon my mother and Ethry back here!"

Lind Frey was not in a good mood anymore, and it was clear the rumors about his bestial nature were true.  Lysanna felt a chill in her spine as the piercing look kept her in place.  She had pictured many results from her admission but not that.  None of them ever said Lind would be scary.

Still, her heart raced and she wished to be with the man more.  If he knew the thoughts in her head, Lind might have actually collapsed in defeat, but thankfully, he could not read minds.
