Chapter 231 - 230 - Party Time!

Delenn was carefully watching as tears fell down her face.  She could hear but not speak at the moment, yet it was enough.  Lind had worked with her to make a special jade communication stone so she could watch his wedding.  It had been important to him.

"You have changed, senior."  A heavily wrinkled stout man was next to her.  He was balding more than ever before and she glanced at him in some concern.  A World Realm should not age so much unless there was a serious issue.

Flashes of color made her snap back to see fireworks going off above the open courtyard Lind and his brides sat in for the feast.  She arched an eyebrow as aside from simple colors in the shapes of blooms, there were far more complicated shapes.

"Cranes, orioles, drakes, and quite a few beasts I see, Master Cain."  The old man rubbed his nose with a smile as he sat proudly next to her.  Master Harold had been forced to finish a project for the Dancing Flame Sect.  Supposedly, it was a gift from that sect to Lind so he was working hard on it.

"I felt the laddie was not greedy enough, besides, I thought it would be fun."  Dark green eyes seemed to pierce out of the jade stone at them and Delenn smirked at the old man as he looked nervous.  "Perhaps I went too far."

She looked down at him in concern again but said nothing.  Harold had broken through to Gold Tier but Cain showed no such inclination.  Delenn counted in her head and frowned as she realized how quickly time passed for World Realms.

"You should tell him."  Cain looked at her with a glare but he was entitled to a bit.  Still he shrugged and pointed at the jade stone.

"It was not the proper time and it still isn't  Let him have this moment.  Spirits know he earned it."  She could only nod at the truth of that.  Lind had suffered a lot and faced things he should not have had to.

"He might be able to–"  Cain looked very sternly at her.

"You don't think the good lassies tried to help me already?  I am almost out of time, and no elixir or pill can save me from that!"  She nodded but then patted his back gently as they turned back to see the happiness of their disciple.  There was time enough for hard truth later.

"This is so good!"  Shoti was downing food but she made sure not to dirty up her dress.  She was also being very touchy to Lind now that all restraints were removed.  "Try this one!"

She tried to feed him but Annabelle of all people snatched the food away and glared at her.

"We are in public and have to receive guests!  We–we will get to other stuff later!"  Annabelle blushed and was not alone but Shoti only grinned wider.  She shrugged her shoulders and resumed her sampling.

Lind enjoyed the playfulness of Shoti but appreciated Annabelle reeling her in.  He was not quite ready to be intimate in public to such an extent.  The kiss from only a few moments ago still made his face burn as he let the moment carry him away.

"Shoti is not wrong, this is quite good.  Where is it from?"  Qing was eating what looked like a snake cooked up for the feast but Lind's Eyes told him it was an Iron Tier aether beast so it should be something a bit more impressive.

"It is a Rakathi wurm.  They are a delicacy and very dense with Qi unlike other underground creatures.  They are highly sought after.  I had a favor or 2 to have them here as I enjoyed them once when I was a little girl."  Cynitlla was viciously cutting up some chunks of meat for herself while Lind was curious.

A single bite flooded Lind with Qi but the taste was stunningly similar to roasted chicken!  He had found some strange tastes in this new world but he finally found a true Earth taste he had missed a lot!

They laughed and enjoyed the food until Fey came running up smiling.

"Big Brother, you look amazing!"  She gushed about his robes as Shoti pulled her into a hug.  He patted Fey's head and saw his mother making her way over.  She joined them for a moment before Lind stood up and set his hand out.

"Would you care to dance, mom?"  Mira smiled wide as his wives waved her on.  The zithers had some singers added to them that changed tempo as Lind entered the main hall with his mother.

The white carpet had been pulled up and the podium stored away.  Several couples were dancing but all cleared the floor as Lind and Mira began to dance.  The happy music made Lind whip his mother around quickly as they both laughed.

After a few breaths, Old Man and Granny joined them as others followed.  Solon was pulled out but one of the Frey Clan elders grumbled but smiled as he waved at Lind.  Lind saw his friends and family slowly trickle onto the dance floor as the music began to slow down.

"Don't neglect your new brides, my son."  Mira smiled up at him and he nodded back as Fey suddenly appeared to collect her.  Lind saw all 4 women enter the room.  He looked at them all and then began to manipulate his Qi.

An isolation dome appeared but it encircled them all.  He smiled at them as he waved them forward.

"We will all dance together!"  It was a bit awkward at first but they shifted from one on one to group moves while the dome kept them isolated from any awkward interference but did not cause issues to the other dancers.

Lind felt serene in his heart until the music ended.  He only felt regret when the moment ended but it was only a pause.  Lind pulled them off to the side while they relaxed at their table and greeted the visitors from afar.

Elder Tyr had whispered something to Qing that made her face deep crimson but Lind was afraid to ask.  She tried to elicit a reaction from Shoti but Shoti whispered something back that made Elder Tyr stumble.

His curiosity was burning but he left it alone.  Best not to ask at that moment.  Annabelle was practically in his lap as she nuzzled against him but Cyntilla was strangely similar on his other side.

She was practically molded onto him which was damned distracting.

Solon was staring daggers at him a bit but was all smiles when he came over.  The swordsman put a lot of strength into his handshake but Lind barely felt it.  His body was ridiculously strong but peak Gold Tier could clearly still hurt him.

"You all look wonderful.  Congratulations, Lind!"  Astrella was beaming while Leah was right behind her.  Lind wondered where Silvia was but she was likely looking on from afar.  Cyntilla and Astrella began to catch up while the latter was examining her dark dress.  Demon style was a bit odd but he could not deny how darkly beautiful it made her.

"Master Frey, you seem much happier than the last time we met."  Cassandra came up with her child sleeping in her arms again.  He was smiling wide though with some sweets debris on his cheeks.

He made sure the child was fine and smiled wide at her.

"I wondered if I would have this kind of happiness but if you asked me back at the Lotus Academy, I would never dream of having 1 wife let alone 4."  Lind was still wrapping his head around that fact but it was real.

Cassandra smiled and relaxed as she kept her boy asleep and chatted with them.  Annabelle actually seemed to connect with her and Lind was suddenly left with the little boy.  The husband was abandoned all of a sudden!

"Uncle Lind, who is that?"  Shi came up with Fain and Min in tow.  He smiled and pointed at Cassandra talking to Annabelle.  The clear resemblance clicked in their heads and they asked Lind about his new robes and how he felt.

It was refreshing to be asked such innocent questions and he entertained his nieces and nephew.  Finally, Teyla and Teylin came looking for their children.  Lind was happy to see his Big Brother and Sister.

Cassandra collected her son who finally woke up a little confused but Lind bribed him with some safe snacks for such a young Body Refining Realm.  She bowed and let Lind catch up.

The night became a bit of a haze but Lind was simply soaking up the high energy of the party until it began to wind down.  Some had to leave to return to their powers, but a few stayed in the Gu and Frey Clans or associated inns.

Lind thanked them all as the gifts were stored away in his ring for the moment.

Lind led the way to their new quarters.  It had been some work to set him up as he would not be staying forever.  Still, he would enjoy the massive courtyard that opened up to the starlit sky.  The half moon gently lit up their new rooms as his 4 brides had become quiet in his wake.

"Sit with me for a moment."  Lind brought them onto the grassy courtyard and sat down under the tree planted at the center of it.  He noticed several herbs were in the open part of the courtyard but not as much for an official garden.

They held hands and looked up at the sky soaking in the calm night as their bodies calmed down.

"I love you all.  I have made a lot of progress but do not hold off on yours to wait for me.  I will catch up, always.  I will not stand in the way of your path but we are always on the same path together.  I promise you, we will be together forever."  All 4 slowly nodded as they understood Lind's words.

He had explosively risen in the World Realm and was now a fairly young one compared to how he was becoming too old to be still in the Soul Realm only a handful of years ago.

The first watershed of cultivation was approaching and it was not easy for him.  Gold Tier tribulation was not easy for anyone but Lind had no path to follow for it.  He would have to figure it out when the time came and it could take centuries.

In that time, all of them could reach Sky Realm or beyond.  Annabelle especially was the most likely to advance as aether children often could progress faster in comprehension than other races.

"Enough of that Lind, we will drag you kicking and screaming forward if we have to but tonight is not about the future, it is about the moment." Shoti was suddenly serious but then her smile became very lewd as she kissed him deeply.

Blood rushed to his face as he was pulled back to his feet and off to the bedroom.  Fear and anticipation flowed in his body but he did not resist, not that he could.  Annabelle was shy but she was the first to let her dress fall.

The others quickly followed and Lind was not entirely sure he was dreaming or not.  How could he possibly have been that lucky?

Heat began to overtake his body and he slid the door closed behind him as blissful joy overtook them all.
