Chapter 200 - 199 - Changing the World
Chapter 200 - 199 - Changing the World
Lind thought he would be bothered more. He had fought for his life against monsters and beasts. The only deaths at his hands were due to his desperation to stay alive in dangerous situations. He still remembered the looks of horror on those boys' faces as the wurms came for them.
Watching Fey kill someone as if it was easy as breathing was not stunning to him. He had heard enough from Qing, Annabelle, and Shoti about how she devoted herself to cultivation. Her title was spread by the demon Kir but few argued against its accuracy.
Fey had dived into her sword study and much like everything else, she mastered it at a frightening pace. Lind had unlocked a potential that was stunning in her but he had not guided anyone else from the very beginning.
Lind had studied her cultivation as best he could but he could not find any secret inside her body. He suspected his guidance with Sky Touch was partially to blame but the rest was all her hard work.
"Now, you all may wonder why I am here in front of you, but I have spent a long time away from the world. I have had many demands for my time but I was not ready. I am still not ready in many ways but I am ready to share what I have learned." Lind had thought about it in the little over a year he had freed himself.
He had broken through but his elemental theories were solidly in the Soul Realm. The World Realms had comprehensions that they took to their own heights, but just as before, Lind found the World Arts were wrong.
It was more complicated since he had to control Qi outside of him and within at the same time. His theories only worked on the balance within the dantian until he studied other World Realms for the last year.
It was a whole new level of difficulty as he also had to see how other World Realms wielded external Qi. What he had seen was illuminating but only added to the complexity of what he had to understand.
By the time he had returned to the Lotus Empire, he had wanted to teach the Frey and Gu Clans first, but the situation demanded action. He had to protect his family and the best way in the cultivation world was to show his strength.
He also made the declaration that he was coming for Altair in the most direct way possible.
"Some of you seem to have noticed a formation when you crossed it. If you felt pressure please raise your hands." A little over a third of the core and inner students raised their hands. It was as he expected. "If any of you felt lighter, please raise your hands."
This time only a tenth of the outer disciples raised their hands. Lind noted more than a few wondered where he was going with his questions. So far, what his master had told him lined up. The final question would determine how he broke this session up.
"How many of you felt your elements resonate and still are?" Once more, a small handful raised their hands from the outer students. There was one inner student also which surprised Lind. He looked at her closely and saw the likely reason.
She was a 5 elemental.
"Very good. Those of you that felt nothing may stay if you wish but those that felt pressure are dismissed. Please return to your quarters or classes as you wish to." His dismissal had the expected result. The majority that felt pressure were above tier 7 of the Soul Realm.
In the Academy, they would be considered the elites or at least promising seeds. For what Lind wanted to do, they were too far gone.
"What if we want to stay too?" A young man from the core disciples that had a large group around him spoke up. The sandy blonde hair and blue eyes that marked him and many similar cohorts around him, confirmed for Lind where they were from.
"You can stay, but you will not benefit. The choice is yours." Lind was not lying but he doubted they would believe him.
"Those that resonated, please come up here." Since it was so few, they were the easiest group to start with. "Also, you, come here please." Lind pointed to the 5 elemental inner student who seemed surprised at his attention.
She had pale lilac hair with very pale skin but her eyes were interesting. Rather than a normal human eye, it was like elder Tyr. Vertical slits with aquamarine coloring stood out. Lind had heard manifestation of beast bloodlines was rare in the Soul Realm, but not impossible.
"What is your name?" Lind welcomed her as Fey set the others up as he requested earlier from her.
"Master Frey, I am Jolene. I am from a small clan in the Golden Dynasty." Lind nodded and smiled at her. He motioned for her to sit. They assumed the lotus position as his aura flared.
"Circulate your Qi and allow me to guide it a bit." She nodded and he observed for a bit until he understood. Her meridians were slightly different from humans but they seemed stronger too. His Touch flowed with her Qi and found what he was looking for.
"Master Frey, should I continue?" Lind nodded and then he allowed her to see what he was doing.
"You may have a gift but before that, you have a slight shift in your balance to consider." Jolene looked confused but Lind smiled warmly as he summoned her 5 elements in front of him. The Qi became the flow inside her minus the fire Qi she did not possess. Her eyes widened and then a serene look came over her. "Follow that circulation and let me know when you are stabilized."
She nodded and all watched in awe as her aura increased from tier 4 to tier 5 in a few breaths. It was the smoothest breakthrough as Lind moved to the others on the stage. The other students were faster for Lind Frey to study but all had similar results. If one was unstable, they stabilized and steadily settled into their tier.
It was nothing like they had seen. How was he doing that?
Several of the audience tried to grasp but they could not hear what he was saying to them. The stage also had a formation! Fey made sure to keep an eye on the audience but they were well behaved yet their shock was clear as day. Fey, herself, was stunned.
She had known Big Brother was an amazing teacher but what she witnessed was on another level. He was improving Soul Realms left and right as if it was easy. She was still not sure what the formations did but the results spoke for themselves.
Suddenly, Lind's voice returned.
"All right. Now that you are all stabilized, I will begin with the real lesson for all of you." Smelting cauldrons appeared in front of each of them. "I will start with a demonstration. All of you watch." Instantly, the entire auditorium was pindrop silent. Lind Frey was known for 2 professions and the one he was showing was far more rare.
The metal began to melt and the entire auditorium watched with their senses but the vast majority did not understand what they were seeing. The ones on the stage, however, seemed to have something click into place.
Without words, Lind Forged a grade 1 sword. He then let each of the students examine it on the stage. He then allowed the sword to be sent out into the audience and no one dared hoard it.
Despite deeply examining it, no one seemed to perceive how it was made to work or how it was made, period. As the audience looked at that, Lind educated the ones on the stage to smelt metals with their Qi. If they lacked fire, he showed them how the cauldrons could compensate for that.
There were a few that were near impossible combinations to pull off any smelting but Lind helped them. He showed them how cooperation could work to pull off the process. It was only the work of a day but nearly all the students on the stage were able to smelt metal or get a feel for manipulating molten metal.
"You will all now go over to the side of the stage where Fey will guide you. I have to help the next batch of students." They obediently moved aside and began to practice what they were taught or cultivate to digest it.
"All of you that felt lighter, please move to the front of the stage where you can all see. Anyone that felt nothing, please stand behind them. Everyone else please make room." Grumbling followed his instructions but Lind did not care.
Given what he had just taught, the next was even more anticipated. Elixr masters had begun to spread slowly but no one was as incredible as Lind Frey himself had been. The only exceptions were 3 at the Heavenly Maiden Sect that had been taught directly by him.
Sure enough, Lind once more began to examine each student and they absolutely did not fight him at all. Unlike before, he was not asking them to circulate their Qi. No one was sure what he was doing but no one dared to stop him.
"Very good. I will now show you something visually with my Qi. Once you think you understand it, replicate it within your dantians." His aura flared and his strength was felt clearly by all. If there was any doubt of his claim to high Stone Tier, it was wiped away then.
Rather than elements, his emerald flame flowed in the air but it became thinner and thinner until Qi could be felt but no element was present. The inner and core students excluded tried desperately to grasp what he was doing but no one made any progress.
The frustration was high but since none of the students in front of him reacted, they felt a little better. Their satisfaction was shattered as first one, then more began to assume a lotus position and cultivate.
Fury rose in the rest of the audience but they did not understand what was happening that time. The Forging at least seemed to be a sort of guidance of the elements and dealt with their balance. The current issue was a feeling of Qi but no one could feel what it was.
Lind was impressed at how many of the ones the formation picked out were able to feel their spirit Qi. He now understood why it was hard to find elixir masters as spirit Qi was not something consciously cultivated normally.
Some of the students left as they had to but most stayed trying desperately to learn what he was giving out, but they would fail. Lind finally nodded as he saw most were ready to move on.
"All right, all of you pay attention to what I do next." All eyes were peeled as he summoned fire and water at grade 1 and then brought out herbs. The plants seemed to wilt to most eyes but the ones that had just grasped spirit Qi could see the essence floating in front of their eyes!
Far above, the Head Elder and Silvia felt sweat pouring down their backs as they floated on a platform meant to overlook the auditorium for the elders.
"Is he excluding them intentionally?" Silvia asked as she looked at the large swath of Altair men that had been disqualified. Some had moved up in the audience but did not seem to grasp whatever it was Lind was teaching.
"No, he told me the formation would detect something called flexibility in a dantian. It does not certify they can become a Forger or an elixir master, but he said it would narrow the field of search." Milton felt his limbs shaking. The formation was already stunning but the event in front of him shattered his understanding of cultivation.
It was clear Lind had progressed on his elemental theories but that would not help the Soul Realms here as they already had his previous teachings. Instead, they were seeing him raise new Forgers and elixir masters in the Lotus Academy.
The world would be changed as so many new masters were being born right in front of them! Lind had wanted to declare his return and no one could claim he was withholding his skills at all as the Lotus Academy drew even disciples from powerful sects and Darkmoor itself.
Lind was making himself untouchable by making instant connections across the Sarth Continent in 1 month!
