Chapter 1650 - 1649 - Why?
The Twins were looking at the devastation of the tribulation platform. While Younger Twin was purely elixir mastery with some understanding of other fields, Older Twin was the one tied to the Forged and refined items in the Inheritance.
"What–what was that?!" Younger Twin had seen many Divine Realm cultivators face their tribulations but what he had just seen exceeded even many Journeyman Tier cultivators stepping into the Master Tier!
He turned to his mirror image but Older Twin was just as lost. The tribulation platform had been made by him at the peak of the Divine Realm and an Apprentice Tier had destroyed it!
He had no concept of what was going on!
The tribulation had seemed a joke as Lind Frey took over and seemed to command it to speed up and faced no difficulty overcoming it, yet the last round left him floored.
Divine Realm cultivators would always have to endure the 3 Mysteries of their minor realm each time.
Yet, the platform had been made when Older Twin was at the peak of the Master Tier. It should have been able to withstand anything from the Apprentice or Journeyman Tiers but Lind Frey had shattered it entirely as an Apprentice Tier!
Why?
The 2 spirits quickly acted and their authority in the Inheritances far exceeded any cultivator regardless of realm.
They analyzed the damage and realized the fundamental issue was Lind Frey's Myteries.
Each Divine Realm was unique on that aspect but generally, Apprentice Tier Mysteries fell into a range of power that did not exceed Journeyman Tiers, but Lind Frey did.
The 2 spirits recalled his alternate versions and none had ever come close to the power of the current version.
Realization dawned as they studied the damage.
Lind Frey was not affected by the Great One! He was not suppressed and even exceeded what should have been possible for an Apprentice Tier.
The Art of Defiance was still bogged down in Laws and Daos but its power exceeded that limit with ease!
The passed out man was smoothly consolidating his foundation without issue but both spirits confirmed his aura was insane. If a prodigy could exceed their realm with ease, Lind Frey left them in the dust!
"What has he done?" Younger Twin was his Master no matter what yet the young Journeyman Tier exceeded all context and measures of Divine Realm cultivators. There hard limits both were aware of but Lind Frey somehow exceeded them!
It was only after a month that both spirits began to understand the issue.
Harmonies.
They had no experience or context of true 6 elemental cultivators. It was clear that the harmony aided the host and further, they likely pushed the power of said cultivator far beyond what they were used to.
They were both experiencing the shock of facing the power unleashed by 6 elementals for the first time.
"What can we do?" Younger Twin knew they had hard limits as administrators of the Inheritance but the Older Twin merely waved his hand and a small mountain of materials appeared.
It took close to 5 years in real time to repair the tribulation platform but Lind Frey was still consolidating his foundation. The inverted time dilation meant only 100 years had passed in the outside world, the time spend in front of them was just as shocking as the power.
Consolidation was usually a formality at the Divine Realm. The longest timeline should have been no more than 2 years but Lind Frey showed no sign of it!
Such a profound foundation left both in awe!
It was at that point that addressed the Guardian Spirit.
Haro appeared at their request and his aura was far below them. The distance was clear not because he was recovering his peak power but due to the difference between a segmented spirit from a Divine Realm cultivator vs a tool spirit.
"Guardian, do you understand what level of information we are seeking?" Older Twin spoke but the bald headed man in tan robes looked at Younger Twin in deep respect.
"You are the first Master of my True Lord. I have some limitations but you can ask for information." Younger Twin preened at his brother but became serious as he waved his hand at the newly repaired tribulation platform.
"An Apprentice Tier should not be able to damage my brother's work. Do you have an explanation." Both twins waited as Haro contemplated what he could say before a smile spread on his dark skinned face.
"Master has spent his life diving into the origin of cultivation to advance all 6 elementals. He then grasped the ability to fuse all 3 elemental sets. Not Fiend Qi, but the True Qi of old." Haro had long known Lind was unique. His harmony was a bridge but knowledge and wisdom were needed to become what Lind was. "He now had Origin element power combined with Mysteries I have never heard of."
While it seemed all Divine Realm cultivators would be unique, many Mysteries were known. Many Apprentice Tiers would learn of what Mysteries could be condensed and follow that path only to slam into a dead end.
Some did not but it was a compatibility issue at that point.
Lind, instead, had reviewed his past, present, and even some future considerations to arrive at each of the 9 Apprentice Tier concepts.
Thus, his path was very personal and suffered no issues after he ascended.
Yet, all 3 spirits were in the dark as to why his Journeyman Tier tribulation became so insane. Such power meant Lind would be equally insanely powerful now, even without a Journeyman Tier Mystery condensed, but none grasped the depth of his current state.
Haro knew more but Divine Realm cultivation excluded him to a large extent.
He revealed the names of the concepts and with each revelation the Twins felt their jaws drop lower and lower. Those were both insane and way too complex!
What was going on?! Such concepts were not easy to resonate with Heaven and Earth but Lind Frey had done it in a timeframe most Divine Realms would envy!
None of them were familiar and even the alternate versions of Lind never touched on them! The Twins did not understand what was going on at all!
The 9 Mysteries were on par with the peak any Apprentice Tier could hope to reach! Having 1 or 2 was understandable but all 9 was unheard of!
Normally, revealing such a thing was taboo but an Inheritance was an exception. The reality was too that LInd was a disciple of the Younger Twin too.
Thus, Haro was not restricted from speaking on his Master's current state.
The 3 spirits spent another decade conversing before LInd finally woke up. His foundation was not only stable but felt insane!
Both Twins could quickly discern that even without a single Journeyman Tier Mystery, Lind could wipe the floor with many of his contemporaries!
The man then began to dissect his Arts! He had created Storm Arts, his Art of Defiance, and his Dao Weapon were all improved as if that was just normal!
The 3 spirits looked on in shock but Haro began to smile.
"He never changes. Even with such insane base power, he will advance even without a single Journeyman Tier Mystery." The Twins could see it.
The staff weapon became solidly embossed by gold, black, and silver colors related to each layer of the Apprentice Tier.
They had never seen such a thing!
Dao Weapons could incorporate Mystery energy but such precise yet completeness was unheard of!
Haro could only smirk but all 3 were left floored as Lind then went through a series of attack and defense moves. The physical power was already insane but the casual addition of Mysteries was something they could not understand!
As it that was not enough, Lind created 3 new Storm Arts related to the 3 Mystery layers! A Life Layer Storm was like a wide range restoration or last moment save for those on the battlefield.
It saturated the area with vitality and healing power.
The Death Storm, however, left them shivering as all 3 pulled back as dark winds stole souls and vitality aside from the dark lightning.
It was devastating but then the last one came.
The Soul Path Storm was born of Samsara and the Twins felt their existence grow dangerously thin before just the aura of the Art!
Haro had no such issue but he could still feel the power of the new Art chill his spine!
All 3 were more shocked by the speed. It was not even a month and Lind created all 3 Storm Arts as if they were easy!
Before ever condensing a single Journeyman Tier Mystery, Lind Frey proved he was a horrifying enemy!
His Arts all easily reached the middle of the Journeyman Tier in power! Further, the Twins could sense that it was not the end! Lind likely was actively close to his first Heaven Mystery before even a few years had passed!
Lind finally looked at them and bowed low.
"Junior is ready for the next trial." His calm voice confirmed he truly was ready and now that he was an initial state Journeyman Tier, he would face trials that would push him to his very limits!
