The judges evaluated all the Forged creations for their initial assessment and to ensure there were no glaring issues to disqualify right away.
Of the 8 teams, 3 were eliminated on that alone. Their creations were just barely holding together. They might be salvageable later, but for the purpose of the tournament, they had failed.
The individuals of those groups would be assessed for points but that was all they would get. The 5 that passed would also be evaluated but 2 teams were rather difficult.
One was, of course, Lind Frey's Many had assumed he would take the lead and be supported but instead he seemed to have had a true group merging. While he did created the foundational item, he merged his Forging with theirs to achieve a truly excellent mid Law Grade piece of armor.
It had 8 effects with the potential to become a growth spirit armor. It was difficult because several of the effects could not be tested easily. They would need to see it in action.
The other was a demonic war hammer. It was also a mid Law Grade weapon but it had a soul imbued into it. The effects were also at 9!
"We will need to see them in action." The judges were joined by elder Forgers who nodded at their choice. The long beards were wispy with balding heads on most of them but their expertise was still as strong as ever.
The fact they were looking so much older than normal meant they were very near the end of their lives. The physical shell was worn down from the use of Laws for millions of years. Very few could endure forever.
They judged the individuals on their own tablets before moving to give the good items to their respective cultivators.

A woman with very pale skin, almost pure white jade, sat in a lotus position on a large stone platform. She felt a shift in the weavings as a trio of the Harmonic Dragons entered with a folded cloth between them.
She frowned at it. Was that what they made for her? She could feel its aura which was more than acceptable but it just looked like a cape or maybe some other mundane cloth.
The 3 dragons bowed to her.
"Nightshade Immortal, this armor was made for you. We need to evaluate some of its functions once you don it. If you have any issues, please let us know immediately." A woman held the dark cloth towards her.
She sighed and stood up. She took the cloth into her pale hands as her long dark hair swayed freely. She never tied it back as it was well within her control as an additional weapon in the human form.
Her height was easily 3 meters but she was very lean. Her body was far more flexible than any human could possibly be.
"What is it?" She looked up but her dark vertically slit eyes only saw the judges look conflicted before pointing at it.
"You must register it to you. It should reveal itself then." She pricked her finger and the instant blood touched it, the cloth changed drastically!
It shimmered with scales as it enveloped her body! She nearly panicked but then it settled and she felt it sink into her skin! She also felt stronger!
A smile spread as the knowledge entered her mind.
The armor could adjust to her human or natural state! It was a massive advantage on that alone!

A smile spread so wide it literally split her head in half!
It was amazing but she also felt the potential of it! She immediately infused it with her aura to complete registration but pain suddenly lanced through her body!
The judges looked up but it was not tribulation that was coming. It was Bloodline Ascension! Nightshade Immortal had been at the cusp for so long and the armor carried her over the last step!
The armor reacted as Qi was pulled in to help her refine her bloodline. It shimmered the same color as her natural scales. Her human form distorted as a massive snake took its place.
She was easily 30 meters long and her massive mouth revealed she was venomous to boot but she rarely used it as her poison was easily countered.
Yet, her size increased as pressure descended from the Heavens. No lightning came but pain seared her whole being as blood began to spurt from her mouth. She wanted to control the process but it was too strong!
What was going on?
The judges did not interfere but they were using various artifacts to observe the process.
She could no longer worry about external things as she simply focused on surviving. Advancing a bloodline was never easy but she felt like things were going out of control! The pain was too much compared to what her race memory had given her to expect.
Her body grew to a massive size. She easily became over a kilometer long! Her blood sang in her veins as her dantian strained.
The Shard shifted to increase in size as well! She felt her foundation expand and her old snake skin was totally destroyed as she grew.
Her back gained ridges as her fangs grew and her venom sac transformed. Her scales became far darker than before. If she was considered the depths of a moonless night before, now she felt like she was the depths of space between stars!
The pain finally receded but she collapsed in exhaustion. She could not even summon the strength to stay awake but suddenly her skin glowed.
She felt revitalized as the armor worked! She felt restored very quickly and joy filled her as the armor resonated with her dantian. It was perfect!
"How do you feel, junior?" The judges snapped her out of her thoughts and she quickly assessed her condition.
She found her body was nearly healed but shock filled her. She was silent so long that they 3 became worried but she quickly waved her tail.
She transformed back to a human shape and found she was nearly 5 meters tall! Her once willow style body was now brimming with power. Her flexibility was gone but incredible strength replaced it.
She punched out casually and a shockwave actually pushed the judges back despite not being the target.
Her power was so high? A drake was far more powerful than her original bloodline but not that much.
She quickly assumed a lotus position and examined her body. She confirmed it all and tears fell as she transformed once more.
A kilometer and a half beast took her humanoid body's place and it was far more powerful than any drake.
She had become a flood dragon!
She was a step away from becoming a true dragon!
She was a Shadow Light Flood Dragon! She shifted into the shadows with ease and could not strike from them! Her venom had become darkness based as well!
It was now a potent form that could kill in less than a day!
She looked at her body and the armor fused with her skin felt so comfortable. She tried her instinctive Tail Slash Art and it was 3 to 4 times more powerful than before!
She concentrated a little and she essentially vanished into the shadows but only was blending in. The judges could no longer find her despite being Radiant Tiers.
She laughed as she appeared behind them!
"This armor is amazing!" Her aura gave away her extreme advancement. The judges quickly collated the data and were floored.
The armor had resonated so much with the Nightshade Immortal that she had skipped being a drake entirely!
The other effects were stunning! They had her do a few more tests and saw that even a severe strike against her not only healed quickly in her flesh but the armor also recovered!
The Nightshade Immortal was ecstatic with her new armor but then she felt a slight shift in it. She quickly focused and was stunned when a voice popped in her mind.
[Mama?] It was a high pitched voice but she felt the nascent spirit form and realized her drastic transformation had triggered the birth of the armor spirit!
"Yes, I am your Mama." She did not bother to correct it as she was too happy. Joy flowed in the bond and she focused on the spirit. She nurtured it with her aura and stabilized her foundation.
She felt more alive than ever before as she let the judges do what they had to do.
She did not hear anything of their determination but she absolutely would put her faith in it the armor for her upcoming bout. She was going to use it but then the judges made a surprising decision.
"Due to the drastic increase in her bloodline and the clear stability of the armor, the entire group will receive a bonus point set on top of their individual scores." She was more than happy to accept that result!
One of the male judges asked her for a report of her experience and she happily complied. She would give them all the information and more!
She had become a flood dragon and felt far more powerful than ever before! How could she not be happy?!
