Chapter 1110 - 1109 - Changes to the Group
Chapter 1110 - 1109 - Changes to the Group
Lind was in an arena with Mills as both used various weapons created by Qi or Forged by his own hands. She relied too much on making weapons with ice that would deplete her Qi far faster compared to wielding weapons that could transform or simply various weapons.
Her Battle Aura was sharper and more deadly but its stability was incredibly lacking. She had begun to master it in everyday life at least but active use was far from her control. She injured herself if she gave into her emotions as much as her enemy.
Lind hardly ever got a scratch but he did nearly exhaust his own aura against her which was fundamentally stunning.
Gilgamesh had improved his own Battle Aura with them but he could not stand up to either of them. The Yin Nurture Physique was terrifying to be able to amplify her aura far beyond her realm.
A bit of research into the previous Yang Nurture Physique had revealed the man had a stamina that far exceeded his given realm at any time. He was able to help Sky to Immortal Realms improve despite only being a World Realm when he officially debuted.
It seemed whatever the physique required after it awoke was taken to an extreme. He truly wondered about the method used but Battle Aura and stamina were bad examples. Physiques of all kinds could enhance stamina as well as bloodlines.
His own dragon soul state had drastically improved his base physical ability far above humans in the same realm by at least 2 major levels. The more he converted to a dragon in soul and body unleashed more strength as time passed.
Now, if he only used his body, very few humans could stand up to him.
Even many beast races could not compare to him but any Divine bloodline would be on par with his strength in other ways.
Mills, on the other hand, was purely human. The physique was like a distillation of all potential and to counter balance it, she nurtured others to rise up to her strength.
Lind really wanted to study more physiques as he realized they would become more common as the tainted Qi lifted from the world.
Their weapons collided in a mighty clash at the heart of the arena and spiraled in all directions but he stopped his weapons smoothly while Mills finally collapsed. Her red hair was sweat slicked and stuck to her skull and back. She was done.
"You have improved. Here." He gave her some grade 3 elixirs so she could recover as he helped her to the side. His day of training was only beginning.
A lean young man was in a lotus position but the air around him felt like it would slice open anyone that came near him. His snow white hair now matched his eyes. His skin was smooth as creamy jade and muscles like steel.
His body was far stronger than before but unlike Lind when he became a dragon soul, Lan had already been aligned with a white tiger even as a Failed Awakening.
It would be more correct to say his body had been reset and improved compared to before. Bori had been thrilled for his brother and there was no sign of a heart demon or simply disappointment.
"Lan, I am ready." An Immortal could endure nearly forever compared to lower Realm cultivators. Lan opened his eyes and a ghost of a tiger appeared briefly before it disappeared.
He smoothly stood up and the grace of his movements were something even Lind could not pull off. If there was one thing even dragons could not brag about it was their fluidity.
Tigers beat them hands down. Conversely, dragons destroyed them in pure power. Black shelled tortoises could endow a level of resilience that few could break. Ilyria could take a direct hit and keep going far better than he could. Lastly, the Phoenix allowed a level of Qi mastery that even the soul could not be damaged.
It was the key feature supposedly of their ability to be reborn in flames.
Lan took a position across from him and some cheering suddenly sprang up from the audience area. A glance revealed their small party but Lind narrowed his eyes at Jur.
She seemed fine but her childish ways had reduced a great deal after whatever kind of trial Lan went through. The ancestral beast no longer answered either so he could not figure out if something happened.
Chu had expressed some concern but that was all. Jur showed few other changes save a slight increase in her cultivation.
She was going to be a Star Tier at the current rate in a few months.
Ranger was not as fast but he had already been close when they met. Little Katerina had actually said 'Dad' recently which stunned him since she was still so young. She had even touched Ranger when she said it so it was a heartwarming scene.
Oz was refusing any help to advance but life extension would be fine he had said yet lately he seemed to have a sad glint in his eyes as he saw the others progress. Nana was the only one still struggling to move forward but Chu had said her speed was improving compared to anyone else in that village.
Chu and Bori were the only ones that were still much the same.
Lan was now ready with a wide stance and arms held up with open palms. Despite his now purely human body, the onlookers saw both a tiger and dragon facing off in the ring!
Very slowly, ethereal ghosts of both beasts began to appear over the 2 men. The arena was sealed and Mills knew the truth about Lind because it was needed to hone her ability.
His human features vanished as emerald hair floated on the wind and his reptilian eyes glowed with a fierce light.
The 2 ghosts began to do battle in the air. Roars and flames began to fly but no one was in any danger as Law Grade wards made by weaving flared around them.
The sinuous emerald dragon tried many angles but the white tiger but a decisive blow could not be brought to bear. The tiger was able to leap and almost vanish at times but at others the sound of metal on metal could be heard as arcs of claws swipe met talons.
Lind was not holding back. Lan was literally like Mills now with a supremely strong soul being his aspect that was now far superior to his Moon Tier cultivation.
Unlike Mills, he actually had far more abilities to support the outlier but he also needed to learn to control it. Supreme strength did not mean supreme control.
His issues stemmed from using up his strength too quickly and leaving himself vulnerable. Lind had done that as well. Only the mercy of Heaven, karma, and in one case aether children, allowed him to still be alive today.
That kind of luck cannot be relied on and Lan was better to learn from his mistakes.
He was also honing his own soul at the same time. Lan was thrilled when Lind told him it would be immensely helpful to train with him.
Still, Lind's trials and tribulations showed as the battle wore on and Lan was covered in sweat before falling to his knees. His ephemeral tiger vanished and Lind recalled his own. He was not as relaxed as after training with Mills.
"Better, Lan. I could not land a hit that time at all aside from glancing blows. A few more weeks and I think you will be able to lock us into a stalemate." Lan smiled in joy! He smiled a lot more now since his transformation.
Lind gave him a grade 6 elixir to recover and he moved off to the side. Lind now had the arena to himself and he consolidated his gains. As Lan and Mills improved, his own aspects also improved too.
Compared to before, Lind had seen a massive increase in his flexibility and power. His foundation had also become more profound in ways he had thought he grasped before but had only scratched the surface!
His Battle Aura tied into his own study of Laws and he realized he was closing in on the next step. The speed was stunning but was mostly thanks to Mills physique during the training. Gilgamesh had also benefited but he could not endure it nearly as long as Lind.
His harmony flared in his crystal and he felt his elements were far more in sync than ever before as his dragon soul grew stronger and more robust. He took extensive notes as he realized it would apply to 6 elementals as well!
Their harmonies were still the stumbling block even as Immortals. Despite the vast resources to help cultivate 6 elements once the Heaven Realm was reached, his theories were proven superior.
Still, the harmony was never accounted for and it had to be. The horrifying leap from peak Sky Realm straight to Moon Tier was something still being studied as the failure rate was very bad outside of his Moebius Sect disciples.
He was not sure what the differences in the other mortal realms were but he had gotten reports that they seemed to have lower success rates. Part of it was the lack of a unifying organization but now he began to grasp it was deeper than that.
His personal insights were becoming clearer thanks to his bouts with Lan. The harmony merged with the soul of the cultivator and thus it was important the 6 elemental cultivators have a lot of experience studying their own harmony.
Each were variations no matter the similarity of color between them. Lind never stopped charting out the path but the more unique he became the harder it became to help others with relatable knowledge but harmonies were still the same!
Lind resumed his human form and collected his group to go back to their various projects. Today was the day they finally began to head to the capital. The King of the Rubyfire Kingdom wanted to see them at last.
