Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 26

Chapter 26

"You bastard... How dare you!" Alexander growled in anger, ready to deliver another blow to John who was trying to get up, blood dripping from his mouth and nose.

However, he was stopped by Reynold, Charles, and several other men who had rushed out of the hall along with everyone else who had been there, drawn by the commotion and noise outside.

The crowd had gathered around them, with cameras flashing everywhere.

The commotion was intense, and it seemed as though everyone was trying to get a glimpse of the situation.

"What on earth is happening here?" Harriet spoke, clearly agitated by the scene involving her grandson.

"You should ask your grandson, old woman!" John yelled, holding his bleeding nose in pain. "He started it!"

"You liar! You provoked him!" Camilla retorted, visibly angry.

It was clear she was trying to control herself, not wanting to escalate the already heated situation.

"Oh, shut up you slut!" John shot back, which was all it took for Alexander to break free from the grip of those holding him.

He charged at John and delivered several other blows to his face.

"Alexander! Alexander, stop it!" Camilla yelled, trying to get him to stop his attack.

"Someone please get him out of here before he does something irreparable," Harvey, Alexander's mother, practically screamed in terror as she watched her son assaulting John.

With the assistance of a few other men, Reynold and Charles finally managed to separate Alexander from John.

"Come on, Alexander, let's go. You need to calm down," Reynold said, trying to soothe Alexander.

Alexander was panting heavily, his fists still tightly clenched.

His gaze fell upon his younger cousins, Juliana, Jennifer, and Daniel, who were also present and looked visibly disturbed by the recent events.

He also met the gaze of his grandmother, who had a look of disappointment on her face.

However, this didn't faze Alexander, as all he wanted was to vent the anger that John had stirred within him.

"Alexander, please, try to calm down. He's not worth it," Charles said, still holding Alexander back.

But Alexander still struggled to contain his anger until he met Camilla's imploring gaze.

Finally, he took a deep breath, trying to control his escalating anger.

"Let me go," he growled through gritted teeth, but nobody complied.

They still doubted he was calm enough to be released, due to his heavy panting.

"I said, let me go!" Alexander repeated, more loudly this time, and they reluctantly obliged.

Still breathing heavily, with his chest heaving and his suit disheveled, he cast one last glance at John, who was lying on the floor, groaning, with a slightly bruised face.

Then, he turned around and left the scene, with Camilla, Charles, Isabelle, and Harvey following behind him.

"Reynold, please call for an ambulance to take this boy to the hospital," Harriet said, with a hint of relief in her voice.

"Damien, please clear the scene," Harvey instructed her security head, Damien, who was standing nearby.

She then headed over to where Alexander was being held by Camilla and the rest of his family near his car.

"Yes, ma'am," Damien replied, signaling to the other men, who began to disperse the crowd.

"What were you thinking?" Harvey scolded Alexander, her eyes narrowed and brows furrowed.

"That bastard had it coming, Mom," Alexander replied curtly.

Harvey sighed deeply as her shoulders sagged. "Alexander, I understand that he might have said something to provoke you, but that doesn't give you an excuse to act with violence.

"What if he decides to sue you for assault?" She asked, clearly worried.

"I don't care! I'll see him in court!" Alexander yelled, his body still tense as his breathing became even faster.

"Okay, you need to calm down now," Camilla spoke in a soothing tone, trying to soothe Alexander's anger.

The entire episode took place so quickly that she was taken aback by Alexander's reaction, especially since they were not officially dating.

She was the one who had been insulted and was surprised to find that he was angrier than she was.

This made her question whether his behavior was a performance meant to bolster the illusion of their relationship in front of a harasser, or if his emotions were genuine.

"Why is he still here?" Harriet asked, causing everyone to turn and look at her.

"Mom, we just wanted him to calm down," Harvey spoke on behalf of the group.

"I don't think he should be driving in his current state." Harvey tried to diffuse the situation and ease the anger in his mother-in-law's eyes caused by Alexander's outburst.

"That's not a valid excuse," Harriet retorted, her voice stern.

After a moment of silence, she continued, "Charles, would you please take him and Camilla home? I don't want any more photos taken by the media." Her tone was firm and commanding, and Charles nodded in agreement, moving to do as she asked.

However, Camilla spoke up and interrupted him.

"I can drive. I'll take us both home. Charles shouldn't have to do it," Camilla offered. Harriet's expression softened slightly as she hesitantly nodded in agreement.

"Okay." She responded, then turned to the others with a stern look.

"Everyone else, go home right away. I'll take care of things here," she stated firmly, not allowing for any objections.

She then walked back to the location of the incident.

"The keys," Camilla said, extending her hand in front of Alexander who briefly gazed at his grandmother walking away before reaching into his pocket, extracting the car keys, and dropping them into Camilla's waiting palm.

After retrieving the keys, Camilla faced the group with a neutral expression. "I caused tonight's events, and I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused."

Harvey quickly placed a hand on Camilla's shoulder, shaking her head in disagreement.

"No, dear, none of this was your fault. Don't blame yourself for that jerk's actions," she said kindly. Camilla smiled in response and then looked towards Alexander.

"Come on, let's go," she said, and they both entered the car with Camilla behind the wheel, driving away.
