Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 103

Chapter 103

Ava took a deep breath, appearing unsure about sharing her thoughts. Eventually, she decided to be candid. "Well, the music is undoubtedly great, but just being here with you guys, I couldn't help but envision the video with you in it."

Camilla's eyes widened in surprise, caught off guard by Ava's comment. "Me? In the video?" she repeated, trying to process the unexpected suggestion.

Ava nodded, a small smile forming on her lips. "Yes, you! The chemistry between you and Edward is undeniable, and I believe your presence would elevate the video to a whole new level," she explained warmly.

Camilla hesitated, her mind still preoccupied with the ongoing drama involving her and Alexander.

Nevertheless, the idea of starring in Edward's music video, as presented by Ava, intrigued her. It was a new venture she had never experienced before.

"I... I don't know, Ava. I've never done anything like that before," she admitted honestly, causing Edward to let out a nervous laugh.

"I'm sure Ava's just joking..." Edward interjected, giving his manager a subtle glare before refocusing on Camilla, "...besides, you must have other things to attend to."

"No, it's not a joke," Ava interjected, looking earnestly at Camilla.

"I truly believe you could add something special to the video. Right, Manny?" She turned to the music producer, who nodded in agreement with the idea.

Camilla couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm, sensing that Edward also loved the idea of her starring in his music video but didn't want to pressure her.

"Well, I do have other commitments, but..." Camilla started, looking back at Ava, whose hopeful expression encouraged her to continue.

"...I think I'd love to be in the music video," she said, a sense of excitement washing over her.

Ava beamed with delight, clearly thrilled by Camilla's decision.

"Fantastic! We'll work on the concept and start planning right away. I promise it's going to be a memorable one," she said, her enthusiasm contagious.

While Edward seemed skeptical, he gently took Camilla's hand and led her to a corner of the studio.

His concerned gaze met her gray eyes as he voiced his worries. "Are you sure you really want to do this? I don't want to put any pressure on you, especially with what's going on online," he said sincerely.

Camilla smiled warmly, reassured by Edward's consideration.

"I think I'm going to be just fine...okay, Mr. Caruso?" she teased, lightening the moment before excusing herself back to her seat.

As conversations about the song and music video continued, Camilla felt a sense of relief.

It felt refreshing to focus on something creative and uplifting amidst the turbulence in her life.

However, the social media attacks on Alexander and his family still gnawed at her, and she knew she had to address the situation before it escalated even further.

Sitting on her bed later that evening, Camilla had her blonde hair loosely tied up in a bun, dressed comfortably in her pajamas.

Her laptop lay in front of her, and she found herself contemplating the action she was about to take.

After a few more seconds of hesitation, she finally mustered the courage and moved the cursor to press the "start live" button on her laptop.

With that simple click, she initiated a live stream for her followers.

Her heart pounded in her chest, uncertain of how the audience would react to what she had to say.

A few seconds later, the comments section began to fill up with greetings and messages of support from her fans, but Camilla could also see some lingering negative comments from the incident as well.

"Hello everyone," she began, her voice steady despite her nerves. "Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. I hope you are all doing well, wherever you are in the world."

"For those who don't know me, I am Camilla Kings, the founder of Tombell® Fashion House, and I want to take a moment to address some things that have been going on online recently."

As she spoke, she chose her words carefully, being honest and transparent about the situation. "I understand that people have concerns and emotions, but I want to ask everyone to please refrain from jumping to conclusions and spreading hate," Camilla continued, her voice calm yet assertive.

"Yes, Alexander and I were once married and were expecting a child, but unfortunately, due to an accident, I lost our baby. I want to clarify that during our marriage and after, he was never abusive or anything of that sort."

She paused, taking a deep breath to gather her composure, feeling the weight of her words as she shared this personal aspect of her life.

"And even though our marriage ended about a year ago due to irreconcilable differences, I can't stay silent while his image and that of his family are being tarnished by the media over something that isn't true... The video most of you watched was heavily exaggerated from what actually happened."

"The Cena's..." She trailed off with a small chuckle escaping her lips before continuing, "I don't know... I mean, I've only been married once, but they are the best in-laws one could ever ask for, and they don't deserve all this cyberbullying and hate."

"So please," she said, clasping her hands together in front of her laptop, making a heartfelt plea.

"I'm urging you all to please refrain from leaving hateful comments about him or his family. Let's strive for a more respectful, understanding, and kind approach both on social media and in our everyday lives."

After a brief pause, her lips curled into a bright smile, "So with that being said, I'd like to use this medium to announce that I'll be starring in Edward Caruso's upcoming music video for his new song, 'Till the End of Time!'"

Camilla's enthusiasm was evident as she continued, "I kindly ask you all to support him by streaming the video when it's released and showering it with the same love you've always shown for me and my work."

"So...thank you all for taking a moment to listen to me today. I genuinely appreciate it, and I hope you remain happy and have a wonderful day."

"Bye!" she exclaimed, ending the live stream with a cheerful wave before clicking the 'End Live' button.

As she heaved a sigh of relief, Camilla hoped that her heartfelt message would help quell the public negativity.

She stood up to head to the bathroom, but the ringing of her phone stopped her in her tracks.

She turned back and picked it up from the bed, noticing that the caller was Alexander.

Her brows automatically furrowed, and her thumb hovered over the green button, unsure whether to answer the call or not.

After a moment of contemplation, she clicked it, pressing the phone to her ear, her voice soft yet slightly tense, "What do you want?"

Alexander hesitated for a moment, sensing the tension in Camilla's voice. "I... I saw your live stream," he replied, his own voice filled with a tinge of vulnerability.

"I just wanted to say... thank you," he continued sincerely.

"Thank you for standing up for me and my family, and for speaking the truth. I know we haven't been on the best of terms lately, but I appreciate what you did."

Camilla's brows furrowed further as she listened to Alexander's words.

She could sense his sincerity, but she also knew that she couldn't let her guard down based on that alone.

"You're welcome," she replied softly, trying to keep her emotions in check. "... but I didn't do it for you. I did it for your Grandma because I know how much she hated things like this."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Alexander spoke again, his voice filled with hope, "Camilla, can we meet up perhaps? I really have a lot I need to say to you... please."

Camilla sighed, closing her eyes briefly to gather her thoughts, "No...you had the chance to explain whatever it was you wanted to say when we were still married, but... not anymore. I've moved on and no longer care," she said firmly, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Goodbye Alexander," she stated, ending the call and going as far as blocking his number to prevent any further contact.

Tears welled up in Camilla's eyes, and she felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her.

She knew it was the right decision to protect herself from any further hurt, but it didn't make it any easier.

Taking a deep breath, she tossed the phone on the bed, reminding herself of the strength she possessed and the importance of prioritizing her well-being moving forward.
