Chapter 1766: New Lord (Part 2)

CLAP!

Zin’s palms slammed together, creating a stunning shockwave that rippled through the man in several waves.

The sound sent the man crashing back to the ground, kicking up waves of gray sand as he fell.

Click!

As soon as Zin snapped his fingers, he found himself on the surface, right next to the man who had hurried to get up using his lightning bolts.

His face reflected both fear and genuine confusion. He couldn’t understand how Zin could be so strong.

’He just became a Baron! What is this speed?! What is this energy level?! ’ The man exclaimed inwardly, gathering strength for his next strike.

If he lost to Zin and didn’t even wound him, it would be the end of his reputation. He couldn’t let that happen! Not in front of dozens of other Lords!

But he hardly had a choice.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

Zin’s fist trembled as the sound waves formed into circles. A total of three circles now hovered above his hand.

BAM!

His fist crashed into the man, as the three sound circles overlapped, releasing all the accumulated energy in a single hit.

"GHA!"

A stream of blood gushed from the man’s mouth, flooding the ground as Zin raised his fist again.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

With every punch, Zin used the sound circles to amplify his strikes significantly. Time and again, his fist crashed into the man, a Baron, who could do nothing against the onslaught of his blows.

In fact, Zin wasn’t attacking as fast as he could, even at the Black Threat Level. But his punches were heavy, pinning the man to the ground and shattering his bones. These weren’t fists or sharp blades, but hammers that concentrated all their power into a single point.

Kaerno leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand.

"Hmm, how curious. So first he gathers sounds around him, then turns them into circles, and after that makes them release their energy all at once? Every one of his punches is a small blast. A dangerous power," Kaerno uttered. His words were an analysis, quite accurate ones.

But Es’aha was watching this battle from a different perspective.

"His abilities... He uses them far more aggressively."

Tap.

Leerna’s hand fell on her shoulder. "What do you think of this? Is this a problem for you?"

Before answering, Es’aha looked at Zin, at his cold eyes, before he landed another punch, and blood flooded his face.

"No. Except for the fight against that Phantom, Zin has never been serious before. He had no reason to be. He could defeat anyone, and he knew it. Perhaps that’s why he saw no point in the Grim County. But now..."

BAM!

With Zin’s next punch, the corners of Es’aha’s lips curled upward as something very rare for such a serious person as her appeared on her face, a smile of delight.

She relished watching Zin establish his dominance. How he displayed his strength and claimed his place in the food chain.

BAM!

That punch was the last as Zin raised his fist. Blood dripped from his knuckles as he looked at the man’s face, shattered by a barrage of heavy blows.

Neither of them had used many abilities, nor had they summoned their weapons, but there was no need for that. If Zin only needed his fists to deal with his opponent, then the difference in their strength was obvious.

"So that was a Baron rank?" Zin muttered before glancing around.

Among the monsters watching the fight were several more Barons. Two of them looked at him warily, but the others showed no fear in their eyes. They didn’t see Zin as a threat.

That was the answer he was looking for.

’I see. I still have a long way to go before reaching the Viscount rank. I can defeat some Barons, but the stronger ones won’t let me win so easily. Well, at least I’m not the weakest, even though I’m supposed to be. That’s something.’

Step.

Zin walked past the man, who was barely breathing in his condition, but was alive.

At the Lord Level, the monsters possessed truly sturdy bodies. Even without defensive or healing abilities, they were resilient.

Sure, he would need time to recover, but with the Bone Lakes, that wasn’t a big problem.

Under the gaze of many Lords, Zin leapt up, landing atop Kaerno’s pillar. His left arm was back in place. The energy burst from the evolution at the Lord Level was powerful enough to heal virtually any wound.

Now, three Fingers stood before him, but his gaze was fixed on only one of them.

He looked at Es’aha, and a slight smile appeared on his face a few moments later.

"Hey, is there room in your pillar for one more Lord?"

Es’aha’s eyes widened as warmth spread through her chest.

"Of course..." She smiled, unable to hide her joy. "You’ll become an important part of my pillar. I’m sure the day will come when you’ll have your own."

Zin shrugged.

"Well, it’s not that simple. It took me quite a while to reach this level, but who knows? Maybe it really will happen someday?"

Es’aha nodded silently, her eyes full of happiness.

Kaerno smirked, turning his head.

"Oh, how sweet. Zin, congratulations, you’re one of us now."

Leerna, who was standing behind Es’aha, nodded deeply and stepped forward.

"Yes. Today, in the Hollow Lands, we have a new Lord!"

Kaerno turned his gaze aside. He knew that even if it was Zin, they still couldn’t avoid a feast in his honor. After all, it was an important event, even if it all started with an unconventional battle.

He was curious about something else.

’Adam, you felt that too, didn’t you? You know that Zin is now a Lord. Hehehe, I wonder how you reacted. For you, that path will be much harder than for Zin.’

...

At the same time, Adam stood before the barrier alongside Daar’ax. He was supposed to move on, but he was still gazing into the distance as if aware of all the events unfolding at the Kaerno’s pillar.

"Zin, you actually did it..."

Adam shook his head and turned toward the barrier.

"That means I have to move on. I’m behind again. I need to create the Third Grand Star as quickly as possible!"
