Mabel Quinn didn’t insist either. After leaving the Ancestral Hall, she felt her mood calmed a little.

"Is the food not to your liking?" Mr. Kang asked.

She remained silent for a while, "Meeting Alice every day and working in the same place isn’t really suitable. Maybe I’ll stay over at Quinn Film Industry for a while, until the ’Empress’ is completed."

As she spoke, she looked up and smiled at him, "Actually, changing work environments might be good. My uncle did suggest I work at Quinn’s side, and now it seems fitting."

But her smile looked so forced, as if she was saying it to comfort him.

His gaze deepened involuntarily, his chest felt as if something was blocking it, making him so uncomfortable.
