Chapter 1003 - 1042: Fateful Connections

Kyle Kinston and Dorian Howards went to the study, "Regarding the business loss your Howards Family suffered, I’ll make arrangements. The Kinston Family will cover those losses," Kyle said.

"That’s not necessary," Dorian replied. "I’m actually quite surprised that you really let Alice’s father go." Originally, he had prepared for the worst but didn’t expect such a dramatic turn of events.

"I didn’t expect it either," Kyle murmured, not realizing he would spare someone he hated. "I just know that if I don’t let Adrian Conley go, Mabel might never be happy."

Dorian couldn’t help but marvel at the power of love. Only Mabel Quinn could make Kyle change his mind.

"Thanks!" Dorian lightly patted his friend’s shoulder, knowing how difficult the decision was for Kyle.

After the two left, Kyle looked at Mabel Quinn’s fingers, "Why aren’t you wearing the ring? We’re already married; shouldn’t you be wearing the wedding ring?"

"That ring attracts too much attention, and I’m afraid of losing it during work, so I kept it for special occasions," she replied and took out the box containing the Ruby Ring. Within it were some of her precious items.

"Look, it’s safely kept here," Mabel said.

Kyle looked at two other items in the box: a longevity lock and a White Jade Ring.

He had seen these before. One was the longevity lock that her father sought from the Quinn Family’s main house, and the White Jade Ring was a gift from Edward Quinn.

Thinking of Edward Quinn, a deep thought flickered in Kyle’s eyes. It reminded him of something he needed to discuss with Edward.

"This jade is quite nice," Kyle remarked, examining the White Jade Ring. "Speaking of which, Edward Quinn treats you exceptionally well."

"Yes, Uncle treats me very kindly," Mabel agreed. "But perhaps I benefited from my father and Clover’s favor. Uncle has sentiments for my father, and I resemble Clover a bit. That’s why he’s so good to me."

After a pause, Mabel continued, "Actually, this White Jade Ring is originally Clover’s. Uncle bought it for Clover back then."

"Clover’s?" Kyle was slightly taken aback.

"It seems some things happened, and it ended up back in Uncle’s possession, who then gave it to me," Mabel explained. "Actually, I feel this ring should return to Clover. If one day Uncle can find Clover again, I will return the ring to her."

Kyle thoughtfully looked at the ring in his hand, "You and Clover seem quite destined."

"Indeed, if I hadn’t asked Uncle before, finding out that Clover once gave birth to a stillborn child, I would have wondered if I were Clover’s child," Mabel said, touching her nose. "Even though I’ve never truly met Clover, I sincerely hope she’s doing well and that she can reunite with Uncle someday."

"After so many years, if she hasn’t appeared in front of your uncle, unless she’s dead, it would mean she has no desire to see your uncle again," Kyle stated.
