Chapter 129: The World Seed

Chapter 129: The World Seed

*Era of the Dao, Blue Star Kingdom, World Seed Dimension*

The air inside this pocket dimension was no longer a gaseous substance, but a heavy mass of incandescent heat that seemed to want to burn the lungs with every breath. Xuan BaiShe stood on a ledge of black basalt, observing the rivers of magma that snaked below in a dull roar.

Even in this hell, the young scholar maintained a stable posture, although his forehead was beaded with a fine sweat that the heat instantly evaporated. Beside him, Long Huang, the Black Flame Dragoness, let her demonic aura collide with the pure Yang Qi that saturated the atmosphere. Her ten black horns glowed under the light of the volcanoes, and her eyes of absolute black stared at the shapes that were beginning to emerge from the lava.

About thirty creatures made of liquid fire and molten rock leaped out of the magma. They had no distinct faces, only glowing slits from which destructive Yang energy burst forth.

"These elemental insects are annoyingly tenacious," murmured BaiShe in a monotonous voice, adjusting his sage monocle that reflected the purple glows of the setting. "Their numbers will eventually weigh on our Qi reserves if we do not change our approach."

Long Huang let out a snort of contempt, her black flame wings unfolding behind her back with a sinister rustle.

"You talk too much, little snake..." she spat, a column of smoke escaping from her dark lips. "Let me reduce these piles of embers to cold ashes. My black dragon lineage will not back down from a fire as mediocre as this one."

She rushed forward first, her gothic silhouette becoming a flash of darkness in the middle of the furnace.

She activated her .

Black flames burst from her palms, wrapping around the Yang creatures. Unlike the surrounding fire, her flames did not burn the flesh, but directly devoured the spiritual essence of the monsters. One of the creatures tried to grab her with a lava arm, but Long Huang ripped the limb off with a sharp tug. The fiery stump shot out a fountain of liquid Yang Qi that stained the ground with a shrill hiss.

Seeing that the first wave was only the prelude to a much larger assault, BaiShe understood that he needed to stabilize his own power in this region with high Qi concentration so as not to become a burden in this hostile environment. He closed his eyes for a short moment, calming the beats of his Omega Heart.

’This young scholar must draw from his deepest reserves to impose his own law here...’ he thought as an erratic heat began to circulate in his meridians.

"" he pronounced.

A shockwave of primordial Qi exploded from his body, repelling the surrounding flames. Under Long Huang’s eyes, the transformation took place...

Golden and black scales, inherited from the Golden Dragon lineage and reinforced by Long Huang’s essence, appeared on his forearms and along his temples. His silver hair turned into a deep jet black, absorbing the light of the volcanoes, while his pupils turned into an intense violet, stretching into reptilian slits. Two golden horns pierced his dark locks, marking his status as supreme predator.

BaiShe opened his hands, which had transformed into sharp claws capable of tearing the spatial fabric.

"Good... let’s see if these creatures appreciate the taste of Pride Qi," he declared with a carnivorous smile that never left his jade lips.

He disappeared from his position to reappear in the center of a group of five Yang guardians. His speed, boosted by his draconic form, surpassed the perception of an ordinary Law Master. He grabbed the head of the first creature and squeezed it between his clawed fingers. The rock skull burst with a dry crack, releasing a flow of Yang energy that was instantly absorbed by BaiShe’s pores thanks to his Devourer Physique.

Simultaneously, he used his left hand to project an absolute cold discharge.

In this world of fire, the thermal contrast was devastating. The Yang creature suddenly froze, its lava solidifying into brittle volcanic glass before exploding under the pressure of its own internal Qi.

Long Huang, who had just decapitated another monster by ripping out its fiery spine, turned toward him with an involuntary flash of respect in her black eyes.

"You are finally presentable, BaiShe..." she threw between two attacks. "But do not think that this will be enough. Look at the horizon!"

Indeed, the fight was far from over. Hundreds of new silhouettes were emerging from the distant craters, forming an army of fire that seemed infinite. The ground vibrated under their synchronized steps, and the saturation of Yang Qi was reaching a critical level.

"The World Seed generates these defenses in response to our intention to plunder," analyzed BaiShe while making his Qi blades appear. ""

Thousands of translucent swords materialized in the blood-red sky. BaiShe injected his frost Qi into them, making the blades bluish and steaming.

With a simple thought, he ordered the Qi rain to fall on the rising horde. The impacts were of a visceral brutality: the swords pierced the elemental torsos, severed limbs and nailed the monsters to the basalt ground. Fire blood gushed out in geysers, saturating the air with a smell of sulfur and molten metal.

"They are still coming..." observed Long Huang, her muscles tense from the prolonged effort. She opened her mouth, accumulating devastating black energy in her throat. .

The sonic vibration was so powerful that it tore through the veil of heat, reducing to dust about fifty Law Master creatures that were attempting a frontal approach. The shockwaves caused rock pillars to collapse, crushing the attackers under tons of debris.

Yet, despite their overwhelming power, the two companions saw the red tide continue to rise. Every monster killed seemed to be replaced by ten more aggressive ones.

"These wastes have no sense of hierarchy," growled Long Huang, her hands stained with cooled lava. "We should charge straight toward the center of the volcano. Staying here to massacre them one by one is a waste of time."

BaiShe adjusted his monocle, his violet pupils scanning the energy flows to locate the entrance to the central chamber.

"You are right, my Queen. The entertainment is starting to become repetitive," he replied with coldness. "However, we must first eliminate the elite guardians hiding behind this mass of vermin."
