Wei Yuanjie turned a look full of worry to Wu Long, sensing where this was going, but was shocked to see the latter’s eyes fill with more and more amusement.
"...there appears to be suspicion, and worry. It is a heavy accusation, and I make it with a heavy heart, but there is concern that the friend on the scene may be a Corrupt Path cultivator"
The whole arena erupted into an uproar as members of the Seven Extreme Swords Sect appeared in groups at the corners of the fighting pit, encircling Duan Feng who stood in the center.
But knowing that other two Sects, and the Martial Alliance members wouldn’t stand idly by, didn’t make any immediate further actions.
"This is indeed a heavy accusation, Sect Elder Yifan", the envoy from the Martial Alliance stepped out, as he was the highest authority when it came to Evil Path, Corrupt Path, or Demonic Path cultivators.
"I am afraid we cannot avoid making that accusation. Of course, we are willing to wait for the investigation. However, we have our ways to detect signs from Sword Intent. It was not apparent to us before that because he concealed it, likely fearing this discovery. "Hmm", the envoy from the Martial Alliance traced his chin in deep thought, he was secretly aligned with the 9th prince and the Ember Palm Pavilion, so he was keen to wrap this situation favorably for Duan Feng, but even he had to admit it was suspicious, and Corrupt Path accusations were a very dangerous thing to tamper with, "It seems we need to have a further investigation..."

Their representative, in light of being our partner today, will make a little advertisement"
This statement caused Ko Fuan, who was here representing the City Lord’s Manor, and until here was quietly witnessing the scene, to widen his eyes with shock, which only intensified in the next moment.
Next to Qian Ying came out a familiar old man, Zhao Xieren.

As he was pronouncing the latter part the faces of the Seven Extreme Sword Sect’s members elongated and changed color, and the whole arena soon erupted in another uproar.
"H-How can you prove...", one of the Outer Court Sect Elders of the Seven Extreme Sword Sect began, but was stopped by another one, who shook his head.
If the Soaring Feather Trading Company made such a statement they naturally had the means to back it - after all, their entire reputation was staked on it. This was too important for a moment to make a blunder with false bragging about their product.
And it was one thing to make an accusation, which could have been a misunderstanding and error on their part, it was completely another story to take a stand on that accusation, especially since they knew perfectly well the accusation was empty.
And just as they thought, the Soaring Feather Trading Company came prepared. They used Spiritual Treasures of Evil Path, Corrupt Path and Demonic Path, obtained likely by purchase from the Crow King’s Nest’s Inner Palace specifically for demonstration purposes, to clearly show the functions of the formation.
More than that, the treasures they chose specifically had function of masking the traces of the Cultivation Paths they originated from, but were not able to fool the formation.
"It seems we have seen everything that was needed to be seen. The time of accusations is now past, and time of celebration, paying respects to the winner, and praise of achievement has arrived", at this point the man who was silent throughout all of the events stood up.
