Chapter 311 - 171. Mu Jin Huan, let’s get a divorce._3

The weather had slowly warmed up, but the bedroom still had the heater on. Nan Wan, with a cold body, was nestled in his embrace, clearly feeling his warmth.Lips pressed together, she responded softly, "Before my period, I feel uncomfortable all over."

Upon hearing this, a flicker passed through Mu Jin Huan’s dark eyes, but they quickly returned to calm.

He leaned back against the headboard, the calloused pads of his fingers gently stroking the woman’s shoulder, his handsome face calm, adding an air of inscrutability.

He stated simply, "Your period should be at the beginning of the month."

Nan Wan’s body froze, and even her heartbeat seemed to pause for a moment.

A few seconds later, she looked up at him, smiling lightly, "It’s delayed for too long, that’s why it’s more uncomfortable this time, won’t you sympathize with me?"

Their eyes met, and Mu Jin Huan couldn’t see any irregularities in those slightly smiling eyes.

"Is it very uncomfortable?"

Nan Wan nodded.

Mu Jin Huan lowered his head and kissed the corner of her lips, his voice low and deep, "What should I do to make you feel better?"

Nan Wan closed her eyes, snuggling deeper into his embrace, murmuring softly, "Don’t do anything, just hold me."

Hearing her words, a faint smile appeared in Mu Jin Huan’s eyes. He reached out to turn off the light and lay down in the bedding.

His arm tightened around her, his thin lips close to her ear, asking slowly, "What are you hiding from me?"

In the dark, a person’s senses can be much sharper.

The man’s warm breath fell into her ear, tickling her, causing Nan Wan to laugh out loud.

Instead of answering his question, she said, "Tomorrow the weather will be great, the night after the rain should have stars. Let’s go to Jintian Restaurant, the most expensive one in Qing City, I’ll treat you."

"The most expensive..." Mu Jin Huan chuckled quietly, pulling her back, "Mrs. Mu, do you have the money?"

He no longer deliberately blew hot air onto her neck, so Nan Wan did not shrink back, wrapping her arms around his waist, wanting to melt into his embrace.

Her voice was light and shallow, "Yes, I do, I earned it through hard work, you can eat without worry."

"Shall I pick you up from the hospital after work then?"

Nan Wan responded somewhat unhappily, "What else? Am I supposed to walk there?"

Mu Jin Huan snorted softly, his voice indulgent yet helpless, "Where does this temper come from?" ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴠɪsɪᴛ novel·fiɾe·net

"Sleep, I’m sleepy."

Her tone was stiff, but it paradoxically made her sound very cute.

Mu Jin Huan chuckled, then placed a goodnight kiss on her forehead, tucking her in, "Sleep now."

She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but the man’s breathing beside her was steady.

Nan Wan was still wide awake, more awake than ever before. There was no moon tonight, and the bedroom was shrouded in impenetrable darkness.

The more she cherished it, the harder it was to let go.

So, Nan Wan, tomorrow night you must let him go.

At six in the morning, Nan Wan got out of bed quietly.

Perhaps because he was used to her presence, or maybe because he was too exhausted from travel, Mu Jin Huan was still asleep.

The sky was turning light, and a faint glow filled the bedroom.

His features were much gentler while asleep. Nan Wan stood by the bed watching him for a long time before leaving the master bedroom to wash up in the second bedroom’s bathroom.

The dark circles under her eyes were heavy, and she had to use makeup to cover the fatigue on her face.

Aunt Zhou was just getting up, and seeing Nan Wan downstairs so early surprised her, but once she thought about it, she felt quite pleased, "Madam, are you going to make breakfast for Mr. Mu yourself?"

Though it was very rare, she remembered.

"Yes," Nan Wan said as she walked through the dining room into the kitchen and opened the fridge to take out ingredients, "Aunt Zhou, you can sleep a bit more."

Aunt Zhou stood to the side, speaking softly, "I’ve slept well enough; I’ll just stay here and chat with you."

Nan Wan smiled and nodded.

Everything was just like before; Aunt Zhou didn’t interfere with the breakfast preparation, only helping by handing plates.

After making breakfast, Nan Wan was ready to go upstairs to wake Mr. Mu.

Halfway up the stairs, she suddenly remembered something and turned back to tell Aunt Zhou, "Oh, Aunt Zhou, my sister is coming today to pick up Barton, please open the door for her when she arrives."

"Huh?" Aunt Zhou asked, puzzled. The dog had a level of understanding and, after all this time together, she was quite attached, "Is Barton leaving?"

Nan Wan gave a faint smile, "Not exactly, just keeping her company for a few days."

This home, she had only brought Barton with her when she came, so there was nothing else to pack up...

Aunt Zhou felt relieved and replied, "Oh, okay."

Mu Jin Huan woke up abruptly, and finding his arms empty after opening his eyes, he threw off the covers and got out of bed without a second thought.
