Chapter 443 - 180 Decision_2
"No one’s going to control you anymore? Happy about it?"
Liang Wei pulled out a chair and sat down.
Liang Cai’s face was full of misery. "What are you saying? You’re my biological father."
"From what I see, you don’t even treat me as your father. You’re out there chasing women and living it up every day. But now, you ran into someone serious. Learned your lesson yet? Or are you just waiting to recover before you try to get back at Feng Yueyang?"
"Dad, I’ve been beaten this badly. Shouldn’t you avenge me? And he still wants to acquire our company? In his dreams."
"First, you brought this on yourself—you deserve it. Second, it’s my company, not ’ours.’ And third, I’ve already contacted Feng Group and will soon discuss the acquisition."
Liang Cai was wrapped up like a mummy, his face especially, with only his eyes exposed. But even now, his agitation and indignation were unmistakable.
"Dad, do you have to be so heartless? I’m your biological son."
"Even for a son, accounts must be settled properly. The shares you hold are insignificant to the overall situation. Either stay in the company quietly and behave, or get out of the country and never come back."
Liang Cai rarely saw this stern side of his father. A slight chill ran through him, and he fell silent.
Liang Wei softened his tone. "I’m doing this for your own good."
Liang Cai let out a cold laugh. "For my own good? Dad, do you have any idea that Feng Yueyang is just a wretched coward clawing his way up by clinging to a woman? It was that woman who crushed my hand."
Liang Wei narrowed his eyes. "A woman?"
He knew Feng Yueyang couldn’t have achieved his current position on his own; there must be someone supporting him from behind. But he hadn’t been able to uncover any clues.
Turns out it’s a woman.
Liang Cai’s eyes gleamed with venom and fear. Through gritted teeth, he said, "It was a woman—really young. Feng Yueyang calls her boss. She gives off an eerie vibe and is ruthless. Dad, you absolutely must uncover her background and avenge me!"
"You’ve got the nerve to talk about revenge? Were they even wrong to beat you? You had it coming."
After a brief pause, Liang Wei frowned and asked, "What does this woman look like?"
Liang Cai was momentarily stunned, then shook his head. "It was way too dark—I couldn’t see clearly. All I remember is that she was wearing glasses, very thin and tall, and definitely not over twenty years old."
Not over twenty years old?
Liang Wei furrowed his brow thoughtfully.
He had long suspected that the person behind Feng Yueyang was someone high-ranking within Tianlu Bank, and after Xie Beichun’s downfall, he was even more convinced.
Feng Yueyang was merely a tool in Tianlu Bank’s hands—or more precisely, a chess piece. With Xie Beichun taken down, if he didn’t wise up, he’d be the next to fall. Liang Cai, that foolish son of his, would only end up dying even faster.
Success depends on knowing when to act wisely—this has always been true throughout history.
Still, he hadn’t expected the person behind it all to be such a young girl.
Then again, Tianlu Bank was brimming with talent, attracting the world’s most cutting-edge prodigies and putting them to use. Their principle of selecting talent without constraint and the visionary leadership of their head made the consortium younger and rejuvenated with more vitality and innovation.
The future unquestionably belonged to Tianlu Bank. So he had no choice but to agree to Feng Group’s acquisition deal, hoping that when the time came, Feng Yueyang might spare Liang Cai’s life for the sake of his old face.
To even qualify as a chess piece on the board, one must possess either fortune or ability—that, in itself, is remarkable.
Feng Yueyang’s future would certainly go far beyond this.
But sadly, Liang Cai couldn’t understand his painstaking efforts.
Life and death are fated; wealth and honor lie in the hands of destiny. Whether the future brings blessing or misfortune, it’s all up to his son’s own fate now.

Yan Lu glanced at the time. "It’s been over twenty minutes—why hasn’t An’an come back yet? Do you think something happened to her?"
Yan Lu grew increasingly uneasy.
Gao Yuyue chuckled meaningfully. "She just texted me. Said she’s tired and went back to the hotel first."
Liu Runxi abruptly looked up.
Gao Yuyue lifted her brows.
Liu Runxi stood up—he couldn’t bear to stay here a second longer. "I’m leaving."
Huang Xi hurried to catch up. "It’s still early—don’t rush off. There’s a game coming up next."
Liu Runxi stormed out without turning back.
Yan Lu leaned closer to Gao Yuyue. "You really think An’an went back to the hotel?"
Gao Yuyue munched on sunflower seeds. "With her frail constitution, don’t you already know? She gets breathless after walking just two steps."
Yan Lu was clearly skeptical. "I’m not stupid. Just now, I caught that look on Rong Xianning’s face—he clearly knows An’an from the past. How come I’ve never heard An’an mention it? How’d the two of them get involved with each other?"
"That I wouldn’t know. You should know her by now—she’s always tight-lipped. If she doesn’t want to tell you, even the King of Heaven couldn’t make her talk."
Yan Lu sighed. "Poor An’an’s deskmate... Love unrequited."
