Chapter 851: You're Not Letting Me Live!

Chapter 851: You're Not Letting Me Live!

When Jiang Feng arrived at Southern City Hospital, Murong Qian was still there.

She had just finished her work and hadn't had time to take off her white coat.

Her graceful and fiery figure, wrapped in her professional attire, exuded a unique charm.

Nose like jade, teeth like pearls, almond-shaped eyes, peach-like lips—no matter when you looked at her face, it was always breathtakingly beautiful.

Underneath the elegant and smooth lines of her delicate cheeks was a straight and captivating jade-like neck. The near-transparent whiteness of her skin at the collarbone blended seamlessly with the white collar of her coat, making it hard to discern where one ended and the other began.

Below the collar, a proud pair of curves stood high, inviting both covetous thoughts and potential transgression. Her slender waist and slightly rounded hips formed a perfect arc, further enhanced by her innate sensuality and slightly cold elegance, making her irresistibly enchanting and mesmerizing.

"You rascal, if there weren't any issues, I'd never see you."

Seeing Jiang Feng arrive, Murong Qian pouted her pink, translucent lips and spoke, her tone even more alluring.

"Ahem, where is he?"

Jiang Feng gave an awkward smile, wary of spending too much time alone with this dangerously attractive mature woman, and asked.

"He's awake, in the ward. I'll take you there."

Murong Qian rolled her eyes at him; this little brother of hers had the desire but not the courage.

Then, she turned around and led Jiang Feng to the ward.

Jiang Feng, watching her full, shapely backside, was lost in thought but quickly averted his eyes.

Inside the ward.

Jing Wuming was indeed awake, lying on the hospital bed in a daze.

His eyes were fixed on the ceiling, hardly blinking, looking almost like a vegetative state.

"Are you sure he's really regained consciousness?"

After entering, Jiang Feng looked at the motionless Jing Wuming and asked Murong Qian.

"Of course."

Murong nodded, then casually took a washed apple from a plastic bag on the bedside table, picked up a small knife, and started peeling it with her slender fingers.

This was bought for Jing Wuming by a nurse who pitied him during a routine check.

You could say this guy was pretty miserable, injured so badly, lingering at death's door for so long only to have no relatives or friends visit him.

Since waking up, he had been lying there, seemingly troubled by something that he couldn't figure out.

Jiang Feng waved a hand in front of Jing Wuming's face a couple of times, and Jing Wuming finally shifted his gaze to Jiang Feng.

"Not bad, better than I expected; his brain seems fine." Jiang Feng was relieved.

Jing Wuming's lips moved slightly, but he ultimately said nothing, staring at Jiang Feng as if looking at a monster.

At this moment, Murong Qian finished peeling the apple and handed it over.

"Thank you, I don't eat..."

Jing Wuming managed to say, expressing his gratitude to Murong Qian.

Murong Qian was momentarily stunned, and then the apple in her hand was snatched away by Jiang Feng.

"What are you thinking? It wasn't for you."

Jiang Feng gave Jing Wuming a disdainful look and took a bite of the apple himself.

Jing Wuming: "..."

Murong Qian was a bit embarrassed.

She hadn't really peeled it for Jing Wuming, not that she lacked compassion, but as a pampered lady, she wasn't accustomed to serving just anyone; she only served Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng, feeling justified, enjoyed Murong Qian's service as he crunched the apple.

"Are you here just to get on my nerves?"

Jing Wuming was about to roll his eyes; he was extremely frustrated.

"Not really; I heard you had a miraculous recovery, so I came to check on you."

Jiang Feng finished the apple and casually sat down on a chair by the bed: "I didn't expect you'd pull through."

Jing Wuming gave Murong Qian a difficult look: "Doctor, can I have a moment alone with him?"

Murong Qian pouted in annoyance. This guy was trying to get back at her by having a conversation out of her earshot—what couldn't she hear?

With a cold snort, she turned and walked out.

After watching Murong Qian close the door, Jing Wuming withdrew his gaze and sighed: "Is she your woman?"

"Does it look like it?"

"Yes!"

Jing Wuming nodded: "Actually, I woke up during the surgery. This beautiful doctor, though young, had the most authority out of all the experts! She never smiles at others, always very serious. I heard people secretly call her the Iceberg Doctor, but in front of you, she seemed much gentler, almost girlish. You're really lucky!"

Jiang Feng didn't comment.

He knew well about Murong Qian's affection towards him, but it was a debt of love he would have to pay back someday.

"Jiang Feng, do you know why I was in a daze just now?" Jing Wuming suddenly asked.

"Why?"

"I was wondering why you're so strong?"

Jing Wuming furrowed his brows: "In Jiangdong, anyone who could push me that far but still be unfazed... I can't think of a single person other than you."

"So?"

Jiang Feng remained earnest.

"Jiang Feng, level with me,"

Jing Wuming said seriously: "In that battle, how much of your strength did you use? Was it at least fifty percent?"

Jiang Feng chuckled dismissively and shook his head.

"Could it be forty percent?"

Jing Wuming was unwilling to accept.

Jiang Feng continued shaking his head.

"Thirty percent? Now, that's just too much!" Jing Wuming was getting anxious.

Jiang Feng still shook his head.

"Twenty percent? Damn! How dare you!" Jing Wuming, disregarding his bandages, moved, glaring as if seeking an explanation from Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng sighed and kept shaking his head.

"Ten percent? You're saying you only used ten percent of your strength?"

Jing Wuming felt near despair, on the brink of coughing up blood.

"To be precise, I didn't exert any strength at all."

Jiang Feng calmly shook his head: "To be blunt, if I had to make a comparison, my strength would be as vast as the universe, while you are merely a speck of dust on the ground—have you heard of the sands of the Ganges?"

"Jiang Feng, you're killing me!"

Jing Wuming closed his eyes in hopelessness, feeling his life losing all meaning.
