Chapter 380 Recruit
Chapter 380 Recruit
Ten years later,
Soul Society, Seireitei,
Spiritual Art Academy recruitment day,
"Eero, are you sure I will be recruited? I don't know anything except fighting," Renji asked, looking at a handsome boy with a blindfold standing beside him. Renji's voice was tight with nervous energy.
"Of course we have rare spiritual reitsu in our body; we will be easily recruited, idiot renji." Rukia, standing on the other side, spoke bluntly, looking at Renji as if watching an idiot.
"Hey, I am not an idiot. Soon I will surpass both of you and become strongest." Renji spoke hotheadedly, looking at Rukia and Ero.
"Let's go; it's our turn." Suddenly Eero spoke and then walked forward toward the examiner and a round ball beside him on the table.
"Your name is Eero right, from Inuzure, the 78th district in the south, a civilian with no background; put your hand on the Reitsu detector."
The examiner asked, looking at the register in his hand, and then glanced at Eero's face and his blindfold, a flicker of professional curiosity in his eyes.
"Yes," Eero nodded and then put his hand on the round transparent ball.
Instantly it lit up with a mild blue spiritual light.
"You passed; you can go inside; next one, Abarai Renji." The examiner nodded and put the pass stamp on the register, then called the next candidate name,
Eero nodded and walked inside the building in order to collect the uniform and dormitory keys and learn about the academy guidelines.
Outside, both Renji and Rukia also passed the Reitsu test, then they walked inside the building.
Just reaching inside the building, both Rukia and Renji bodies froze as if something had frozen them in place; they immediately knew whose ability this was. A cold, heavy stillness enveloped them, impossible to fight.
"After today our ways are separated; keep in mind don't mention me in front of anyone inside or outside this academy."
Eero, standing in front of them, spoke expressionlessly and then left, passing by them and walking toward his dormitory.
Rukia and Renji were released; they were surprised, turned, and glanced at his back, then Renji clenched his fist. An angry expression shrouded his face, and he wanted to point at his back, the heat of a ten-year-long rivalry sparking in his spirit.
"Don't you remember his threat; don't point at him again. I think we should listen to him; if he wants that, then we should leave him alone." Rukia suddenly spoke, stopping the Renji outburst, while looking at Eero back deeply, a mixture of pain and resignation in her gaze. Then she turned around and walked toward the female staff.
"Damn, soon I will surpass him and break his teeth with a punch." Renji muttered annoyingly, clenched his fist, and then followed her as he walked toward the male staff.
Both of them then gave their body measurements for the academy uniform and got the dormitory keys and left the building.
On the other hand, Eero appeared inside his dormitory room, looking at the small room with a single bed, a table, and a chair.
'Although it's small, it's better than those sharing rooms,' Eero thought to himself, the plainness a welcome change from the chaos of Rukongai, then, laying down on the bed, adjusted his blindfold.

Few days later,
Freshman orientation day,
Eero appeared and stood in line with other freshman, looking around at the other students, recognizing some familiar faces.
Then a middle-aged man appeared on the stage and started speaking, "Welcome to the Shino Academy; it's the beginning of a new race; some of you might exceed everyone and reach your destination; some of you may be left behind; just keep in mind that if you work harder, you will definitely reach your destination."
After giving a staggering speech, he turned and glanced at the right side of the stage, raised his hand, and added, "Now, at this wonderful occasion, I invite the students favorite, captain of the fifth division, Mr. Aizen, on stage. He will share some kind world and insight into reitsu; listen carefully and engrave everything you learn today; it will be a valuable experience for your future."
After speaking, the instructor backed away with a smile, and another man appeared with a kind and Buddhist expression on his face.
"Wow, it's captain Aizen." Instantly, girls exclamatory whispers spread around; girls stared at him with adoration, while boys worshiped his existence.
Eero heard the commotion around, raised his finger, and pulled up the blindfold. He gazed at the stage with his waveless purple gold pupils, looking at the simple, kind, and harmless expression on Aizen's face.
'A true master of disguise, so that's how he maintains his disguise in soul society, letting students see his Zanpakuto shikai on their first orientation day; today probably every student is present,' Eero thought to himself, looking at the students around, sensing the collective anticipation.
Aizen glanced around, seeing everyone watching him with reverence. A smile appeared on his face, then he spoke kindly.
"Student, how are you doing? Congratulations on admitting to Shin'o College. My name is Aizen Sasuke, captain of the fifth district."
Aizen congratulated everyone kindly and introduced himself, then talked about his expertise, the arts, and culture, then explained the purpose of spiritual reitsu in rare individual possession and their mission, and finally talked about the Zanpakuto, a spiritual weapon that can let a shinigami use their spiritual reitsu in a proper way.
