Chapter 1538 - 1476: Changping’s Lesson
Wufu and Ah Jiu waited at the door, watching Master Gui approach, with a short servant trailing behind him.
"Busy man, how do you have time to come here?" Wufu stepped forward, his gaze falling on the servant behind him. A change of personnel?
Master Gui moved slightly to reveal the servant, saying, "Delivering someone."
Wufu stared at the servant—no, the maid—this was definitely a girl, and her figure seemed familiar.
Just as a name popped up in his mind, the girl lifted her head and softly called, "Wufu..."
"It’s really you, Zhao Min, you fool, you’re really something!" Wufu sneered.
That person was none other than the missing Princess Changping, now dressed as a servant, looking timidly at her. Hearing Wufu’s insult, she awkwardly approached, softly calling, "Wufu," and reached out to tug her sleeve.
Wufu shook off her hand, saying, "Aren’t you quite capable? Ran away from home, so what are you doing here? Don’t call me!"
Changping’s eyes reddened, tears falling quickly, full of grievance.
Seeing this, Wufu immediately became furious. How dare she feel wronged, after making such a ruckus in the entire royal mansion, worrying everyone who cared for her, and now has the nerve to cry!
Just about to start scolding, Ah Jiu cleared his throat and said, "Wufu, Commandery Princess Changping has just arrived, why don’t you take her to freshen up? This isn’t the place to talk!"
Wufu held back her anger, coldly saying, "Follow me."
She walked ahead, with Changping trailing behind her like an aggrieved little wife.
Ah Jiu exchanged a glance with Master Gui, saying, "Care for a cup of tea?"
"Sure."
The two went inside, where a maid brought tea, and each took a cup to sit at the table and talk.
In another room, Wufu coldly eyed Changping, who was now dressed in new women’s clothes, clutching the corner of her outfit, and heavily snorted.
"Wufu, p-please don’t be like this, I’m scared!" Changping cautiously spoke, walking over.
"Oh, scared, are we? The dignified Commandery Princess Changping dared to run away from home, and now says she’s scared? Am I hearing this right? How bold you must be, with the courage of a leopard, to say you’re scared!"
Upon hearing this sarcasm, Changping began to cry again.
"You still dare cry? Because of you, the royal mansion has been in chaos, and Chuying and I have been searching for you in the dark. And you? Fine, we are just friends, not worthy. But when you did this, did you not think about your parents and brothers? Your mother is worried about you, lying half-dead in bed!"
Changping’s face turned crimson after being scolded, and she cried even louder. She had suffered enough these days, feeling frightened and uneasy, now even more so when scolded.
"Cry, cry, cry. If it were me, I’d be too ashamed to cry. To think you’re a commandery princess, I used to think highly of you. Running away from home—what a ridiculous thing to do. Well, since you’re so brave, don’t come back after leaving. Now, why appear in front of us? Where’s your pride? Your integrity?" Wufu scolded, poking her forehead as if hating iron for not becoming steel. "Are you stupid? I’ve never seen anyone as foolish as you. How senseless must you be to do such a shameless thing!"
"Go ahead, scold all you want. I don’t have any dignity left!" Changping wailed loudly.
Wufu’s mouth twitched, pointing at her, swallowing back her curses in frustration, boiling with anger like she was to blame instead!
