Chapter 590 - 584: Giving Him a Test (2)

Conjuring up a fantasy is one thing, but when it becomes reality, it’s something else entirely.

He took another drag, crushed the cigarette, and tossed it into the nearby trash can, exhaling smoke before asking, "You and Tiana, how far have you gotten?"

Aiden Shaw replied, "As far as what you’ve seen."

Though his voice seemed light, it carried a unique certainty that was distinctly his.

Julian Ford gazed at his handsome, aristocratic face, filled with helplessness, his almond-shaped eyes flickering slightly, as he asked in a deep voice, "So, do I call you brother-in-law?"

The very thought of this question felt suffocating.

Having only recently regained his sister, to suddenly have him as a brother-in-law...

Aiden Shaw’s lips curled into a faint smile, his gaze warm, "Yes, brother-in-law."

"You adapt quickly."

"Yes."

Julian Ford: "..."

He couldn’t quite describe his feelings at that moment, finding it hard to accept. He thought for a moment and then asked, "Does big brother know about this?"

"He was probably the first to know."

Julian Ford let out a raspy laugh, "He always seems to be ahead of everything."

Though he was laughing, Aiden Shaw detected a hint of coolness in his voice. He remained silent, not saying a word.

"Number four."

"Hmm?"

Julian Ford’s eyes turned serious, his voice even huskier, carrying all the sincerity of an older brother. Squinting slightly, his glance was oppressively sharp, as he placed a hand on Aiden’s shoulder, "She’s my only sister."

He turned his head to look at the hand on his left shoulder. The force was somewhat heavy, as if tugging at his heart. He looked up at Julian, equally imposing, "And she’s the only one I love."

He said this with great seriousness.

If it weren’t Tiana, Julian Ford would probably be the happiest one around.

Due to number four’s health issues, he’d been dogged by rumors for years and had distanced himself from women. This was the first time he’d fallen for someone.

He surely had good taste, his first crush being his Tiana.

He withdrew his hand, "I need to give you a test."

Aiden didn’t see this as a daunting task and looked back at Julian, "Okay."

"If within three months, you make her sad or fail to protect her, your relationship is on hold. Just do your job."

He didn’t hesitate, "Okay."

Julian Ford’s restless heart finally calmed down.

Yet, whenever he thought of Aiden Shaw being the closest person to his sister in the future, he still felt a bit sour inside, a touch uncomfortable.

Nothing could be done.

It could only be said that his little fox sister was too charming.

Aiden Shaw lifted his eyes and asked, "Anything else?"

"No."

"I’ll go to the ward to accompany her."

Julian Ford could sense that Aiden’s seriousness toward Tiana wasn’t just a fleeting passion. To him, such emotion seemed rather restrained, but for Tiana, it must be immensely intense.

"I’ll go check on mom. I’ll leave Tiana to you."

Aiden Shaw said, "Give her my regards."

"Alright."

After that, Aiden Shaw turned and walked toward the ward.

Julian Ford watched his departing figure, remembering his little fox sister’s worried expression, fearing his blame. He couldn’t help but shake his head.

His little fox sister was naturally protective, and the subconscious look in her eyes already indicated she thought of number four as hers.
