Don't Fall For Me, CEO

Chapter 1259: Your Death, Her Survival

Chapter 1259: Your Death, Her Survival

Joseph watched Laura Quinn losing control over Richard Donovan, and suddenly felt that his lifelong persistence was like a joke."Laura, what’s so good about him? Apart from that shot, he hasn’t done anything for you."

Yet Joseph spent almost his entire life trying to please her, even dressing to match Laura Quinn’s aesthetic.

But why did he end up losing to this man?

"At least he doesn’t push me to the brink every time like you do. Can you count how many times you’ve used explosives against me over the years?"

Every time he and Laura Quinn got into a conflict, Joseph would resort to a wave of bombs.

Sometimes they were strapped to pets she loved, sometimes placed in her office drawer, and other times directly at the old Quinn family mansion.

But strapping them directly onto Laura Quinn like today was the first.

Yet despite this, such threats made Laura Quinn live in constant fear every day.

"I just wanted to force you to be with me sooner."

Joseph was exasperated.

Perhaps knowing he was in the wrong about this, he went straight to the point: "Besides, I don’t want to discuss these things with you today. I just want July Quinn to pay for her crimes."

Laura Quinn sensed from Joseph’s extreme words that he intended to strike at July Quinn hard, so she firmly countered, "July hasn’t committed any crimes; victory and defeat are common in warfare. Why can’t you learn from experience and try again?"

"Why not take a shortcut? I don’t like wasting time and patience on unnecessary processes."

His time and patience had been entirely spent on Laura Quinn.

"That’s why you ended up utterly defeated," Laura Quinn screamed hysterically.

Yet Joseph turned around to persuade her: "Laura, don’t try to provoke me; it’s a consequence you can’t afford."

Before Richard Donovan and July Quinn appeared, Laura Quinn had been going in circles with him, using a roundabout strategy.

But after July Quinn and Richard Donovan appeared, especially after Richard was injured, Laura Quinn had been taking extreme measures.

Clearly, she intended to thoroughly provoke him, to make him press the bomb remote, not only ending it all but also ensuring that she and her daughter would never be controlled or harmed by him again.

Having detected Laura Quinn’s motive, Joseph was even less inclined to let her succeed.

So he cut straight to the point, "Listen up, July Quinn, you only have two choices now. The first is to watch your mother die miserably by my hands. I assume you wouldn’t choose this one."

"The second option is to sign this contract now and then shoot yourself. I will let your mother go immediately."

As for Richard Donovan, Joseph did not mention him.

Because today, he would not leave Richard Donovan and July Quinn any chance of survival.

Joseph threw the prepared document at July Quinn.

Seeing July Quinn reaching for Joseph’s pen without hesitation, Richard Donovan quickly grabbed the document and glanced at the contents.

"You want all of July’s assets? That’s too much ambition."

Richard Donovan held July Quinn’s contract tightly, worrying not only about Joseph’s outrageous demands but also fearing that July Quinn would sign it as swiftly as he did and then shoot herself at a speed that no one could stop.

"She took everything from our Marsden family, not even sparing our manor. Now I’m just reciprocating."

After Joseph said this, he urged July Quinn again, "You only have five minutes!"
